These lodges are really quaint and cute and perfect if you aren't needing to stay directly next to Zion. We didn't mind the short drive to the park and it was nice to feel like you're not connected to a big city. The room is great for 2-4 people if you don't mind bunk beds. You do have to walk to the bathrooms and showers which can be tricky when it's cold but kind of gives you that outdoor camping feel without completely being outside. They do also have a playground if you're bringing kids. There are spots to grill and chill outside if you brought food to cook. There is a small fridge inside as well. It took a little while for the room to get warmed up but after it was warm, it stayed quite warm. What was most memorable for me is that the sky is so dark that you can look up and see the stars perfectly. My sister is a city gal and remarked on how it was amazing to just see the stars since she doesn't get that luxury with all the light pollution of the city. One thing that might be off-putting is that the cabins are somewhat close to the road. So you can hear the cars whizzing by all the time if you're a light sleeper. That didn't bother us since after several hours of driving for our road trip, we were sawing logs and counting sheep pretty quickly after downing some pizza from the little Caesar's in the next town.

Found this hidden gem when my husband and I decided to extend our stay last minute when visiting Zion. I came across a Gooseberry Lodge online. They had great rates when we arrived. The location was really cute and super clean. We checked in late so the facility is ran on a self check in basis are large was cozy, clean and comfortable. totally recommend for large groups, or even small families they even have your own personal fire pits and grills, the bathhouse was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I can't wait to go back.

Such a fun little place to stay! Check in was a breeze and it was great that we could self check in since we got in way later than expected. 3 of us stayed in 1 queen cabin together. The complimentary wood was great, the neighbors were great, and the access to use items from the store area were super useful. The major perk of staying in the lodges is the beautiful landscape you get to see while driving to the surrounding towns. It was a perfect little getaway. The only reason for the 4/5 stars is because my friend who slept on the top part of the cabin hit his head once or twice because the ceiling was low but I think for kids, it would be totally fine!Definitely would stay here again!!!

This little spot is fantastic! A 15 minute drive in either direction will get you to groceries, and our cabin was outfitted with a fridge and microwave so we easily prepared quick meals to eat at our picnic table outside. Everything was clean and the bed was comfy! This was our second stay and we plan to return next year.

We loved this adorable little cabin! The customer service was a 10! The room was simple and clean. A bbq and fire pit area with the most beautiful views! The "officer was stocked with snacks, drinks, s'mores kits to purchase (very reasonably) with coffee and anything you might need to bbq or have a fire, including everything you need to do laundry. Which was great for dirty hiking clothing. Really lovely. We didn't realize we booked a cabin with a shared bathroom, but the cabin was changed to a bigger one w a shower without issue. A little far from the park - about 45 minutes and restaurants/stores - 20 minutes. But it worked out fine. It was way less of an issue than we thought it would be upon arrival. We did a really beautiful walk called Jems Trail about 5-10 minutes away.

I've stayed at Gooseberry a couple times now & will be once again this coming May. I love it! I first found this place from googling glamping spots near Zion. It's located about 30 mins from the park & easily accessible from the highway. I like that it's so secluded & you can really see all of the stars shining at night. There's a mix of smaller and larger cabins. The larger ones have their own bathrooms & the smaller ones share a common bathroom/shower area. Both times I stayed everything was very clean and the water was always hot. Outside the cabin you also have a fire pit, chairs & grills available. There's a small office area which has items to borrow for cooking like utensils, seasonings, etc which was super convenient. At night it wasn't too loud at all, quite peaceful. They also allow pets if you're wanting to travel with your fuzzy friend. It's perfect for a quick weekend getaway & enjoying some Mother Nature.

Booked very last minute! We got our cabin number + door code within 5 minutes of booking! Was very easy! Self check in. The cabin was small but perfect for us, just me my boyfriend and our three dogs. $15 pet fee you can leave in cash drop box or Venmo. Restrooms are located outside of the cabins in a separate building. Several restrooms and showers. Office is located on the property, you can grab snacks/drinks/coffee/wood/s'mores kit.. etc..They have a list of prices and you just Venmo for the items you grabbed! (Honor system)Office also carries extra dishes and utensils or towels if you need to borrow :) Had a great experience. Fairly close to Zion national park.

Found this green roofed lodge on Booking.com and thought it was reasonable, clean and perfect for 3. Although it's a 45 minute drive to crowded Zion, it's a pretty country mile with scenery from old westerns. After experiencing massive crowds at the Visitors Center, bookstore, SRO shuttle busses, trails, lodge and the Narrows, I am so glad to book this serene little cabin in the boonies right off the highway 59.The entire experience communicating with management was virtual. They send confirmation, codes, and instructions via email. There's a little office that provides reasonable refreshments, supplies and local suggestions. It's all on the honor system, so please don't spoil it. The cabins are neat, new, small and well-equipped. Smaller cabins have a fold out couch that can sleep two. Up above is a tiny loftbed for one. Instructions, towels and clean linen are inside each unit. AC, space heater, micro and a small fridge round it out. Plugs, nightlight, 2 windows and blinds help with comfort. There are multiple, very clean, shared bathrooms and showers for the 2-rows of 25 cabins. There are hammocks for cabins with porch hooks. 5-gallon buckets have lighters, fluid and metal tongs to manage wood, grills and campfire pits. Firewood is available. Shared picnic tables between cabins and right-side parking on cinder. Check and download email instructions before passing through Zion- no internet until you hit a town. You need to enter the code you're sent then press the "lock" icon to open and lock the door.Dumpsters are at the far end. Large water hoses are between units for cooling off, washing dust off cars or filling anything. There's a Chevron 500 feet down the street.Oil on door hinges and an ice machine would be welcome additions. We were happy to stay here mid-June, weather was near perfect and it's tranquil.
