I love this place so much. Nature, peace, and beauty in every step. Clean, safe, and a good place to reset from the week.

Chandor Gardens actually surprised us. The gardens are pretty and I can see how it would be gorgeous in the spring. On the day of our visit, we stopped by the office to pay for admissions, but a note on the door indicated they were out to lunch and to enjoy the garden for free. There are lots of opportunities for photographs. There were lots of water features. We did not stay too long because the garden was full of biting gnats and mosquitos, so do not forget the bug spray when visiting.

If you’re in the area, this is a must-see. The grounds are filled with breathtaking photo opportunities. An easy to walk path leads you to one stunning view after another.

What a treat to explore Chandor Gardens. For people who have not researched the site, it's very interesting.

Great idea having artists and vendors at a garden!
The garden is amazing but the artist was an additional treat!
Love the different parts of this unique garden!
Beautiful!

Very nice garden, plenty of green, waterfalls, streams, koi, and fountains. Even at the beginning of October there was plenty for our photo club to do. Look for small, hidden spots along the trails.

Best keep secret in Weatheford! A beautiful English/ oriental Garden. I really enjoy seeing the seasonal color changes at the garden.

The gardens were beautiful. An easy stroll with oohing and aahing at every turn! Not too much exertion for two 65+, slightly out of shape guests. Plenty of shady spots to sit and enjoy the views; but even children would enjoy exploring all the nooks and crannies, the bridges and stepping stones across the ponds. There is an adjacent .8 mile hiking trail for the more adventurous visitors. Would imagine the gardens are even prettier when flowers are all in bloom.

Pro Tip: bring fish food, especially if you have young children. There is a pond (or two) with very hungry koi fish. The office doesn't seem to have fish food for sale.

We visited these gardens on a weekend trip to Weatherford. It was a very hot July day approaching 100 F as the high for that day. We went early at about 9:30 am and saw the gardens in about 1 hour. Admission is $5. The gardens and water features are beautiful! Koi fish in the pond. Lots of shade. Would be a great place to sit and read for a while in cooler weather.

We enjoyed strolling through the small but lovely gardens on a rainy afternoon. I think the mist added to the fanciful beauty. When you pay the small admittance fee, ask for the garden guide handout so you'll understand what you're seeing. Be sure to look for quirky things all over. (Actually, before you go, look up the gardens online and read the history. Knowing what the gardens have been through will add to your joy of seeing the beauty today.) If a visitor is in a rush, 30 minutes will do to see the grounds, but if you want to really enjoy what you're seeing . . . well, that could take as long as you have plus another visit!

Chandor Gardens is a beautiful place to have a wedding! The staff is super kind. The main thing that I would recommend they improve on is their rental regulations. Their contract details are extremely vague and they will withhold your deposit for the smallest reason. In the end, I wish the venue would have communicated more specific expectations, details, and rules with me prior to my wedding. I would also tell future renters to be aware of the tripping hazards due to steep seating areas and very dim lighting. Three guests fell at my wedding. Two of which were elderly people. For the most part, I am happy with my experience at Chandor Gardens I would just tell future brides to be very aware of these things when booking.

A nice intimate garden very close to DFW. Cost was only $5.00. They appear to make money on weddings which would be an ideal location.
