Pyke’s Crossroads Restaurant is a gem we can’t get enough of! This husband-and-wife-owned spot in Winnsboro, Texas, is our go-to for an unforgettable dinner whenever we’re in town. The lively atmosphere, often enhanced by live music, makes it the perfect place to bring friends for a fun night out.
The food? Think elevated, home-cooked perfection that never misses the mark. From their phenomenal brunch to their standout dinner menu, every dish feels like a labor of love. The four varieties of deviled eggs are a must-try—hands-down the best we’ve ever had! The Hungarian mushroom soup is another non-negotiable, gracing our table every visit with its rich, soul-warming flavor. As for entrées, we’ve yet to find a dud. Whether it’s the comforting meatloaf, sophisticated veal piccata, creative pizzas, hearty chili, or exotic elk tenderloin, everything is executed flawlessly. Craving something indulgent? The massive tomahawk ribeye delivers. Even their burger and fries are a cut above.
The experience is elevated further by the full bar, masterfully run by Pyke himself, while his wife, Stephanie, seamlessly oversees the rest of the operation. Pyke’s cocktail game is strong, with creative concoctions and classic drinks done right. The bar also boasts unique brews and an impressive wine list. The space itself is a showstopper—a sprawling bar aglow with LED lights, anchored by a massive wood-burning oven that adds warmth and charm.
Pyke’s Crossroads Restaurant is nothing short of extraordinary. It’s a top-tier dining destination that stands unrivaled within a hundred-mile radius. Don’t miss it!
Bon Appétit!

Very cool, old storefront building containing a real brick oven, wood floors and an almost mystic interior. Great service, freshly prepared entrees, and some very creative adult beverages added to the scene generated by some refreshingly cool live music.

The food was great, the service was great and the live music was fantastic. Overall, everyone in my party enjoyed the food. It would be a great place for date night, the vibe was fantastic. A bit too expensive for family night, portions were small for the price, and I did not appreciate that they add the tip themselves on parties over 6. Plus I do not know what a service fee is but it added $6 to my bill.

This restaurant is such a great surprise to find in Winnsboro, TX! Beautiful atmosphere and truly housemade, fresh food was amazing! Not your average small town dining experience. Like fine dining in a classy, casual atmosphere at a good price.

I recently was told about this little gem in Winnsboro that has a Reuben made from scratch. For those that follow me you know I am a Reuben lover. This will now be an A list spot for me. The meat was packed with flavor and the dressing had just enough kick to feel but not over power. The balance of the flavors is an absolutely perfect blend. I really enjoyed the service as well as the quiet atmosphere. They are moving to a larger location soon so we will have to test there too. Great food.

I had the pecan crusted salmon & it was cooked perfectly. Waiting time was good. I'm not a big eater so the piece of salmon in a small bed of wilted spinach was good.
Parking: If someone can't walk a lot, drop them off at the door. I rode around a couple of times & it still wasn't close. I went at lunch & it wasn't busy, which I was thankful for, because there's not many tables. But is quaint and nice.
