The staff at this hotel was unprofessional and inconsiderate. The front desk clerk gave out our name to a stranger, which allowed him to sneak into our room while housekeeping was cleaning. He attempted to steal our belongings—thankfully, he only managed to take some waters and teas before being stopped. The maintenance worker noticed something suspicious, intervened, and made the stranger return our things. At that point, the stranger already had our luggage and personal items in hand, ready to walk out.
While we’re extremely grateful to the maintenance employee for stepping in, the rest of the staff—including the manager—failed to take accountability. Instead of apologizing, the manager tried to blame us by suggesting we had given out our key. The hotel wasn’t even going to inform us about the incident until we went to the front desk ourselves to ask why our items had been moved and why our drinks were missing. The front desk clerk was dismissive, and the manager was unprofessional, unhelpful, and unwilling to take responsibility for their mistake.
Housekeeping also needs to be much more careful, and the management needs to handle situations like this with professionalism, honesty, and concern for guest safety. We felt gaslit by both the manager and the front desk clerk, and we did not appreciate how the situation was handled.
The only positive was the maintenance worker, whose quick thinking prevented a bigger loss. Otherwise, this experience was unacceptable, and we will not be staying at this hotel again.

All has been fine EXCEPT this time. The charge of $150 for a pet whereas before there never was a charge, pets were free! I figure I might as well go pay my pet fee at the Hyatt Hotel and to boot get a free breakfast! The rates have also gone up. I used to pay $78 plus tax for 2 queen size beds and now you charge over $100! Nope you just lost a customer! Goodbye forever! So disappointed with Motel 6!

I've stayed here multiple times when I come to town. The single rooms are tiny like a closet so I always get a double bed. I travel with my cat so she gets her own bed. This time though, after I had paid for room and signed all forms she told me I needed to give her another $150 dollars as a deposit. She told me just use the ATM and give her cash and I couldn't have the room I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR unless I did. I better not be charged for a room I was denied entry. That is some real ghetto hustlers in there

We stayed here for 1 night. The room is small but it was clean. The attendant, Melissa, was very helpful in getting us checked in and aquatinted with the area.
We will stay here again in the future. It is also very convenient to many attractions.

I stay here every time I come to visit family .
staff is always very friendly have had the pleasure of talking with Alex who is very happy and friendly. My only complaint would be is that my room smelled so bad like weed after coming back from visiting family.

Beds hard as a rock. Toilet kept making noises all night long. Told them about it the next morning. Didn't do anything about it. Cockroches. Other guests kept making noises all night. No respect. Never stay there again.

Always friendly staff, motel kept clean.
My AC unit was extremely loud but I only stayed one night and couldn’t switch rooms for other reasons. In my reservation I had also asked for an extra blanket and towel for my elderly mother because she gets cold easy. But didn’t get them.
Very minor things compared to the value and affordability. I travel with dogs and an elderly person. Motel 6 has helped me be able to keep traveling without spending a fortune on pet fees.

Water Smell Needs Fixing
My stay in Room 320 at Motel 6 Weslaco was overall pleasant. The staff provided great customer service, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, the water from both the shower and sink had a strong, fishy, ocean-like smell, which was unpleasant. If they can resolve this issue, it would make for an even better experience. Other than that, it was a good stay.
