I've been coming here for a few weeks now, and I think it's great. It's never crowded. Machine are clean. Wiping towelettes stations all over. I can get a good workout here.

Shady. Please do not be tricked by this Gym. This gym has very shady business practices when it comes to memberships. If you sign up for a month to month membership, this is not fully the case.Update: I have changed my rating from 1 Star to 4 Stars due to the sole fact of Lisa's help at this particular gym (She is the General Manager). I left a review with 1 Star, Lisa is current and keeping up with reviews, as a great GM should, and responded in order to help my situation with membership. I emailed and she did a courteously refund and left my account in good standing and canceled my membership fully. I haven't seen a better GM in long time. This gym and members will be taken care of as long as Lisa is there.

I love Golds. I just wish more people would not sit on the machines for 10 15 20 minutes at a time on cell phones.

I currently attend the Gold's Gym at the West Lakes location and while the facility's location is great, I am disappointed by the state of the equipment and the overwhelming presence of high school kids during my workouts. As a paying member, I expect a certain standard of service, and unfortunately, my recent experiences have not met these expectations.Firstly, the gym equipment appears to be outdated and in need of maintenance. Many of the machines are showing signs of wear and tear, which not only detracts from the overall experience but also raises concerns about safety and effectiveness. As a member paying a monthly fee of $45, I believe that the gym should be equipped with modern and well-maintained exercise gear to support my fitness goals.Furthermore, the high number of high school kids loitering around the machines is disruptive and makes it difficult for paying members to utilize the equipment effectively. Their presence has been consistently overwhelming, and it significantly detracts from the professional and focused atmosphere that I would expect from a gym. This issue needs to be addressed promptly, as it affects the overall experience of members who are paying for a quality fitness environment.I urge the management to take immediate action to address these concerns. It is essential to ensure that the gym provides a comfortable and conducive environment for all members to pursue their fitness goals without unnecessary distractions. Failure to address these issues could result in the loss of loyal members who expect a higher standard of service.I hope that Gold's Gym will take these concerns seriously and make the necessary improvements to maintain the quality of its services. I look forward to seeing positive changes that will restore my confidence in the gym and its management.Sincerely,MGL

I really enjoy this location because there's never a crowd of people. Customers take care of their workouts without lingering on and socializing.

This location loses a lot of points for many reasons, but it gains a lot for other reasons as well. The pros:-Cardio Cinema-Group Classes options-CrossFit room/classes-Enough equipment for everything you may need-Well located (heb, Starbucks, chick filet nearby)-Bathroom on the floor as well as in lockersCons:-Some equipment is bafflingly old-No Sauna-Not enough equipment of some popular exercises-No Pool-Members (see below)The ugliest thing about this location is the members. There's a LOT of high school teenagers that come to this location. There is a high school and middle school near by, and the kids flock to this location, especially in the afternoon. So if that's the time you have to workout, be ready to be surrounded by hundreds of Teenagers, some taking videos for their Tick Tacks, horsing around, crowding up machines, and taking up large sections of the gym.Aside from that, there's not much choice in the area for big gyms, so you're stuck with this if you can't afford to have your own equipment at home. However, if you are able to go to the Bee Cave location instead, I would highly recommend that

The team at this location are fantastic. They do a great job managing this gym and I have really enjoyed being a member over the years. A great value and a great place to get in shape and stay healthy! I am a huge fan of the cardio cinema and they do a good job of maintaining and replacing equipment as necessary.

Solid equipment but a little smaller than some other locations. A great place to go for morning and lunchtime workouts as it it not usually super busy. The staff is friendly and there is always plenty of parking.

Gym opened about 14 years ago, it was amazing .. 14 years later, ALL the same equipment and cardio machines, 1/2 the treadmills are broken and other cardio machines. Gym is outdated and too small for current member volume. I went at 10AM on a monday and it was so crowded I couldn't even get a workout in. They need to shut down, expand, update and reopen.

Very upset the A/C in the theater room is down. This place needs a deep clean. The rest of the gym stinks of mildew.

Great place to get a pump. Prices are fair ($30 per month) and they have all the equipment you could need. It can get busy but that adds to the energy and atmosphere

I cancelled my membership and they kept charging my account and then sent $100 to collections...Stay classy Gold's.

So many children running around. There should be an older age limit. The high schoolers just sit on machines and take the benches. Some of them actually workout, but a majority just talk to each other and flex in the mirrors.

Sitting out side 27 minutes after the scheduled opening of the gym - no employee has shown up to open the doors! About 15 athletes waiting to start the morning. Great way to start the workout!

They shut down the pool and sauna here during the pandemic. As of Feb 2023, it’s still shutdown. Manager says they have no plans to restore this service and no plans to discount what they’re charging people who paid for it.Their response below says they eliminated the "wet areas" including the sauna to focus on strength training. Sitting in the sauna after a workout never distracted me from strength training. And I suppose all the other Gold's locations that have saunas are apparently distracted? BRING BACK THE SAUNA!
