I closed my account on January 23 because I was tired of going in to be faced with broken equipment, filthy surroundings, and broken bathrooms. Up to today, well after the 30 day signed cancellation notice, my account is being charged. Alex Tellez, why is this happening?

I’ve been in Wimberley for 4 years now and have seen different management styles and some of the previous reviews are correct. However, as of now, I can attest to the present managers—Alex Tellez—enthusiasm and care for the upkeep of the gym along with his professionalism and timely responses to any issue that arises since he’s been around for about the last 6 months. That being said, I highly recommend this location to anyone in town as the best gym spot around!

This place “used” to be great. Equipment is no longer well maintained and things are broken all the time. I’ve been a member since they first opened and have seen the changes with multiple ownerships. This is by far the lowest point I’ve seen it. My “grandfathered” and locked in monthly rate increased by more than $20/mo. The reason - new equipment and improvements. I have yet to see any of that. In fact, the a/c was broken half of last summer. Agree with other reviewers that there are teens running around there all the time - I’d still rather see them at the gym than getting into trouble. However, they need to clean up after themselves. Bottom line… Can you still get a good workout? Yes. I think it comes down to choosing between convenience and a higher quality experience. Such a shame it’s gone so far downhill.

The general manager there was rude and aggressive, he yelled at me while trying to cancel my membership. I will not do business with this company ever again. Customer service and appreciation is dead.

Great gym, awesome equipment, and outstanding management. The manager keeps the place really clean and is very friendly and approachable.

"WE DONT CARE AMD IT SHOWS!" There's always trash all over the place, management is always absent during staffed hours, always a bunch of teenagers running around making a mess, not putting their equipment back, getting in people's way, shoving each other around yelling at the top of their lungs. Same broken razor blade sat on the floor in the bathroom for 2 weeks straight. Equipment wipes are always empty. Broken machines 24/7. They really don't care they only want your money. Save yourself the headach and go 30 min down the road to the AF in canyon lake. The management actually gives af there. 0/5 stars

If I could give a zero I would. RUN AWAY from this gym, horrible management and they will not let you cancel your membership!!!They give you the runaround when I’ve tried several times to just pay and close account and I can’t. Now sent to collections after 30 days….THEY ARE HORRIBLE

This owner needs a vacation, new career, or some love. Stopped here for a workout on the road and the vibe is OFF. Whoever runs this outfit has no regard for the fact that Wimberley is a vacation destination and there WILL be guests coming through here. Salty, threatening, micromanaging signs posted all over the place. Two stars bc they had what I needed to get my workout in and I didn’t get kicked out for working out in a sports bra without a shirt per the big sign up front ? really?

Glad to see they are once again promising to fix A/C now in July 2022. It was problematic before Covid. Broken for well over 2 years. 87 degrees inside at noon. Must get into the 90s around 4. New owners spent $ doubling size and spiffing up place but won’t fix A/C. Same for 1/2 treadmills don’t work for over a year. Call to manuf reveals plenty of parts. Owner wants to attract new member $ but won’t fix ac or equip. Some say they looking to lease out to another tenet and will close out. Meanwhile they won’t invest in repairs. No regard for members. Rarely staffed.

Terrible place. A/C was a problem before covid. As of July it has been not functional for 2 years. Never staffed. Owners have extended middle digit to Wimberley. Spent bucks to double size to attract customers but once in, one discovers truth. Too hot to work out. No staff. Dirty. Some speculation they intend to rent out space to another business once they find one willing to pay. Meanwhile they take money and offer high temp facility and broken equipment.

This was my first time working out at Anytime Fitness in Wimberley but I will certainly be back next time I’m in town. The gym has everything you need for your workouts but what put it over the top for me was the service. Even as as a tourist working out on a day pass I felt like a full member by the level of service provided by Dakota. I highly recommend this gym if your the area.

Just popping in to leave yet another disappointing review. Things seemed to be looking up for about a week, I'll give it two to be generous. The facility was being cleaned regularly (equipment still broken down and disgusting ie:elliptical/treadmills) However, that only lasted a little while. The BIGGEST issue of all, a broken AC unit. It's been broken for at the very least a year. Temperatures are upwards of 105° plus and the AC is broken. The owner is aware. The membership manager (apparently not a facility/property manager) is aware, yet it's not being handled. "Quotes have been acquired" but it's 90° plus in there. It's 80° at 5 am. If we wanted to workout in a sauna, there are places to do so. We pay membership dues to have a clean, cool, well equipped workout facility and per my last review, this lackluster gym is a far cry from any of these expectations.

I've been a member for several years and it's a good little gym but it can get a bit crowded.
