I live up in Davis County. When shopping for our long awaited grand piano, we looked at all the shops between here and Baldassin. The oldest least expensive used piano at Baldassin was nicer sounding and better tuned. Than the best of what we looked at anywhere else. Besides that they had a great range from affordable quality new all the way up to the impressive Fazioli. I could not be happier with our experience, or the service they provided helping us locate the perfect piano for us.

Closed for Christmas. Unfortunately, that was the day I chose to visit while passing through. I may go back. That place looks nice.

About 1 1/2 years ago, as a treat for my 60th birthday, my husband took me to Baldassin’s to have fun trying out their pianos, which are the finest in the world. Mark made us feel so welcome, even though he knew their pianos were out of our budget. Playing a Fazioli concert grand was amazing! About 8 months later, browsing the KSL Classifieds in my never ending search for a grand that I could afford, I saw that Baldassin’s had a used 6’4” Petrof in stock for less than I could have hoped for! I mentioned it to my husband, and we agreed to go the following Saturday to have a look. We live in southern Utah County, and that Saturday a semi jackknifed and closed I-15 in both directions. After waiting several hours I asked my husband if we could go the long way around! So we headed out through Santaquin, Genola, Goshen, around Utah Lake, through Saratoga Springs, and got back on the freeway in north Lehi. By the time we reached Baldassin’s we’d been on the road 2 1/2 hours. And worth the trip; that Petrof was the perfect piano for me. The price was low because of some sun fading, but when Rick Baldassin came out to show me the finer points, he told me I’d never find a better piano in that price range. My husband and I discussed it on the way home - going up over Point of the Mountain from Draper to Highland and getting back on the freeway in Pleasant Grove because it was still closed - and we agreed to get it. And I cried, because I’d been wanting a grand for 45 years. When it was delivered in early December I couldn’t play it well because I needed wrist surgery in January. After the surgery, their awesome tuner Gavin came and not only tuned it but gave it a thorough cleaning, charging less than the previous tuners who’d worked on my old upright. Now with COVID-19 on the rampage, what a blessing it’s been to have my beautiful piano to practice! Many thanks to everyone at Baldassin’s for their excellent service.

Searched all over for a piano that was just right for the family and found it here, thanks to the help of Mark Hoffman. He was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. He didn't lay on any pressure and made me feel very comfortable and taken care of despite me failing to set an appointment to come in. It is now my life goal to buy that beautiful Fazioli from him someday.

I am in the market for a new grand piano, and at the suggestion of a friend, who is also a highly respected member of the Piano Technicians Guild, I decided to take the afternoon off from work and pay a visit to Baldassin Pianos in Draper. They did not disappoint.

The sales guy was very friendly even though we weren't looking to buy the $200,000 Faziloi. It would've been nice if they had some older used pianos for regular people to buy. The cool part was my bf playing a piano the same price as a Lamborghini Urus

Mr. and Ms. Baldassin are very informative and helpful. Utahans are lucky to have so many choices for piano buying.

They carry hand-made Schimmel pianos from Europe among others. These pianos have an incredible sound. It was almost as if the piano came alive under the fingers of our daughter, and you could see its character like a living being. She played Bostons and Steinways in Salt Lake, but she just lit up playing this 6'1" Wilhelm Schimmel. It was as if we were watching her fall in love. I'd recommend you at least try them and hear what you think.
