It's a great place to stay with great conditioning, great water, and no noisy neighbors. The manager is a great guy and is really understanding. It's very affordable for what you get. The hot tub doesn't work currently but they are working on it.

What a place. It's right on main and it has comfy simple necessities. I love it here with the great amenities in the apartments of the hot tub and fireplace and the amazing string lights that hang over I enjoy going outside and looking at them every once and awhile. The maintenance has ALWAYS been top of the class and right on it if I needed anything. Very clean and nice location near the University and main street foods and events. Honestly one of the most convenient places to be if you're looking for an awesome cute place. The owners have always been super nice and understanding people. The only down is that they don't have ovens but my little toaster has never caused any mishaps.

Nice place if you're looking for a cheap hotel that you won't be spending a ton of time in. It's good for people traveling to the Shakespeare festival at SUU but it isn't particularly fancy and they no longer have a pool. They have a hot tub and good breakfast and quaint rooms, though!

I’ve stayed here a few times. The first time I stayed here was with my mom right before I graduated, once after graduation, and recently when I was in town for a friends wedding. The first time we stayed there everything was amazing. The beds were very comfortable, I loved the pillows, and the AC was awesome! I really like staying here! The second time we stayed there we had some issues with housekeeping, they hung up soaking wet towels and re-folded them as if they weren’t wet, and never took out our trash. I called the front desk and ask them to come fix it and at least take out our trash and they said they would send someone. However no one ever came when I called again of the new lady at the desk said that it was too late for housekeeping to do anything and we would have to wait until tomorrow. I walked over to the hotel next-door( El Rey) to get towels and they apologized. I really liked this place and everyone was very friendly so I decided not to write my review until after the last time I stayed there hoping it would be better. The first night we got there our bed felt like there were crumbs on the sheets, so the next day we asked for sheets to be changed and when we got into bed they were black streaks on our sheets. We called the front desk and a guy came with sheets however they were the wrong size but eventually he found the right ones and it was fixed. At check out I brought up the fact that we had a few problems with housekeeping and received $15 off which was nice! Breakfast here is light but good and the coffee is nice and strong! The three times I’ve been they have biscuits and gravy as well as several toast options and waffles. Over all, I do really like this place. The beds and pillows are great but I feel like maybe they try to cut a few corners. It’s worth a stay if you want somewhere you know will have a good bed!

Nice staff, and a really good location for the Utah Shakespeare festival. We even had a fridge, small freezer, and microwave, none of which we expected. The only negative thing was that our door didn't shut fully when you just let it shut on it's own (you had to give it a good push), and that caused us to leave our hotel room with a slightly open door for several hours without us knowing. We're lucky someone didn't steal any of our stuff--so just make sure to close your doors!

This is the second year in a row I've stayed in this hotel for the Shakespeare Festival and I see no reason to break with the tradition. Nice clean rooms, helpful and friendly staff, good basic self serve breakfast. Can't be beat in proximity to the festival theatres as well as several very good restaurants and a local winery.

The outside may not look the prettiest but the rooms are very nice and clean. Comfortable beds with strong air conditioning. Entertainment on TV has a lot of variety. Perfect for our overnight stay.

My wife and I decided to attend a few plays at the Shakespearean festival. We stayed two nights at Stratford and were happy with the cleanliness and comfort of the 2nd floor room we had. The location is excellent for the plays. Just a quick walk down the street to attend. We also wandered through the downtown area and spent a few $. Overall, we had a really fun experience in Cedar City and the Stratford was a good part of that.

Simple little hotel in the center of the city. We stay here every year when we go to the Shakespeare Festival. I love the location because we can walk to local restaurants and walk to our shows. It’s very clean and comfortable. The only critic I give is that the building and air needs to be updated, but it’s an older building and everything works great.Small note to the hotel owner. Please add a hand towel holder over the sink so we have a place to dry our hands. We will be back and stay here every year.

Comfortable bed with new renovation. Basic breakfast but all good. Good location few blocks away from the Chinese buffet and in the central of the old down town area where close to everything.

The service was great. We were traveling late and didn't get in until 1am and were ready to sleep. The office door was locked, but the managers were quick to answer the doorbell and got us checked in right away.I would say the room was slightly better than an average hotel. The thing we liked and noticed, was that the room including beds, towels, bathroom, etc...all seemed neat and clean compared to other hotels we've stayed at. We felt comfortable there. For the price and experience, I don't think you can beat it. We were happy with our stay.

Staff was polite and courteous both on the phone and in person. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was in line for the price range of the room. Overall value I feel was good for price paid and compared to local competition. Location was very convenient to Cedar Breaks National Park.

I stayed at the Stratford because of its proximity to the USF. The room was spacious, clean, and the mattresses were solid, but soft. They require your key card to access the building, thus providing added security. The traffic noise was slight, but running the fans took care of that. The hallways are wide and I noticed how loud it is when people talk in the hallways and I do hope they re-tar the parking lot someday. I inadvertently left a personal item and they had kept it at the front desk, which I was grateful for. I have always liked this hotel and the remodel has enhanced its appeal.

It has all the basic amenities: comfortable beds, AC, TV, table and chair, fridge and microwave, complimentary breakfast. There is no pool -- photos that show one are outdated -- but there is a hot tub and a grassy courtyard where the pool used to be, with a fire pit. The online description uses expressions like "straightforward", "informal", and "understated" to describe the rooms, but what it really means is, "barely decorated". Our room has only one wall hanging, which is a quote from Romeo and Juliet in "subway art" style. That doesn't affect the utility of the room, but it does have a rather bare-bones feel. The bathroom is also very basic and small, with a low ceiling and a greenish light, and the toilet makes a constant dripping sound. On the plus side, the shampoo and conditioner are Pantene. The service has been good so far; the room was very clean when we arrived, and the desk clerk brought us a toilet plunger at midnight when we needed one. What really makes this hotel great is the location: it's a short walk to many shops and restaurants, and, most importantly, the Shakespeare Festival.
