I've been to the one in San Antonio. It's nice to have one in the Houston area. They have been open for about a month now. We had two indoor courts reserved. While we played, we ordered drinks and they took awhile to come. After playing, we moved to the other building since others reserved the courts after us and we needed to vacate the table and chairs. You have to go to the cashier to order food. They won't take your order at the table unless it's drinks. Then they give you a number to place on your table. The food is delicious. The service wasn't great and was slow even though there were many waiters/waitresses. It's nice that they have many games like cornhole, battleship, Jenga, ping pong tables, etc. Dogs are allowed too. We will definitely be back.

First time here. Love the vibe (why they received a 2 and not 1). Great concept but didn't follow through. Got the rotisserie chicken, it was good but just warm. I also got the street corn, same not hot. Husband got a chicken sandwich and it was cold and he said Mac n cheese was better out of a box. The girl that took our order didn't ask if it was our first time and didn't explain anything. She just said "can I get a credit card to open your tab". When my husband tried to order a drink she said that we could order from our waiter/waitress WHO NEVER CAME! We ordered and had no clue what was going on, didn't receive a receipt or a total of our order. We sat there waiting for our food while a girl with "staff" on the back of her shirt walked and greeted every table around us which was large but us. They had a young lady walking around handing out a shot of their signature drink for the night but no one ever fallowed up to take an order. Over all not impressed which is sad because I had high hopes.

From the looks of it pickleball is just simply tennis with a smaller racket or else nobody here knows how to play it LOL came here because I thought oh great a restaurant with rotisserie chicken something I can have at a restaurant, two stars for having an allergen menu!! Sadly though, there's absolutely nothing on your menu other than a couple of sauces that I can eat. I cannot believe rotisserie chicken is made using cow's milk?! Wth?! Absolutely never heard of any such but by doing so since cow's milk and eggs are the top two US allergens you've effectively removed a large percentage of potential customers. Oh well.

Well, the concept is ok but not quite right. May work for some young crouds, but if you want to sit down and have a proper dinner, go somewhere else. You can sit at the bar and order your drinks and / or sit at a table and place your order. Our waiters was nice, but drinks were coming at different times by different people. The food, oh, that's another story you have to go order like McDonald's, and then you can not order appetizers and then dinner. Oh no, everything comes when it comes. He try to place the orders with different numbers but didn't work, so you get what you get. So if you order sharables they may come after your dinner...lol not a good concept at all. May work for kids, but not for adults.Food didn't really taste good. The salad was dry , dressing mmmmm. Had to go back to the order area and get more salad dressing. Wings came last. Hummus was good. Queso was ok a bit burned on the bottom of the skillet. Rotisserie ckn was fine.

First time pickler here, and I see what the hype has been about! As its name implies, Chicken n Pickle serves chicken based meals, along with Pickleball courts. Depending on your preference, you can reserve either an indoor ($20 for one hour) or outdoor covered court ($10 for one hour). There are 2 buildings, one being the restaurant and the other being the indoor courts. In between, you'll find tons of outdoor yard games, tables, and seating. Chicken n Pickle is family friendly, so you'll find little ones running amuck (watch out!). As far as the food goes, it's pretty standard American. You'll find rotisserie chickens and a variety of other chicken options such as smokey wings, chicken sandwiches, and salads or bowls with chicken. The food was pretty mediocre to me. Nothing exceptional, but also not horrendous.

This place is really neat, pickleball was really fun! The food was okay and the service was okay. We will definitely be back and maybe try different dishes. Or maybe just to play games.

I personally would not return to this place. I went on a Sunday evening for the first time to just watch the game and grab a bite to eat with the family. Everything was chaotic from trying to figure out where to go to someone actually explaining the tab system throughout the building. It was a 22 minute stand in line wait to order food. The options are not that great, but for a Sunday lunch it would have to due since we were already there. We ordered the pulled pork quesadilla, pickled sandwich, hot chicken sandwich, and chicken tenders. It took about 25 minutes for our food to come out. They brought out the wrong side for one of my dishes, but a staff member quickly fixed that. The tater tots were over cooked and hard, the sweet potato fries were mushy. There was no ketchup available. So fries, tots, and chicken tenders dry, can you imagine? The chicken tenders had no flavor, although it had a notable crispy coating, there was just no seasoning on it. The two sandwiches were good. The quesadillas were the best thing in my opinion, just a little greasy. The drinks were not uniform in amount offered, and most drinks were premixed. The bartender would just pull a jug out from under the bar top, pour it over ice, and serve. They ran out of their only frozen drink they offered. I ordered a glass of wine and was brought a glass with a lipstick stain on it, the staff member quickly took it back and I watched the bartender just pour the wine into another glass instead of tossing the contaminated drink away, and making a fresh one. The establishment itself is beautiful and the pickleball courts are huge for activities with the family and friends. They have other games to play as well. The service, food quality, and sanitation are questionable. So I would eat and drink before I arrive if you plan to visit!

Fun spot, especially for families. Reserve your pickleball court ahead of time -- walk-ins are welcome, but they were fully booked the day we were there. Still, we had fun playing ping pong, cornhole, Connect Four and foosball. We went mid-afternoon on a spring break weekday with nice weather, and it was busy, getting livelier towards dinner time. The food exceeded expectations for an entertainment-geared venue; no rubber chicken or cardboard pizza here. We enjoyed a very tasty meal up on the rooftop patio, overlooking the bustling courtyard lawn. Overall, it was a very enjoyable family outing.

Came in on a weekday with a few coworkers for pickle ball and happy hour food and drinks. Some of us have played pickle ball a few times, some like me have never played. Needless to say I was looking forward for some fun times and that's exactly what we got~ As you walk in you'll immediately notice how massive this place is. We were greeted by someone literally as we walked in. We had reservations for a pickleball court, so we headed to the court area where you can play, order food and drinks from the bar. I will say the happy hour is a great deal. I got a quesadilla for less than $6, and it was delicious. The cocktails are $2 off also. If you have people in your party that just want to hang out they have table tennis, cornholes etc. Overall, this is a great place to get some pickleball and social time in. Definitely a place worth checking out. Glad they opened one in Houston!

Good place and good food. Give it a month or two to get their process done. Food was very very late to arrive and how do you not have ketchup at a restaurant? I will be back in May for one more chance.
