Easy to drop off clothes and they are pretty quick in response. Though I was surprised they didn’t take some name brand items. I’ll definitely try again if we need to get rid of some clothes in the future.

I dropped clothes off to sell and got a text exactly 5 min later that my sell was complete. Obviously they didn’t take anything. I had brand new nike tanks, a kendall and kylie sweater, shirts from pacsun… etc. I’m extremely disappointed in these people. They didn’t even take time to look.

Was not impressed with their process..I took in SEVERAL pieces of NEW, NICE Clothing...They rejected all..Total waste of time...There's no rhyme or reason of their selections..Plus all my items were very neatly folded and when they threw it all back on the counter at me..they were all messed up..Ni respect...

Great place to buy clothes that i wouldn't be able to afford otherwise. The staff filters through pretty quick, it seems, but everyone has been very nice.

When I was ready to try on my clothes I asked for a chair and I was told they were removed during Covid. I asked the lady if they had any way that I could sit since it is difficult to try on pants without a seat, and she said no. At the checkout, I told her that that Plato's Closet may be in noncompliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act, or at the very least may be alienating older customers. She said that the last stall had a seat, but she had never offered it to me. And, as if to make me pay for my complaint, they did not fold my clothes nor did they put it in the bag I provided.

It is nice to look for great deals at Plato's Closet in Webster. You can get brand names for a fraction of a price a new item costs. You do not know what you will find but it is fun to look!

After attempting to sell here multiple times, I can say with certainty that their buying process is a joke. The clothes on their floor are 20+ years old and stained. When you bring in name brand clothing (American Eagle, Zara, PLL, etc) they don’t give them a second look. On top of that the store is completely disorganized and the clothing is always in the wrong section for its size. They need a massive inventory overhaul. I will say I’ve never had a bad experience with an employee here— if anything I feel bad for them. It’s just a terrible system all around.

I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with a staff member at Plato's Closet -Baybrook. (apparently they cannot provide their names to customers) My first interaction was Sunday when I went in to ask about selling clothes, this staff member provided the information I needed to know but in a frustrated tone. She did have a ton of clothes behind her and I said maybe she's overwhelmed, I decided to go during the week when its less hectic.Today 08/02, I took my clothes in, no issues. I returned about 7:20 to finish the transaction of selling my clothes. This staff member asked what I needed, she said someone would help me in one of the front counters. I did wait in the area where the front counters were located but not in front of a specific one since I didn't know where they would be helping me at. This staff member was talking to another staff member (not near a register) yet apparently she called me up. I wasn't sure if she was talking to me since she was not looking in my direction. " I can get you right here" is what she said to me in a disrespectful tone with a look of disgust. I then said back in the same tone she gave me, "I didn't know you were talking to me since you were not looking at me." Then she says, "oh it's ok." At this point I was done with this transaction and asked for my clothes back, I decided not to sell because of the way I was being treated.I don't know if she was having a bad week, if she was overworked, not getting paid enough ... I can only assume, or maybe it was the way I was dressed; she decided not to take me seriously.. and she sure enough didn't care how I felt. She still had the nerve to tell me have a great day. This staff member needs to self reflect how she comes across with customers and I hope her days get better.

This Plato's closet location is an over price garage sale selling clothes at 3/4 of the retail price for used items that have visible wear and tear as if they are "like new". The floors as well as some the clothes are dust covered and the as if they were thrown on the floor by customers and just reracked without being checked by staff. The temperature in the store feels well above 75°, which makes for a very uncomfortable shopping setting as if they don't want customers to shop in the store for very long or it could just be that the AC is in poor condition. For less then a quarter of the retail price i can go to goodwill and buy lucky brand jeans a nice button up shirt and a pair of same condition shoes for less the a plain tshirt at Platos closet. This location need to step their game up and lower their standards on the value of the clothes they sell, especially when they buy your clothes from you they only offer 3% of how much they will sell your items for. If there was an option for negative stars they'd get -4 instead of a positive 1 star. But the staff are nice when you interact with them.

I will not be coming back to this Plato’s closet… I brought in a huge heb bag worth of items that included lululemon, athletica, and other normal name brand items along with shoes. they took 2 t shirts and gave me $5. don’t recommend if you’re trying to sell your clothes.

You just have to call and see what they are buying back if you are looking to sell. Don't haul your big bags of clothes over and think they will look through it all. And they buy things for just a few dollars so don't expect much! I'm just going to donate to good will from now on- it is way less of a hassle IMO.

This is one of the worst Plato's I've been to. Staff was really rude to me for no reason at all, they really acted like me being there was a bother to them, and I wasn't even bringing anything in to sell. Plus, the store is so unorganized. Things are in the wrong size category all over the store, it was really frustrating to try to look through. And the prices are ridiculous. Charging almost the same as a new garment for one with visible pilling or multiple snags in the fabric is just ridiculous. I'm not paying $25 for a tank top with the seams pulling apart. I won't be back here.

The conditions for buying are inconsistent. You could bring in brand new brand name IN SEASON things and they still won't even look at it. When you come in to sell, the workers look at you like you're an inconvenience to them.
