Do NOT go to Stuehrk automotive. After bringing my car 2 separate days, paying him 200$ for an A/C inspection, and waiting 2 weeks for him to give me the results (called him every 3 days to follow up), he said he doesn't feel comfortable fixing my car even if he bought parts straight from BMW. He was unable to determine if the parts were compatible. It only cost me 300 more to fix it directly with BMW. I pointed out to him where the compressor was and showed him that the compressor was not turning and pointed him to what needed to be fixed, yet nonetheless charged me the full diagnosis amount with no intention of fixing my car. It took me 2 weeks of begging for an update for him to tell me he was not going to proceed because he didn't know if replacing a bmw part would work. This was back in late 2023 when I was new to SE Houston and didn't know where to turn in the blazing summer heat.

Every interaction I have with this shop is positive and straight-forward. Mike is an amazing human and a straight-forward and knowledgeable mechanic. He'll go above and beyond service you'll see from other shops. I came here on recommendation with my Hyundai over 10 years ago and won't go anywhere else with my new Toyota if I can help it.

My dad knows Mike, the guy who runs the place. He’s good about explaining the problem with the cars, and he keeps telling us to replace the cars instead of Frankenstein-ing them back together indefinitely.

I have no issue going out on a limb here, and haven't even picked up my Range Rover from Mike, but I can tell you from my dealings with him on the phone and a brief 5 minute in person talk at his shop, that this guy is straight up is absolutely not looking to take advantage of you, your vehicle, or your situation.Mike could not have been more transparent and honest with me in my dealings with him with a difficult situation. I have every intent to not only return to his shop with this vehicle, but also wholeheartedly recommend him to my family and friends who need honest, straightforward assistance with their automotive repairs.I will be updating this post as I get to know Mike, his shop and his capabilities with other vehicles.It's early days, but "I like Mike"!Services: General repairs & maintenance
