BE AWARE.. Vehicles on website MAY NOT BE the one you go there to look at.
We found a Mitsubishi Mirage LE advertised by this dealership so called and asked if it was still available. website indicated 15 in wheels, heated seat rearview camera, etc etc etc.. all LE features, And a 7 day warranty sticker on the window. Drove a hour to get there with the expectation of taking home the car we wanted. He even stated would be back from Dallas to meet us as he was the only sales person there but was in Dallas at the time.
We arrived there before him and took a look at the car. There was a dealer stick on the inside of the dash advertising it for $4995. the wheels were 14 in, and there was electrical tape holding up a camera on the center of the driver side hatch. check the ESN and it was for an ES---.. he showed up and offered a test drive so since we drove all that way figured why not. He drove us down the rode when he backed up I noticed the rear back up camera did not display on the screen. he then offered me to test drive continually turning on and up the stereo so I could hear the car as I drove it. He even mentioned to us we could have a 3 day return period because he wanted to make sure we were happy with the car after we bought it.
We got back and I pointed out the sticker price, he was nice and said he would honor the price as he hadn't had time to change it to match the website price of $5495. I mentioned that this was not the car advertised available which he had told me on the phone when we spoke earlier that it was. I mentioned the back up camera and he said that the electrical tape was there because someone had tried stealing it but it worked. I asked about maintenance and accidents, He stated no accident regular maintence very well maintained. I sked about the difference in mile the picture showed 96,000 but the odometer showed 97000, he stated it was because he drove it to Dallas three times. I check the CVT fluid and it was black. I also mentioned the ESN shows an accident to the rear end. I got back into the car started it up put it in reverse and it said no connection available. I pointed out the ES doesn't have a back up camera and that this was after market looking like someone had drilled into the hatch to install it. He argued with me stating it was an LE. I literally pulled up the VIN on website and showed him where the VIN is for a base model ES not a LE. He would not negotiate a change the price because of the lower value in trim Es being cheaper than LE, the fact that the car was not what we drove up there to see other, and the transmission fluid looked like it hadn't been changed once in the 97000 miles the car had been driven, other than the $500 difference from the price online and the window price he had advertised. Then he tried telling us that the one on the website was once he had sold about 2 weeks ago and the person he has working for him (after he told us he was the only person who worked there) had marked sold on the website and posted the care that was currently there (even though the photos online were the same exact car, black electrical tape on the hatch and all.) Then when I ask about the 3 day warranty he offered us and the 7 day warranty sticker on the window, he said that he never offered us a 3 day return warranty and its bought as it, he just hadn't removed the 7 day warranty sticker that was on there from the bank he bought it from. He got frstrated from me pointing out what was advertised and was was being offered which is why we drove up there was not what he had nor what he currently offered once I started pointing out problems. BAIT AND SWITCH and a waste of gas and time. Other may have had a good experience with him, but we did not.

Farooq was very honest and easy to deal with. I would be coming from Houston to see the car and Farooq took time to answer my questions, even did a Face Time road test to show me the vehicle so I would know it was worth my time to drive 4 hours to see it. Once I was on site there was no pressure to buy, he allowed me to get an independent mechanic inspection and in the end I made the deal. I will not hesitate to reach out to Farooq next time I am in the market for a used car.
