EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!I was with this Credit union with my personal and 3 company accounts. I began using this CU over ten years ago. In the beginning they were great. Over the last 4 years the customer service has gone down to what I wouldn't even call it customer service. I ran MILLIONS of dollars through them a year with my accounts. I requested multiple loans which took so long I ended up going to other financial institutions. One of which was a simple vehicle loan. Even though I had the money in my accounts to pay cash to purchase the vehicle but they still needed more info and documentation that they already had. I went into America First credit union and had a loan in 15 minutes! No kidding! They wouldnt refinance my house, which I did with another institution. They wouldn't refinance my commercial property which another institution did for me. I had fraud on my accounts and it was a nightmare dealing with Ufirst. I needed funds released on approved checks and they wouldn't release them, even though they are able to loan against those funds. its going to cost me thousands of dollars to move all my accounts to a new financial institution but this Credit union will not be getting any more of my money. If you are a customer Oriented person and like customer service this financial institution isn't for you. In my opinion none of the employees simply don't care about the customers.

THIS BANK! Repossessed my car, even though I’m up-to-date on all of my payments and I have been since I’ve bought the car…. They took the car, in the middle of the night. But they are never open at reasonable hours especially if you work Monday through Friday close on Saturdays. This bank is horrible.

Opened a checking account with this credit union. My direct deposit bounced due to the fact I was given the wrong account number from an old account that was that was closed.I give them 1 star because I have to. The customer service agent said that my experience would help them to better train their employees.This is basic stuff, you don’t give your customer a closed account number.

Literally one of the worst credit unions I have been through! Can’t even pay my loan with another debit card! It makes you link a bank then that didn’t even work and I was late on a payment. Very unprofessional never get any real answer.

Horrible service and no compassion! They boast about these empty awards for service as soon as the prompt picks up. Anyone who has to brag about their awards for a simple phone call is ridiculous. Read this PLEASE. My wife and I were forced to open this account by the company we purchased a car from. We didn’t think it would be a big deal because banks/CU are pretty easy to work with. We only use this account for my wife’s car loan. We have her second job’s paycheck go in there to pay the note. There is usually a little money for us to use for one off purchases. She used a few dollars at the same moment I used a few dollars. When we arrived home after a half hour she informed me that she used the card. I told her I did as well, and we ended up being a dollar and some change overdrawn. We immediately took money and deposited it into the University account. It was overdrawn for maybe two hours at most. They still charged me an overdraft fee! They wouldn’t take it away because we requested the same service when we were going through COVID hardships in July. If you are forced to get an account here, turn around. This place is worthless!

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. If changing banks wasn't such a hassle id be gone. You are better off finding a different bank.

bad service, uninterested staff & management, no customer orientation at all, no truthful communication: there definitely are better places for you and your assets. not recommended. (and, before you ask: no i did not need a loan or whatever - it just was about streamlining accounts.)

Is it possible to provide a 0 star rating? If so, I would apply it to University Federal credit Union. This is the absolute worst credit union on the planet Earth (perhaps the universe). Absolutely no customer service to talk about. Unbelievably heartless and arrogant group of people. I'm beside myself on the level of insanity this credit union exhibited over a simple oversight. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. No matter how reasonable and prudent you attempt to be while working out a issue. You quickly learn to expect nothing but heartless and cruel responses. Words don't do it justice. I hope no ever finds themselves at the end of the barrel with University Federal credit Union. I do not recommend this credit union to anyone. I regret having ever done business with this organization.
