I have lots of contact with people who buy cars from Spectrum Auto Group. I have found that this company is the prototypical predatory car lender. They charge exorbitantly high interest rates, don't engage honestly with their customers, and sometimes even fail to report collateral proceeds for a debtor's account when they refer it for collection. I have no respect for a company whose business model is cheating and defrauding the poorest and least financially literate segments of our society. If you are thinking about purchasing a car here please do not. You will most likely end up with an enormous debt that will haunt you for years to come. Note that many of the positive reviews indicate how easy it was to buy a car even though that is not necessarily a good thing. If it's too easy to buy a car somewhere you need to think hard about why that is. In this case it is because they expect you to default. Once you do their perfected contract stipulates collection fees that you pay for, out of court arbitration, and high interest rate that keeps you paying even long after you've paid back the principle.

Ok.. Here is the deal... I knew going in my interest rate & down payment would be high. So I expected that.... For those of us who's credit takes a nose dive due to a divorce..... This might be the only option... To bite the bullet...
I bought a car here... Made all payments on time and it helped me rebuild my credit score.... After 4 years.. Traded the car in & bought a new car with a much reasonable interest rate.
The car was good and served me very well in my travels. Did the regular maintenance as required.
When it comes down to it... Would I recommend them? Of course... Depending on your financial situation....
They helped me get back on financial track. When no other lender would give me a chance. So thank you Spectrum Auto Group!

I came to buy a car form then off KSL. They had not sold it for over a year and so I came and looked at it. Car looked awesome but that shitty jiffy lube passed it even though it has a ton of illegal s**** (HID kit, bad tires, no E brake etc.) they sold it "as is" but failed to mention that they LITERALLY unplugged the bulb out of the "check engine" sensor in the dashboard. Never before have I felt this duped. It took me a year to figure it out. And the car still runs (after a tune up and new water and fuel pumps.) but the fact that these idiots illegally took out the check engine light shows you just what they'll do to make a sale. Do NOT buy a car from here. Hit up KSL and ignore shitty dealerships that ruin your life. 😂

Its terrible they say they will fix my car and they fix it for a few days and after its nothing same problem all over again all over again they never fix it and plus they want to pay more than what it is i will never tell anybody about the place its terrible

I'm so blessed to have come across Spectrum Auto when I was searching for a nice, easy and affordable car dealership to purchase my first car from on Google. Spectrum Auto not only was at the top of the list but also had the highest ratings and awesome reviews! So I decided to give them a try and I'm glad I did. Michelle assisted me through the whole process, from the first day I spoke with her over the phone filling out my credit application..until the day I had my test drive appointment..to walking me out to my car handed me my keys, my new mats and shook my hand! That's what I call a PROFESSIONAL who cares about her customers and who has GREAT customer service skills! Spectrum really do CARE about their customers and they make sure that you are comfortable with your purchase. I picked out my car on their website from their inventory list and that's exactly what I drove off of their lot:)..It truly was a day filled with blessings and will forever be grateful. After I signed all documents with Michelle I met with the lovely Diane! Who's the manager of the Lien holder company. She walked me through everything about my payments (due dates, method of payments, grace periods, and etc.) she covered it all! And did I mention she's a PITTSBURGH STEELERS fan!!...yup, #TeamSteelers baby!✊ she was a sweetheart. Thank you Michelle and Diane for making my first car purchase experience a memorable one and for making me feel comfortable conversating with the both of you about my purchase! You two ROCK! *Warning* DO NOT purchase a car here! I bought an 06 Chevy Aveo January 2014, March 2014 my check engine light came on, failed catalytic converter caused by oil leaking into my cat. Also, ECM has been replaced. Within 1 year I have dumped over $2k dollars into repairs. Check engine light has come on again, trying to get out of insane upside down loan. Being a single mom and this car is my only transportation, I am not impressed.

Sold me a car with a bunch of known issues. Car was not able to pass safety and emissions. Won't own up to it now that the car NEEDS these problems fixed. Instead they had their "mechanic" look at it. He didn't do anything about the problems, instead he just tried to point out problems that he thought I created. They basically tried to push the blame off on me, instead of addressing the problems. Don't bother with this place. Dishonest and are a bunch of SCAMMERS!!!
