Had my first ever appointment this week to get screened. Staff was quick, environment was quiet and not too noisy. Front desk was nice and greeted me when I walked in. I was greeted by Jessica one of the employees who walked me to the back to get my screening started. She was very professional, thorough and answered all the questions I had. She informed me of every test and what was gonna be done before each procedure. She also had a light hand when taking blood (my least favorite part). Visit took no longer than about an hour and a few minutes to get everything done. Will definitely be coming back.

They were very helpful with everything but the wait is just too long what is the point of making an appointment if you’re just going to be waiting another extra hour for them to call you in. and there wasn’t many patients. Something I also disliked was the rude lady at the front desk, she sits on the right side on the front window wearing a blue sweater and glasses she just had a rude tone the whole time she talked to me, not even a thank you for sending her the check stubs, she laughed at me when I didn’t get the email right for the clinic. Not very impressed with this clinic, was there a whole hour just for them to tell me I didn’t qualify and the lady I spoke to before I came to my appointment said I did, just a no to this clinic!!!!

I don’t understand how I got here 45 minutes ago and there is only 2 other females in the lobby with me, yet none of us have been called just stuck here waiting. What is the point of making a appointment when I still have to wait a whole hour and more to be called

Fantastic experience! I received a diagnosis and appropriate prescription for $0 and no insurance.
Ms. Gonzalez MSN, APRN was so kind and gentle. My nurse was also great at her job and at drawing blood (I didn’t even feel it!). The receptionist was also very professional. I felt absolutely zero judgement from the people who work there. They also gave me like $20 worth of condoms!
My heart is as big as Texas right now for such an important clinic. I feel so taken care of and as a grown man I never thought I would feel this way outside of my family. This is a ‘not-for-profit’ clinic kept in operation by the State of Texas ❤️. This is what all healthcare should be like in America.

I booked an appointment for my mom today at 10:30am I had previously gone there for my self and my appointment went okay, the ladies were very dry and not welcoming and the wait was super long but I’m not one to complain about things like that. I work in the dental field as a receptionist so i understand the waiting times, but at least try to be welcoming to the patients. Anyways, I’m the one who takes care of my mom and helps her fill out forms. The front desk lady immediately said it was only the patient so she told me to wait outside which is perfectly fine, I just wanted to let her know that my mom speaks Spanish . We waited for two hours and they finally call her in. My mom comes back out not even a minute after they called her and they told her the doctor had to leave and told her she could go to the office in McAllen right now or come back Friday. I had already asked for the morning off from work to bring her. My mom didn’t know what to do since I’m the one who brought her so I got up to ask her if we went to McAllen right now if they would send her file over , as soon as I get up to ask her the lady cuts me off and says “ma’am it’s just the patient that’s allowed here” and I’m just like okay but I’m the one who’s driving her I want to know if you guys are going to send her file over or if she’s going to have to fill everything out again and waste more time. The lady tells me “ well she’s a new patient here with us” like letting me know it doesn’t really matter if she does the whole process again. At the point I’m already over it and I just let her know that she can fax over her paperwork that way when she gets there everything is good to go. We got here to the clinic and the lady here in McAllen tells my mom that they didn’t send anything and they only send one page. So now we’re here filling everything out again because the girl from weslaco couldn’t follow through. The girls here in McAllen are much more welcoming and she even helped my mom with the forms. The girls in weslaco have no customer service etiquette, i understand this is a low cost clinic to people who need help but at least try to be more welcoming and patient, and not be so stuck up. I would recommend the office in McAllen. The girls here are more patient and nice.

Everything went great from the start to finish.

They do take a little bit of time if there is a lot of people but I won’t complain with the nurses being friendly once they check you they are friendly.

Don’t understand why many people complain about time or ext. take a book or be on your phone, visit is literally free, u don’t see other drs office doing that. I am very content with my visit last week. From front staff to Dr very friendly and knowledgeable, all questions answered, blood work done, and birth control all that same visit. What more can you ask for free? I’ll gladly return!
