Anasazi State Park Museum offers visitors a chance to explore the history of the Ancestral Puebloan people who lived in the area from around A.D. 1050 to 1200. The site is one of the largest ancient communities west of the Colorado River. Outside, visitors can tour a life-sized, six-room replica of an ancient dwelling and see a portion of the original archaeological site. Inside the museum, a collection of artifacts excavated from the site is on display, including beautiful pottery and arrowheads, some of the best the reviewers have seen. The museum provides insights into the lifeways of the native people and their history, with many artifacts and displays. The site itself is the actual location where Native Americans once lived, with remains of ancient dwellings visible behind the museum. The facility is well-maintained, and staff are accommodating, making it a pleasant stop. Visitors appreciate the free admission and the opportunity to learn about Native American history, with some reviews highlighting the emotional impact and the importance of cultural preservation. The museum also features a gift shop and a Junior Ranger program for kids, making it a worthwhile stop between Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef.
A great State Park with museum & local taco trailer in the lot.

This was an interesting place to visit. They have old rings that have been dug up and preserved. They were in the middle of a remodel and did not charge us to go through the museum or grounds. There is a food truck in the parking lot with amazing Indian fry bread.
