“Great staff, polite and friendly, and the facility is very clean. Our two dogs were seen quickly and taken care of. One has heart worms and the other has had a cough for quite some times. They gave us options for treatment, supported our choice without trying to sway us one way or another, and took care of our pets! Will be going back to them annually and as needed.”

“Dr. Budd is absolutely the best. I'm so happy we found him! I had an emergency situation and was desperate for immediate help. Dr. Budd took care of things as soon as possible. His care and compassion was obvious from the very start. He took the time to talk to me, explain things, and let me know before he took each step of the necessary procedures. He and his assistant (unfortunately I didn't get the gentleman's name) were urgent, and efficient in their work. His cost for treatment was fair, and very competitive . “My family has taken our furbabies to Northside since 1992--well, my parents are still clients, but I moved out of town in 2022. It had occurred to me to leave this review now because last Tuesday, I lost my elderly tortie cat, Sally, to kidney disease, and Dr. Cox treated her for hyperthyroidism while I still lived in Waco. If you need a vet who deals with animals and their owners alike with compassion and empathy, Dr. Cox is your man. About 10 years ago, Dr. Cox made a house call (though I don't think Northside does those anymore) to euthanize our 21-year-old kitty, Sox, who also had kidney disease. Dr. Cox was so very kind and gentle with our old guy. He injected the sedative and then asked if there was a spot in the house where Sox loved to nap. So we moved our baby to his spot by the fireplace, and we sat and stroked him and talked to him as the sedative took effect. I still remember Dr. Cox saying something to the effect that he liked to imagine a cat on drugs would envision themselves bounding through fields of catnip and chasing after squirrels. We laughed through our tears, and we knew that we had given Sox the best life possible and a peaceful end. Thank you for caring, Dr. Cox.”

“My grandparents live in Axtell and have a bad time with stray cats just showing up. There was a litter of kittens born to a feral mama cat. We caught 2 of the kittens and brought them in for the free low cost spay and neuter to help prevent more babies. The process is easy, to bring them in and they explain everything. We ended up keeping the kittens inside a room. until they were healed and then let them back outside. We never could catch the mama cat as she always outsmarted the trap. Definitely a servixe that is needed and I am extremely thankful they have this program 🙏 they do clip the ear since they are feral outdoor cats. They do this because if someone else traps them they can know they are already spayed.”

“I highly recommend Lake air for exotics, I accompanied my best friend to take her hedgehog in with a large lump. The receptionists were sweet, we were took back by the technician who was so very kind, they were very comfortable handling the hedgehog and were very sweet. The vet Dr.Emerson was also super kind and comfortable. He let us know kindly that her lump was cancer and to let her live out her happy old hedghog life till it’s time! Thank you lake air”

“I had a really great experience here this week. My previous vet had resorted to using sedation for all visits w my cat. I didn't like this. The veterinarian Dr Zamzow. I am pretty sure that was his name was very patient and understanding. The prices for vaccinations and the basic exams was very reasonable. They were patient and I can tell experienced in handling my cat. He even called my cat "spirited" which was kind to my cat. She definitely is spirited. I used to not look forward to vet visits w my cat and dog. However I am somewhat looking forward to my dog visiting in June. I love the fact that cats and dogs have their own space to wait to be seen. Excellent and I would give five stars except it is visit one but they deserve it. They are on 84 by Woodway I am very happy so far.”

“I can’t thank the team at Waco Animal Emergency Clinic enough for saving my daughter’s cat, Toast! While cat-sitting, Toast swallowed a foreign body and needed emergency surgery. Even though the clinic wasn't open yet when I arrived, the ICU technician, Hallie, met me at the door, let us in early, and immediately started the paperwork so Toast could get into surgery without delay. During surgery, Toast coded while under anesthesia, but the veterinarian was able to perform CPR and bring her back. When I picked Toast up the next morning, Hallie was once again incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. Everyone at the clinic was amazing throughout a very stressful situation, but a special shout-out goes to Hallie for going above and beyond. Highly recommend this clinic!”

“Really have enjoyed the service here. Staff is very respectable and things are a bit more casual here. We have brought our two dogs and still need to bring the two cats. The veterinarian we see is very nice they are willing to work with our budget to help us get the most done like shots etc within our budget. Very happy here. My understanding is that they offer boarding for cats and dogs. Really friendly and respectful to us and our dogs. Really very well pleased.”
