Do not ignore the reviews saying how difficult this company is to work with. Overpromised and underdelivered on every front. They also won’t contact you about pick up and delivery dates so you have to chase after them for answers. And then when you annoy them by calling a few times, they block you? Very strange customer experience, AVOID.

I cannot state this more explicitly: do NOT use this broker to plan your move. They are just salespeople who over promise and when they inevitably can’t deliver, hang up on you and refuse to communicate. Oscar, the person we worked with, consistently made claims they did not uphold (specifically, about timing for the day of move and drop off). When we spoke to someone who claimed to be a manager in the sales department, she was horrifically rude and unhelpful. I’ve never been spoken to the way or misled the way these people did. They will not contact you as they say they will, you will have to follow up on every little thing. I will be warning all friends and family to not use this service, and I hope everyone else will heed this warning.

Very bad experience with new start relocation
I booked my move from Los Angeles, CA to Katy, TX on July 21st
Few issues with this broker
1. There are no updates about pick up dates and delivery dates, till you call them and ask about the updates. And don't trust the timelines they provide, it changes
2. I clearly mentioned to Sales representative , I have stairs at Katy apartment and my apartment is at second floor and he mentioned that there won't be any charges for stairs. Clearly it was not the case and delivery happened on 08/03/2025 and shipping company demanded the extra cost $160 for stairs if more than 10 steps and long distance carry if more than 60 ft (it was just walkway path and just they used trolley to carry packages) . These were not communicated by broker.
3. It seems there are terms and conditions about steps and long distance and sales person was not even giving time to read entire contract and solicitated till contract is signed & payment is completed.
4. I called to New start relocation about this discrepancy and their representative are irresponsible and not even helping.
5. If they could have informed earlier, I could have made my decision and be prepared for it. Hiding the additional fees is very bad

So far, it’s been a horrible experience. I was told that my stuff would arrive between three and five days and can’t get a straight answer of when I will actually get my stuff now I’m being told 2 to 14 days and when you’re really according to a new state and you have to get to work you need your stuff and they can’t promise that besides that my quote went from $2000 to when it actually got happened it was $4000. Do not recommend this company at all

The movers that showed up destroyed some of my furniture. A desk and the bottom of my futon. They moved the desk inside my new house instead of in the garage. I later broke the desk down in to pieces to be thrown in the garbage. They also gave me a card saying they do work like hanging Televisions. Nah I’m good I don’t need more broken hardware. Didn’t offer to discount the moving price after the desk was destroyed. These guys need to be more mindful of their work. Don’t think I’ll use them in the future.

They gave me a great quote I paid the deposit and then tried calling them for months to get answers or to speak to someone, they hung up on me multiple times. The staff sounded like they were on drugs and they were rude as hell didn’t make any sense. They only logged that I called 3 times when I called every day for almost 2 months to speak to someone. When I finally got to speak to someone it was 72 before my move so I was unable to fire them and get my deposit back all due to their negligence and lack of communication. They passed the blame and took no responsibility for anything they did. I was lied to, treated like crap by the customer service team and told it was my fault that no one from their company returned my calls. I left multiple messages they said they never got. Hire a different company and save yourself the head and money.

Kerry, Casey and Jared were awesome!! Loaded everything and unloaded everything in about 2 hours in heat. Made moving from the second story so easy and stress free.

Third party, don't hire them to move anything. 2000 over estimate. What choice did I have at 8pm on a Saturday night. Go anywhere else.

Extremely horrible … that’s all I can say. Do not use them for any moving services. It will cost 2.5x more than their “final” quote. Also they do NOT offer refunds. If you’re looking for a headache and high blood pressure, please call New Start Relocation. It’s an unforgettable experience.

Initially the quote was good. I told the gentleman exactly what I had and gave me a fair price. When the movers came, there were additional charges that were tacked on because the SQ footage was incorrect. I had nothing more than what I described in the quote and somehow my footage doubled. This doubled the price. They won’t tell you this until your stuff is loaded on the truck and you will pay extra for steps. $75 for every 8 steps. You would think that when I told them it was on the 4th floor, that would be included in the estimate. Nope not at all. They give you a low bid to get you scheduled. Then you’re screwed. I then told them my delivery location does not accept an 18 wheeler and they want to charge me to move stuff to a smaller truck before delivery. It was picked up on a smaller truck. And put on an 18 wheeler by them, just so they could charge me to put it back to a smaller one. Joke of a company. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.

We used these guys for a local move out of a 3rd floor storage unit into our new home. They did such a great job that we hired them again to do a long distance move. The guys are polite, respectful of your belongings and your home, and friendly. We’ll use them again if we ever need a mover.

Took $865 from me and wouldn't reschedule my move therefore wouldn't refund the money, looked at their horrible reviews afterwords, a bunch of crooks, stay away

We were recommended to this business by a previous moving service who was unavailable for our move and we didn’t even get past the quoting process. I had questions that remained unanswered and throughout the quoting process, my messages were most likely left on read, as it took so much time to get a response.They missed my initial phone call and never tried to call me back to make the quoting process easier. It took a business day and me reaching out the previous moving company to get a text message back.They may be great movers and this could’ve just been a bad time for them, but they’re missing out on money because they couldn’t complete the process of getting us quoted. We moved on for our own sake.
