I had an excruciating migraine while I was checking out, and the cashier approached me with a scripted line about a 10% discount. I immediately said, “I’m not interested,” because my head hurt and I didn’t want to talk or listen to anything extra. She completely ignored that and continued talking over me. I repeated “I’m not interested” multiple times, and she still kept going.
What made the situation worse is that she was training a new employee at the time — yet she wasn’t demonstrating even the basic customer awareness or respect required for the job. Instead, she told the trainee, “You have to say it no matter what,” while ignoring a customer who clearly declined multiple times. That is not an example of good customer service, and it sets the wrong standard for new staff.
I understand stores require employees to mention promotions, but there needs to be common sense and awareness. If a customer clearly declines, the employee should stop. Continuing to talk over someone — especially when they express discomfort — is unprofessional and inconsiderate.
This Five Below location has consistently been the worst in Utah. It’s always messy, items are missing, and customer service is poor. Today’s experience just confirmed it again.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously, especially regarding how new employees are being trained.

I was really disappointed with my visit to Five Below. The sale signs were completely misleading—items that were supposed to be on sale were either full price or not discounted at all. On top of that, the store was a complete mess. Shelves were disorganized, products were scattered everywhere, and it was hard to find anything. I wasn’t even greeted at the door, which made the experience feel cold right from the start. To make matters worse, the employees gave attitude and acted like me asking a question was a huge burden to them. Definitely not the shopping experience I expected.

I did the black Friday deal and it said you can keep as much squish mallows you could fit in a tote but after I was stuffing the bag full a worker came up to me and said you only have ten. Then I went back to get stuff for my Christmas tree later and other people had like 15-20 and I have to get ride of some because they said only 10. So I am very upset about this.

I love shopping here for things I need (sometimes) but mostly to wander around and shop for things I don’t need!

I stopped by the Five Below in Draper while walking in the area, just to browse and pick up a few items. Unfortunately, the customer service was disappointing. The staff didn’t greet me upon entering and seemed annoyed when I asked a question while using the self-checkout.
As someone visiting from out of town, I wasn’t aware there was a charge for bags—and while I understand that may be local policy, it still felt off. When you’re making purchases, you don’t expect to be nickel-and-dimed for basic things like a shopping bag.
Between the lack of customer engagement and the extra charges, the experience felt more frustrating than fun. These types of stores are starting to feel like more of a rip-off than a value.

Walked in expecting a dollar store, maybe a $5 store tops. Instead, I was greeted by $10, $15, and $25 signs on some of the most random clearance-aisle finds I’ve ever seen. About 90% of the items were way overpriced, which makes you wonder if this is a Draper-only experiment or their actual financial strategy. Either way, it’s like a dollar store that joined a country club, fun to peek at once, but I can’t see this model surviving long.

Good, 2 out of the 5 things we bought broke quickly, but it was a fun place to shop with kids.
There is only self checkout, so that can be tough with littles, but we made it work.

This store is quite clean & organized. The toys are affordable, but many of them are not well made so be selective. I love the books & art supplies. I don't love getting charged for shopping bags but it just makes me want to purchase what I can hold in my hands so it's all good. I really don't appreciate that so much candy is at toddler level 🙃. Overall I like it & shop here on occasion.

Amazing place for candy or slime or any little toys and stuff. The staff will help with anything they can and will always help you with checkout if you need it. I love it here, and I come at least 10 times a month. But please bring back the pokemon cards!!!
