Ernie's Truck Plaza is an independent family-owned truck stop known for its old-fashioned hospitality. It offers tons of free and reliable overnight parking in a nice, quiet, and dark lot. The food is affordable and tasty, with famous chicken tenders, biscuits and gravy, bacon or sausage and egg biscuits, and oatmeal raisin cookies. The place is very clean, including the bathrooms. The staff is friendly and outstanding, creating a thoughtful and welcoming atmosphere. It's a great alternative to larger chains, conveniently located near a local cafe and auto parts.
I am having to do a 10 hr break here on Thanksgiving day. They are serving Thanksgiving dinners to the drivers. This is so thoughtful and I am truly grateful and blessed. Thank you for making me at home.
