I had such a great experience with Abby at Sumo Fiber (Utah). We called in because our internet wasn’t working after a Utopia Fiber tech had replaced our modem, but our Netgear router still wouldn’t connect. We tried everything and nothing was showing up or working.
When I first spoke with Abby, she was honest and told me it looked like our router might be outdated and that we may need to replace it. We ended the call, but what really stood out was that she didn’t stop there. She reached out to her manager because she was still thinking about our issue and wanted to double-check.
She ended up calling us back and explained that our router was a unique model and not something they see often, but her manager had seen it before and suggested trying a specific button. That one simple step fixed everything instantly and saved us from having to buy a new router.
It really meant a lot that Abby took the extra time to ask questions, learn something new, and follow up with us after the call. She could have easily moved on, but instead she went above and beyond, got our internet working, and saved us money. Excellent customer service like that makes a huge difference.

We just signed a business contract with Sumo and Cody was awesome to work with! They helped us through a bit of a tricky setup process and now the speeds and reliability have been amazing. Would recommend.

I just recently signed up with Sumo Fibers 2.5 internet service and am very satisfied. Although initially I was unsatisfied and was misinformed by the field tech to purchase the wrong router that did not do the job for me. My internet speeds were slow. If it wasn't for David working in tech support I would have cancelled my service with Sumo. David guided me to enable a setting within my router and informed me of other routers to purchase that would fit my needs.

I spent 7 hours of my day attempting to start up services with Sumo today. There sales staff was not impressive to say the least. I called in to get (Commercial) internet services but they kept signing me up for Residential and Idaho Falls Fiber would not except that. I was told the commercial sales manager or Cody would call me back 3 different times over a 5 hour period. Once I spoke to Cody it was the same circle of residential and commercial. In addition they somehow lost my electronic signatures on docu tech. So there goes my personal i flr.ation floating around. There sales team can't seem to work as a team and one hand can't speak to the other hand. Thank you Sumo I lost a couple of hundred today in clients I couldn't take while waiting for your calls and you filled my day with stress.

I work for a national teleco. Data transmission is my career and has been since 1999. Having fiber service through my local municipality, Sumo was one of my options I could choose from for my Carrier. I did my research before I picked. Sumo is about $10.00 more expensive per month. And every extra penny is worth it. Haven't had an outage since I signed up(10 months). Not a blip. Nothing. Don't deal with Congestion. Latency Is great. Nothing else I could ask for. Im not easy to please when it comes to data transmission. But their is nothing I can complain about. Period. A rock solid provider. Great job Sumo.6 gold 🌟

We’ve been using SumoFiber for our business internet, and honestly, it’s been great. The setup was quick and painless! Their team showed up on time, got everything installed fast, and we were up and running with zero issues.
The connection is super reliable. The switch from cable to fiber has been a game changer. I’ve been using SumoFiber for several months now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made for my home and work connectivity. From day one, the setup process was smooth and fast — the technician was punctual, professional, and got everything running perfectly in no time.

I have had this service for almost a year and it has never worked. I actually have to turn of the WIFI and use my phone to even use the internet. I have worked with their customer service and they seem to always want me to trouble shoot problems then come out. They came out once for a hundred dollar charge (which they did not charge me, admittedly, because when they came they admitted it wasn't working.) Because I signed a contract, I have been stuck paying, but the year is almost up and I can try a provider that makes sure their product works and cares more.
Edit: In the response to this email, they have stated I did not have a contract. I did indeed think I had one, so I could have left earlier. But I did want this review to be accurate, so it seems I was in error on this point.
Second edit: Leaving them was also a bit frustrating. While their service did not work, they took a stance that I still had to pay for two of the last three months we were trying to get it to work. They also took a stance that I needed to troubleshoot some things and then call them back. If it hasn't been working for a year, that should not even be something you would ask me to do. It is your product, not mine. overall, this is not a service oriented company.

Had a few significant issues that left me feeling quite frustrated. I did send complaints to sumo and one of the owners reached out and worked out a fair solution.
