The places are built beautifully. Unfortunately I was not able to get a loan approval and was told that I can get my holding fee back if things did not work out. It's almost a year and have not recieved my 1506.00 back. I've sent numerous emails and no response from the individual over the reimbursements. Wish I had a more honest individual to work with.3/22/2024: email finally explaining why i will not get my 1506.00 back. I believe this company Intentionlly waied months to respond about my holding fee so it could pass the time period of where i could recieve reimbursement. Confirmed dishonest handling of customers. Will not pursue this home builder in the future when things are better.

What a pleasure it is to have this opportunity to honor a hard-working employee of Edge Homes. His name is David Pratt. He is a very Knowledgeable hard-working young man. He treated my husband and I as if our home needs were important to him and immediately went to work. We hope you all get the opportunity to.meet him.

I have not moved into my new home yet, but I feel that it is deserving to leave a review based on the fact that I am being charged a very high amount for HOA fees at closing. $3,500 worth of transfer, assessment, and setup fees. I am not sure why I am paying $2,350 for a transfer fee when the home is new and there is no transfer? I also do not know why I am paying $1,000 for an assessment fee? The frustrating part about this is, I didn't get any quotes or have any ideas of these charges until my earnest money was hard. If you are in the process of buying from Edge, I would make sure you get estimates of these fees and put it in your offer that you won't pay more than your desired amount. It feels very shady/predatory to be charged as much as I am after the earnest money has gone hard.

Overall Edge has been a good experience. As far as budget homes go they seem to be mid to high tier. We haven't had any crazy issues so far but some of the things I've noticed have been annoying to me personally. Not sure if everyone else would catch them but we have a door an inch out of plumb, we have some baseboards that follow the wall but look like snakes, and some other small things.I also feel like the cabinets are super cheap. The lap joints they use with the fake wood don't seem sturdy and they have a ton of metal hardware to increase the structural integrity. I worry that I am going to have to replace the entire kitchen set up within 3-5 years.Other than those things though I have been pretty pleased. It wasn't a custom build so I am not trying to be too uptight but there are some things I feel like for the home we got and the price we paid they could have done better.

David Pratt (I think that's his last name?) with warranty issues has been great to work with! Very prompt, nice and follows up on everything!

Really impressed by the service I’ve received. Not everything about the house or structure itself has been perfect but feel like Edge hires the right people and provides them with the resources to make the situation right.

Partners in crime with a predatory towing company. Both companies pass the blame to the other with the illegal, predatory towing practice. The vehicle was parked in an area that did not have red paint on the curb, just like the opposite side of the road, the signage on the opposite side of the road says No Parking with an arrow pointing to the South, the vehicle was parked to the North of the sign. Other areas that do not allow parking have the red painted curb and signage. The answer that the HOA manager gave me when I asked why they only start towing at midnight was ~"The HOA wants to be very aggressive with towing." I would look elsewhere if I were looking for a home.RESPONSE TO EDGEHOMESYou hired them. You, the HOA and the towing company all just point the finger at the others. The towing company says it's the HOA's policies, the HOA says it's you, and you just throw the hot potato. I take ownership of my stuff, somebody please stand up and quit just throwing up a meaningless, cut and paste response that no one can reply to.

They won't give HOA control over to the residents. The HOA management makes restricting rules without any input from the community. It's basically taxation without representation.

Totally regretted build our home with them. They handed our HOA to FCS and FCS has been harassing our community for unreasonable rules. We don’t even have control over our property.

Update: I’m blown away at edges’s response. Clark and Steve were very understanding and sent people to help resolve issues. One thing I should mention about edge is their customer service and warranty departments are always very responsive. You hear about builders ghosting the home owners after the sale. Edge is the complete opposite of that. So that is a big plus. We've lived in our Edge Home for just over 5 years. We've had several major issues come up with this home. I really regret building with them. They cut a lot of corners. The shower wasn't installed properly and now we have mold behind our marble slabs. They missed seismic straps on a beam in our basement. Luckily a contractor caught it and we had to have Edge come out and install those 3 years after moving in. I'm really disappointed in the inspector as well. He even noted it on the beam but said we were cleared to move in. It makes me worried about what else they might've missed. All of our trades work is really shoddy and rushed. They missed roughing in a drain that we paid for in the basement. I had to fight to get our money back for that. There is something is shady going on with this company. I would avoid like the plague.

We live in Reno and bought with Edge in August 2022. We have been trying to sell our house here in Reno, but as everyone knows interest rates are high and no one is buying. Our house in Utah was built and we put up $5,000 earnest money even though we had a VA zero down loan that was approved. The soonest date we could close was 8/10/2023 because my husband had to show 2 years of self-employment income, even though he has a pension. Yesterday9/6/2023 Johnny from EdgeHomes called us and stated he was canceling our contract. We were NOT given a deadline on closing and they knew our situation. We were told our contract was canceled, not even given a notice. He went above our heads, called our realtor here in Reno, confirmed our house here had no interest, and then called us to notify us our contract with Edge was canceled. When I texted him this morning requesting our earnest money be returned to us he said Edge was keeping it for "liquidated damages". DO NOT BUY WITH EdgeHomes!!!Add to your postServices: General construction

Me and my boyfriend went over to his brother and sister-in-laws home and they bought in December we are really happy for them. Unfortunately everyone noticed right away that there was problems with the flooring…. At some point edge homes came out saying they would be fixing the ugly & damaged floor online they stated all would be resolved on their end but when my boyfriends brother and sister-in-law were approached to fix the error they wanted them to pay thousands of dollars for a mistake they couldn’t have prevented. while the home was being built they were promised different flooring & the company refused to take accountability for the mistake. Unfortunately this is why me and my boyfriend won’t be purchasing our home with edge homes due to the lack of responsibility, acoustically, and dishonesty. Hopefully this can help others who have gone though the same, as I know they aren’t the only ones who experienced this….Service: Flooring
