This is the worst warranty I’ve ever had. They don’t covered most of the things you need fixed and almost no one wants to deal with them and on top of that if you want to cancel the warranty they don’t give you a refund for the time you have left after you cancel the warranty. It’s not worth getting automotive warranty

I was encouraged to buy a service contract from Gold Standard when I bought an Audi for my daughter in July 2023. Little did I know that I would need to use it as soon as October. However, I was never mailed or handed a brochure or booklet that outlined the coverage of the service contract that was purchased. In early October, the Audi had to be towed to an automotive repair shop in Bismarck, North Dakota because it would not drive. It was determined that the timing chain in the newly purchased vehicle had slipped and damaged a valve in the engine. Now enter Gold Standard. This company proceeded to tell the mechanic that they had to open the head and run diagnostics in excess of $800 to "prove" that the valve could not be repaired but then insisted that it did not Ask for this to be done and so it was NOT Covered under the contract. When it was determined that indeed an entirely new engine was required, the adjuster accused the mechanic of "price gouging" us and them with his pricing, which was Not the case. The days turned into 8 Long weeks with No resolution. Gold Standard accused us of turning down 2 engines they offered. However, one engine they offered had already been sold. (Can't have that one.) The second engine was the wrong size and horsepower (Lesser horsepower) than the engine needing replaced. After 8 weeks of "jumping through hoops", I told our mechanic to obtain the engine he had found that worked for our car so he could repair the car so it would be running again in time for my daughter to be able to drive home for the upcoming holidays. It is my assumption that Gold Standard should have had to cover the entire cost except for the deductible for the level I had purchased. However, I do not know this with certainty because I was Never given any details of the coverage for the $3800 service contract I purchased. For all I know, Gold Standard was making up the rules as they went along. Please do NOT purchase anything from Gold Standard. They are not transparent about what you are buying and will try to get out of paying for as much as possible.

Dennon really is a star player. Personable and professional. As far as Gold Standard goes, they did NOT fail me when I was in need of repair. The contract was honored, and they took the time to make sure I got every extra squeeze they could give me.

Every person I've talked to at Gold Standard is actually really nice, however they deny every claim that I have submitted that clearly fold under their coverage. Do NOT get any warranty from Gold standard. They are great at finding loop holes to prevent all coverage.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I did not want to believe this at first, but now I realize this company is a scam. I was provided a contract through my dealer on a 2013 Mercedes GL63 AMG and although it was not the top tier plan, when I tried to make a claim, they picked at every single component to make sure they could deny the claim. And these weren't major problems I had with the vehicle, it was normal wear and tear. I had a leak in one of the sway bars and they told me because a non covered part caused the problem, they wouldn't approve the claim. However, the dealership advised them that part wasn't the cause of the problem. I was willing to pay for the non covered part out of pocket but they denied it anway. And that wasn't the only issue. There were several more things that needed to be repaired, however they picked through every clause they could find to deny it. Even the dealership was stunned. They are the experts and knew (based on my contract they read) that certain things would be approved. They did not even bother submitting things they knew wouldn't be approved. I took care of those myself. But the components that needed to be replaced and were in the contract, Gold Standard made sure they didn't cover. And when you call in to question your claim and ask for detailed answers, the reps actually get an attitude. A REAL ATTITUDE. I couldn't believe it. The claims adjuster was nice, I can at least say that. That should be why they get 1 star. But I would NEVER recommend anyone go with this company. You can take my word for it or not but I PROMISE you'll be sorry and you'll regret it. Beware of these scam companies promising the world and finding loopholes to not pay out claims. But I guess they have to stay profitable some kind of way. Beware my fellow consumers!

This Warranty Company is trash!!! I put in a claim three weeks ago and they still haven’t sent an adjuster out to view my vehicle. I’ve called to escalate and all they do is defer the blame to the third party company they use to conduct inspections when the vehicle is out of state. The service department has made numerous calls to this company trying to get them to follow through with their obligation and nothing has happened. They don’t care about you let alone the fact that you are without a vehicle. Do yourself a favor…. DO NOT get in bed with this company. When you need them the most they won’t be there.

DO NOT USE THIS WARRANTY COMPANY. Do not recommend. They want you to pay all this money for their warranty but when it comes to fixing the vehicle they only wanna pay fair market price and not what the shop needs paid. Then expect you to either pay the remaining amount they won’t or go out and order the part to take to the shop that the shop won’t order because theirs no warranty on it. Then on top of it they can’t get a manager on the phone and do not care at all about the inconvenience it places on their customer to be without a vehicle.

My car has been in the shop since July 18th, 2023. It has been nothing but back and forth emails with the warranty company and the automotive shop that it is in. I have not had my car this whole time, and just don’t understand why the process of accepting or rejecting my claim is taking so long. I do not blame the automotive shop at all, they have been nothing but nice and updated me multiple times on the status of my car. I guess I am just confused as to why this process it taking so long. I understand that warranty companies have their own procedures to follow, but they also have to understand that these cars can be the only mode of transportation for some people and going without having a car for multiple weeks is challenging.

SCAM! Con artist. I bought extended warranty from them just over a year ago. I bought a McLaren MP4-12C from HBi Auto group and their manager assured me they were the best when it comes to warranty coverage. Well when my suspension went out and was taken to the dealership. I called and they told me that my name was in the system but either they or the dealership inputted the wrong vehicle information. I some how owned a 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo. They told me that I only had 72 hours to fix this issue upon purchase and that there’s nothing they can do besides refund my money 100%. I called the dealership that sold it to me and sure enough the finance manager sherry is no longer working there. The dealership called gold standard automotive to fix the contract which they gave me a new contract. Well when it came to filling them claim they DENIED my claim saying that the specific part that broke was not covered even though it says “SUSPENSION” on my claim! I called the dealership upset and they contacted their representative at gold standard and they attempted a second look saying that they would potentially cover it and there was some with the verbiage. After about another week they finally come to the conclusion that they still won’t cover it. Well $7994 was spent on a warranty that doesn’t warranty. They didn’t even bother covering the A/C which it also clearly states they cover. They’re con artist who will gladly take your money but when the bill comes they won’t pay. Complete 100% SCAM. I asked for a refund so I can use the money I paid to fix the car and they said they can only refund the remaining warranty coverage and it doesn’t come directly to me. It comes off your bank loan. RUN! CANCEL YOUR CONTRACT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THIS IS JUST A SCAM TO MAKE MONEY OFF YOU AND MAKE YOU PAY MORE MONTHLY. THIEFS AND CROOKS! Calling my attorney tomorrow! Reporting to the BBB as well! DO NOT BUY THIS for a used Honda, Ferrari or even mclaren. If I could give it 0 stars I would. - Richard Ryan Streep.
