“I hosted my second annual retreat with Gathering Oaks and it went off beautifully! Rebekah was such a great help from my first visit to well after check out. The property was beautiful and clean and has little special touches throughout. My attendees noticed everything from the premium hand soaps to the Turkish beach towels, everything was done in excellence. It was accessible and easy to find for attendees as well.”

“8-20-2023 Attended the Waco card show in the Brazos ballroom. No other events held this day. There was Limited street parking. However I learned There is a parking lot near the waterfall entrance. Unloading was quick and easy, under the covered circle drive up. Escalators and elevators available to get upstairs. Room temperature was good, restrooms on first level were all closed but the upstairs facilities were clean, stocked and available. Vending machine was nearby. Lots of Waco historical information and photos like the corridor from parking lot entrance. Right across the street you can see the Waco suspension bridge.”

“Nice place. However, they had the fireplaces burning and one needs to be vented through the roof and it wasn't. Smoke was everywhere. Got our closes Smoke smelling. We were there to meet the cast of The Waltons 70's TV series. It was a good setup.”
“Excellent Venue!We got engaged in the spring of last year and were searching for a venue in the Waco area. Deerfield Estates was one of the few that we were very interested in. After we toured Deerfield we fell in love! The barn was absolutely beautiful and has a great history, the bridal suite was perfect size, and most importantly, the grounds were absolutely perfect for an outdoor ceremony. We made sure to book it as soon as we could.Leading up to our wedding day, the venue had changed owners a couple of times. Nevertheless, we always had excellent service from our venue representative. Our final point-of-contact was with Katlynn and she was excellent. She was swift at responding to our questions and made sure to keep us informed concerning any updates that happened to the property. When it came close to the Wedding Day and the event started getting stressful, we were glad to have Katlynn as our point of contact.For our wedding we had approximately 75 guests attending and we planned to have an outdoor ceremony under the terrace and the reception in the barn. However, due to unforeseen weather, we had to move the ceremony indoors. Luckily, due to the size of our guest list, there was plenty of space within the barn to do both without feeling cramped.For our reception, we made sure to utilize the flatware and silverware in the kitchen that is made available. A quick important note is they were renovating the kitchen when we had the venue booked so the dishes were fairly dusty due to being exposed. So if you utilize the dishes, make sure to give them a cleaning before and after use.We also had a open bar and were pleasantly surprised to discover they now have a booth for the bartender (or a DJ) to utilize. Our bartender was also happy for the industrial ice maker in the kitchen that he fully utilized.In summary, the venue was beautiful, the staff were fantastic, and we enjoyed our wedding even through the unforeseen, terrible weather.”

“We arrived on a Friday and were quickly checked in. We asked how best to get to Magnolia Market and given easy directions. We spent a few hours and headed back to eat at hotel restaurant. The restaurant had light music playing. The booth had a monitor playing Mash rerun? A few other couples eating. Phillip was prompt at getting us menu and waiting for our drink order. My husband ordered a Manhattan with up grade Makers Mark and I, Red Blend house wine. He came back as no Maker Mark nor Red Blend wine. My husband chose another brand and they only had Pinot noir or Cabernet. Phillip made drink and brought wine. We both ordered sliders from the appetizer area. Not real hungry. The buns were over toasted as well as meat to grilled. Really did not enjoy our meal. Phillip attentive. This is why 4 starWe went to the Jacuzzi and it was very enjoyable. Our room large, clean and well lit. The beds very comfortable. Morning came and I found no hair dryer. Called down and one was brought up.The parking lot is well lit and plenty of parking.”
