I visit this Brookeshire's 2-4 times a year when visiting Winnsboro. Good prices, great selection, and superb customer service. The staff are friendly, will answer questions, and seek to make customers at home. My best buddies and I intentionally got to this Brookeshire's instead of any other option around.

Purchased a Brisket. Not good. Was tough. Cooked it for many hours. Not first time cooking this type of cut. Unfortunately, just bad beef. Rest of the store is great.

Their prices are a little higher, but it sure is nice to be treated like a human being and get nicer service.

Ok, sure, we all know the building and interior could use an update, but it doesn't really need it if they can keep prices down. We also know, this is the only place for a supermarket if you are local. That said, the service provided by the employees was top notch! We arrived about 45 min to closing on Friday and were able to get everything we needed. Nice touch with making sure people get some help to their cars. Why not 5 stars?....it was close to 5 stars...just not there. maybe 4.9?

I've heard it called "Crookshire's", undoubtedly due to the higher prices than most grocery stores, but when you're the only game in town, and stock doesn't walk itself in from Dallas, you can expect this. You're always gonna pay a little more for convenience. All that aside, it does seem in need of updating (which will probably drive costs up a tad), They're using shopping carts that I haven't seen since the 80's! The deli & bakery are nice, and the shelves always seem to be stocked. it's better than a drive to Sulphur Springs!
