We wanted to switch our cats and dogs to a raw diet. We soon found that an all-raw diet was too expensive for six pets and settled on feeding part-raw.We tried 4 different brands, and Steve's came out on top. We considered the quality of ingredients, consistency, pets' preferences, and ease of use. The cost of all we tried was in the same ballpark.Our cats all love the fowl flavors. One of our dogs is pretty particular about having beef and needs added flavor to eat the rest. Some beef or chicken broth does the trick. Our other dog loves every brand and flavor of raw we tried, which is very interesting since she can be picky with kibble.The nugget form makes Steve's easy to use. The natural supplements are what really put Steve's on top for me. With the cats, consistency has been a big factor in them eating the food. Steve's has the soft and loose consistency they like.We have not tried the pork, as I'm not fond of feeding anything pork, but there's enough other variety in the products to make all of our pets happy.

Amazing company with a quality product and fast shipping! Anytime I have had to interact with customer service (Madi) she has been knowledgeable and super helpful. I am moving this week and wanted to ensure my shipment arrived before the move. Madi checked with the warehouse and they got my order out that same day AND it will be here today! Incredible service! They truly care about you and your pets!Also the quality of this product is chefs kiss! You will not be disappointed when you see the ingredient list. Customer for life here!

Initially frozen food was great switched to freeze dried and everything went down the drain. This unopened bag says net weight 1.25lbs/20 ozs. I weight the bag and gross weight which included the weight of the bag is 15.5 ozs.... WHAT. I brought it up to them via chat and they didn't respond to that part of my questions. The other issue I had was my bank was deducted for 4 bags of food , 7 days later they barely shipped out my order. I opened the box and there were only 3 bags of food. WOW

Excellent shipping! Arrived fast and properly packed with dry-ice, all the raw food was still very frozen when it arrived. However, my pups (Shepsky and Jindo-mix) have been on a raw diet for over a year and they won't eat this food. We tried Chicken, Turkey, and Beef... they won't eat any of it.

This company‘s customer service is terrible. They never answer the phone and when emailing them asking them to call you back they do not. Their website is not user-friendly. They will not let you have payments come out on specific days if you need to do so.

This is the best raw pet food around. I have been feeding it for about 5 years and have seen a huge difference in my pet's coats, weight and energy level. I use the freeze dried Steve's when we are on vacation as it is easier to store when we are away from home. Great products!

I have just them for years!!!! But this last website update has ruined the ease and purpose of using them. The food great quality. The people when u have an issue is like Amex or Ritz Carlton on customer experience. This new website has sent food to the wrong address, they corrected. The new voicemail does not allow you to leave a message just asks for an extension at which zero extensions work. The new website has been awful. Why you may ask well I am glad you did.Old orders are recreated.Multiple Billings.Tracking the shipment is no longer associated with the order #The phone system will not allow you to leave a message.I love the staff they are ? top-notch!!!!But the ease is gone I am very unhappy and I still have an order floating out there since the 24th of August.

I’ve been using Steve’s for a while now for my 3 dogs. I believe a balance raw diet is key to their longevity and health. Anytime I call the customer service is great! It’s appreciated.

Great quality food that our dog has loved for years. Our dog is a large breed and now 10 years old. His teeth look great, he has tons of energy, and shows no signs of slowing down. I think most of that can be attributed to following a raw food diet.

Our French Bulldog, Sarge, had suffered from diarrhea since we brought him home at 9 weeks. The vet ruled out everything serious and not serious. I tried numerous high-quality grain free kibble every 2 months or so, with no good results – the problem would always come back. He also became very picky and really didn’t like the kibble. When Sarge was a year old, I started researching dog foods and learned about raw dog food. At this point, I didn’t think we had anything to lose, so I did some additional research on raw brands. Steve’s was pretty high on the recommended lists, so I felt it was worth a try. It was a great decision! Sarge has had no diarrhea since we started feeding Steve’s. We give him a variety, changing the meat every meal between beef, pork, turducken, and chicken.

We’ve been using this company for our raw pet food needs for over 4 years now (as a recommendation from a Holistic Vet). Overall we like the food options available and it is definitely convenient having it delivered. The quality of food seems good and our dog has been quite healthy. He is 10 years old and has been eating raw since he was 10 months old. Here is an explanation of the 3 star rating. In the past year we’ve had multiple frustrations w this company. It started by them recurrently being out of goats milk (without warning). It wouldn’t be in the shipment and then we’d find out they were out of it. They’d either have to issue a credit or send a second shipment at a later time. Second shipment is great, but what a waste of resources. We had an incident several months ago where our credit card on file got denied for some reason. However, we were never alerted to this, so the food just never shipped. I had to call to find out why we never got it. We live in a rural area and being without food for our dog is a big deal and a hassle to travel to find quality food to supplement. Another incident that just happened last month was we were expecting our normal delivery and it never came. I looked on their website and it said it had shipped, but there was no tracking number. I called, but it was after hours so I left a voice message for someone to call me back. I also sent an email for good measure. The next morning I did not receive a call back or a reply to my email. I had to call back again in the afternoon and finally got a hold of someone (and they never mentioned receiving my call or email the evening before). Customer service said for some reason the order never actually went out and she did not know why (and this time it had nothing to do w a credit card issue...the problem was w their system). The downside is they cannot do an emergency shipment of our regular order, we had to wait several days for the order to go out. Again, extremely inconvenient when living in an area where finding quality raw food is not readily available. In addition, we just received this months order a few days ago. It arrived w no packing material on top and one of the bags was literally ripped wide open...food all over the bottom of the container. We have our shipment sent to a relative who lives in the same town because they can bring the box inside where it’s cool. Where we live, the food would get delivered outside and sit in the hot sun until we got home from work. Because we have it delivered to a relative, sometimes we don’t open the box for 24 hours. The companies policy is that you must report any shipment issues within 24 hours in order for them to take responsibility. Because we went over the 24 hours, there was no use in us reporting it. So in all, while there are aspects of this company I like, in the past year their quality control has gone downhill in our experience. I truly hope they get it together, otherwise we will be looking for a new company to get our pet food. I would also like to make a suggestion to the company: please find newer, sustainable methods of packaging your products. In an age where our environmental footprint is so important, it would be amazing to not have all these styrofoam coolers stacking up that end up in the landfill. I know there are now containers made from mushrooms and other materials that can be composted. I would totally support a company that had green initiatives for a better environment!

My dog loves this food, and it keeps him in great health. We always get comments about his beautiful coat. I've found the company very responsive when I've had changes or special needs. Very pleased.
