I would like to go back to see Dr Cordova, I made a big mistake in stopping to see him! I had been with Dr Cordova for almost 30 years and found him to be one of the best, caring Phychiatrist! I have left my name and number and am hoping he can take me as a patient again!

Dr Cordoba's patience and knowledge have given me a life that I love living. I started working with Dr Cordoba in 2005 and continue checking in with him to this day. I have Bipolar I. He was quick to identify my first major manic episode in 2008. He had an effective game plan and worked daily with my Dad to help keep me on the right doses, and how to keep me out of trouble during that time. Cordoba helped get my SSDI Disability case approved in 2011, which has a huge positive impact and made my life manageable. He has been understanding and respectful of my Eating Disorder recovery, and has worked well within my recovery team. He has also helped me with treating my Narcolepsy. I appreciate that Dr Cordoba prescribes medication in slow increments and tries to find the lowest effective doses. I have been stable and happy for about 7 years now. I still have occasional anxiety episodes, and life still happens, but I am able to manage it and I look forward to each day. I am truly grateful Dr Cordoba. thank you!!

Kindhearted, emphatic, personable therapist with a passion to see you grow mentally and physically. There's not much more you could ask for in a therapist. Dr. Cordoba is a one of a kind gem, I'm blessed to have in my life. He enlightened and lifted me from the darkness - using differing degrees of therapy and techniques. Dr. C. has been providing me invaluable care over the past few years that has made my life enjoyable, easy, and free of fear.Well worth the cost of our sessions. I feel renewed with life when leaving the office!

I have a lot of experience with psychiatrists. Cordoba is amazing. If you truly want to improve your life and work towards a better state of mental health he will work with you. He has an amazingly calming presence and can be both completely professional and analytical while giving you space to be vulnerable. It's a wonderful combination, and for some one like me whose issues involve a lot of fear and anxiety especially around opening up to people, he's amazing. For example, I'm writing this review knowing that it could be connected back to me and people would know I am seeing a psychiatrist. This is a level of bravery I wouldn't have had before. He will work with you, listen to you, take your concerns seriously, consider multiple options, actually read your medical chart to see what other conditions or illnesses could be affecting you... and he works very hard to research medications that might be good for you taking everything into account. He will not force or push medications on you, and discusses them thoroughly and clearly. He will make your well-being his concern, not your obedience to him in taking whatever he prescribes. Also his sessions are meaningful. He talks with you, he tries to get to know you. He does not listen superficially for a short time and then send you off with a script to fill as if Psychiatry were a fast food joint. If you are afraid to take a medication, have a bad reaction, or have any reason to be concerned about it he will not force it on you and will work to try to find a solution that actually helps you. In short-- he CARES about his patients and that is so beautiful and meaningful.Really good Psychiatrists are rare (sorry if that is offensive) but they are, and most general doctors can prescribe the drugs with their MD or OD but they do NOT have the education that really is needed to specialize in this field. He is a gem, a true gem. I don't even live near the area anymore, but I drive in to see him because at my age and being some one who has had life-threatening non-psychiatric illness, I've learned that when you find a really good doctor you KEEP that doctor. Your health is worth it.

Dr. Cordoba is the most compassionate and kind psychiatrist I've ever worked with. I've been going to him for a long time. He cares about me and not just my medicines. He works with me and lets me have a voice in the decisions on my care. Sometimes, I have to wait for him for a while but I know it's because he's working with another patient. He gives us all the time and care we need. I would recommend him to anyone. He really gets it and knows how to help. He doesn't pooh pooh my suggestions. He really listens and we have implemented some alternative therapies to help with my bipolar disorder and anxiety. I feel I can cope much better knowing he's in my corner.

I was a patient of dr cordoba's for many years and he was very helpful for much of that time. He's a great doctor who cares about his patients however his admin process is abysmal. It became so problematic to schedule an appt that last year I made the decision to switch to another dr. The problems weren't just with scheduling they were also with communication regarding canceled appts. 3-4 times I was told I owed for missed appointments even though I called several days in advance to cancel. After the first time this happened I began recording date and time of my calls so could fall back on that to prove I had canceled prior to 24 hours notice. What prompted this review, nearly 7 months after I last saw him? Long story short , after attempting for 2 weeks to schedule a follow up back in Augustand not having any luck I switched doctors as I mentioned earlier. At that time I left a message with his office stating that due to difficulties scheduling I was moving on. Well, that was in...August 2015. Guess who called today to check in with me about a follow up appointment? That's right, his current secy/admin person. Unbelievable and really very sad.

Dr. Cordoba helped me immensely when I was at my worst. He truly cares. He always took time with me. He explains things well and does use a holistic approach; he doesn't just write you a prescription and send you on your way. He recommended a book that I still use and have passed on to several friends and family members that have helped in managing day-to-day life and understanding where my anxiety starts: improving mood, approval addiction, overcoming perfectionism, and other detrimental behaviors. We moved out of state years ago so I don't go to this practice anymore, but I highly recommend him. He helped me more than anyone else ever has. Life is pretty good now and I will be forever grateful to him for his help!

Dr. Cordoba is very knowledgeable and kind. He's a great psychiatrist and knows his stuff. He's the best psychiatrist I've ever worked with. He is caring and compassionate and takes time to talk to you as well as medicate you. He never rushes you and he is always concerned that you are at your optimum levels of medications. He takes care of his patients and is there for them. He's never let me down. I've been going to him for several years and hope to see him for many years to come.
