Union square has an archaic app interface and desktop interface. It is not intuitive to navigate, transfer money, etc. When attempting to do things such as principal only payments on the app there is no clear selection. There are other frustrating features on the app. If you select the "Cards" tab it gets stuck loading and you have to close out the app and re-sign in to get it to refresh. The people are nice and responsive, however overall disappointed in the website and app. One should be able to navigate something easier when they tie up a significant % of their wealth with a company.

The experience I had with your institution has been nothing short of a nightmare, from start to finish. To begin with, I discovered that a bank account had been opened under my name without any authorization or knowledge on my part. This blatant violation of privacy and financial. As a reputable credit union, I expected Union Square to uphold the highest standards of integrity and respect for its customers.Furthermore, when I decided to close the account after selling the car from which it was created, I yet another Despite best efforts to transfer the remaining funds out of the account, I was shocked to find that money was deducted without any explanation or valid reason. This unauthorized deduction from my hard-earned money only added insult to injury. To make matters worse, I was forced to endure a two-month waiting period before finally receiving my money. This delay in releasing my funds is in and customer care the part of Union Square Credit Union. As a customer, I deserved prompt and efficient service, especially considering the circumstances surrounding the unauthorized account creation.Union Square Credit Union's actions have not only caused me significant inconvenience but also eroded my trust and confidence in your institution. It is disheartening to witness such disregard for customer rights and financial well-being.

The lady that manages business accounts did NOT give me her time of day. I work during the day and are available to come in at 4 (BEFORE CLOSING) and I sat at her desk at 4:15 and she did not care about getting business done close to closing. I had multiple questions about opening a business account and about the packet her secretary gane me and she gave me short answers and told her to just email her the questions I have, even though they were important and meaningful to me. She just brushed me away. I left with an disappointing face and the employees noticed and asked if I was helped and I told them what happened and they apologized and suggested I use a different bank (preferably Texoma Credit Union) because the lady who helped me is known as a grump. First time going into Union Square to give them an opportunity and now I know never to give them my business or suggest anyone else go there. My dad is also a member there and is ready to leave them.

Horrible bank with horrible customer service. Anyone who gets fired from Wells Fargo can come here & work. Literally the same tellers and bankers. Expect the same type of service sad part is their “local” & try to push that community values bs. Even their call center reps are rude, disrespectful & incompetent. Their no better then the big name banks they just have less features and bonuses. They’ve saturated the local market with multiple branches but save yourself the trouble & use a bigger name you’ll have a better chance at getting actual help.

This is the worst Credit Union I have ever dealt with. I have been using a Credit Union in the town I moved from for the past 3 years. With direct deposit and online bill pay, it was not an inconvenience. But since I live in a new community I decided I needed to have a local community bank. On March 27th, I went to Union Square CU to open an interest earning checking account & a savings account. The person who helped me was Brittany. I wrote a check on my other Credit Union account for a reasonably large amount…I was not going to walk around with that kind of cash on me. I wrote a 2nd check to open the savings account. I asked several times to make sure the right checks were going into the right accounts. Opening both of these was a surprisingly quick process.Yesterday (April 2nd) I tried to use the debit card, because with the checking account I have 12 debit card purchases per month are a requirement. It showed up Insufficient Funds! The purchase was Only $11!!! I said that can’t be right, let me try again. The same results! I just paid cash, went straight to an ATM and printed out an account balance. It showed I had a NEGATIVE balance in my account of $249! I called first thing this morning and spoke with a young girl named Kallie. I told her what happened and said I wanted an explanation. She told me the negative amount was the money that was taken out of the check to open up the Savings account. I said NO you are WRONG! I wrote TWO checks one for each account! She put me on hold for a moment, then came back and told me she needed to go talk to someone else about my account & would put me on hold, and would be back soon. When she came back she said, it was a mistake and a teller was correcting it. I then said the checks cleared my bank on March 28th. There may be a hold on some of the funds, but how much do I have access to now? She said none. The entire amount had a nine business day hold on it, but she could tell me when that would be removed.I am a new client/customer. I have had my accounts for ONE week! And your financial institution made a terrible first impression. Your new accounts personnel need more training, or at least the one I had does. She should have notified me of a nine business day hold on 100% of my funds.I have a background in banking. Worked several years in a bank, and loved the interaction with our customers. I’m sure there are a lot of differences in a Credit Union and Banks as far as regulations & requirements. But I had a Wonderful CU where I moved from, who put action to the words “Customer Service”.I may have made a HUGE mistake by thinking it would be a good move to get some place closer. And it’s certainly not too late to fix that decision. I have seen Nothing that gives me confidence in Union Square CU.

Have been attempting to secure a small vehicle loan with some smooth brained incompetent lady named Morgan Patterson. She is not punctual on calls, and would rather walk around her office laughing while not having kept up with anything she claims she will do. For example, I she sent me and a co documents to sign and then explained she sent us the wrong ones when I called her. Then took another business day to send us the correct ones. She doesn't even understand the idea of security from a seller and title transfer either and seems too prideful to ask for help or confirm she doing the correct things. She asked the private seller of the vehicle to send the title over BEFORE they send out a check. Not even cash. No seller is just going to hand over the title with nothing in their hand. I don't know who thinks that would be a good idea especially if this is done long distance. I checked my bank account and saw that my loan payment came out 5 times simply because she put 2022 instead of 2023. I am not waiting to receive my refund depending on how many months Morgan decides to wait to send me the new forms. I have never worked with someone so unprofessional, unknowledgeable, and as frustrating in my life. Simply put she cannot communicate and validate any of her work and it always boils down to having to call and wait 3 years to get on the line with her IF she is even at her desk. You might as well not waste your time and effort for a 1% difference in interest rate. Go to a better local credit union and go IN PERSON if you can.

This place is a joke. The people LIE. We had some troubles and got sick. Truck payment got pushed behind. We made an agreement with a guy named Will8am for $300 a week. On weeks we couldn't pay we informed him how much we could do. He agreed and said everything would be fine. Oct. 13 a call was received by Heidi to us. The agreement with William was explained and she said he had no right to agree to this and we needed to come up with $. We explained to her next pay day was the 18th and we will pay what we can as the ORIGINAL agreement was manageable. On Oct 14 with no warning this company sent out the repossession papers. On the 17th the truck was picked up by repossession. The day before we told them we could pay. We were called a liar, mind you all calls are recorded and documented on our phones. The supervisor over Heidi told us they would not drop the truck unless we out right payed if off at 44k when we were in fact not even 3 months behind. We were only 2 1/2. This happen yes we were behind yes but they lied to us. Refused to work with us. It is now only the 19th of October and they have already reported to our credit. Get ready Union Square. I document and save everything!

At one time they were the best credit union and bank around. Since recent updates and changes they've lost their appeal. I've been banking with them for almost 20 years. They're making things harder on members and taking conveniences away. Multiple lanes from the drive thru downtown have been removed and replaced by 2 "ITM's" . Free coin counting for members has been removed. Enjoy your 3% fee now, 10% for non members. Save a trip and take it to Walmart for a 3% fee, while you shop. While the nation is being hit by hardships they choose to remove these conveniences.

Update.....Shortly after writing the review I received a phone call from Union Square CU asking if there was something that they could do for me. I stayed no that the lady had taken care of my issue. He stated that the problems that I was having were due to "growing pains" . I call it "incompetence".I would like to comment on Union Square CU in Wichita Falls Tx. I financed a new car with them on 5/24/22. A couple of weeks later I changed my auto insurance. At this time I gave the auto agent the information to send it to Union Square CU to let me them know that I had changed insurance company. (Not my first rodeo) A few weeks later I received a notice from Union Square CU due to them being notified of the cancellation of first insurance and I sent them my info again. A few weeks later I received another notice from Union Square CU and I called the number they had listed and was put on hold. After waiting over 15 minutes I did the que call back that they offered and I also sent the information again. I'm still waiting for that call back weeks later. Today I received a final notice and that they had purchased an insurance plan for me for $7,075.00. Wasn't that nice of them? So this time I called and waited on hold over 20 minutes to speak to someone. I will admit she was very nice. She had to call and verify my insurance coverage and she was placed on hold while I was on hold with her. She did come back and let me know that she was on hold and wanted me to know. I told her to just call me back once it had all been taken care of which she did about 15 minutes later. The only reason I went with Union Square CU was due to getting a great interest rate, however probably will not do business with them again since the wait time anytime you call them is excessive and their que callback sucks! I wish I had read all these bad reviews before getting this loan.
