Dr. Hammond is so very caring and amazing. I've been going to Lone Peak since 1998 when Dr. Way was my vet. She was awesome. They have been so kind, even outside the pet family. My daughter also took her pets there as an adult. I sure appreciate you a ton. Thank you. ?

After taking our pets there for over 15 years, there was a simple misunderstanding that was handled with kindness on our end, but boy were they quick to kick us out and tell us we were never to return. Since they are overbooked and understaffed they are eager to "86" patients over minor things. They were not willing to answer questions or help us work through the situation. They took the easy road and just permanently kicked us right out without even hearing our side of the story. After that, they would not send our pets' records over to the new vet. I even heard our new vet's staff discussing that Lone Peak vets were being difficult to work with and not transferring records over.

I drive across the valley because my pet responds so well the technicians and veterinarians. They have always treated my pets well and respected my concerns. Recently my dog had some breathing problems and appeared in distress. I called them and they walked me through my options and how to best treat my dog. They ended up monitoring him and doing tests we discussed, allowing me to make the best decision for my dog. They eased my concerns and helped my dog recover. I am so grateful for them.

I have been taking my dogs for years and they have been okay.I continued bringing my dogs longer than I should have because they were familiar with the location and they have their medical history but today changed that. I took my dog in for an urgent situation which would have only taken a few minutes to get under control. They weren't accommodating or sympathetic at all. I walked out with my dog, cried in my car and now it's time to find new care for my pups. They are also over priced.

Lone Peak Veterinary Hospital needs to change their website to reflect / indicate they are not accepting new clients. Each time we have reached out they say they are not taking new clients yet their website has no indication of this fact and actually indicates they want new business. Please change your website information to say "not accepting new patients at this time" so we don't waste time trying to contact / call you.

We have had a wonderful experience with Lone Peak Animal Hospital. The staff is considerate, compassionate, responsive, kind, knowledgeable, and professional. We moved to the area when my dog was 12 years old. The staff at Lone Peak helped us take care of her health needs as she aged. Every person has different priorities when it comes to healthcare for their pets. Some people want to explore every possibility to keep their pets alive including chemotherapy, and extensive operations. Other pet owners want to keep their pets healthy and comfortable but don't want to try more invasive and expensive interventions. Whenever we came to a decision point, the Lone Peak vets gave us all the options and asked us what kind of option of care felt best for us without judgment or pressure. The vets always listen to my priorities and values and supported them. Because of this, I deeply trust the staff at Lone Peak. We had to put our beloved Lucy down at 15 years of age, right before Christmas and all of the staff that we worked with throughout the process- the person who scheduled the appointment, the office worker who helped us back to the room and helped us settle our bill, the vet tech who walked us through the process, and the vet all treated us with compassion, dignity, and care. They made an incredibly sad and hard experience go as well as it could have gone. A week after her passing we received a bereavement card in the mail from the Lone Peak Animal Hospital. I was so touched that twenty staff members took the time to sign the card. I would highly recommend this vet office. With their kindness, compassion, and trustworthy practices, they have gained my loyalty.

Don't take your dog to Lone Peak Veterinary. Dr. Hammond is the worst - all she wants to do is put your dog down, and get her fee. No real diagnosis there. Very lazy vets, especially Dr. Hammond. Still trying to find a decent vet in Draper. If you do have an emergency go to Medvet Salt Lake City. Took my dog there for emergency allergy reaction on a Sunday. Now that is real caring for your dog service! Stay away from Dr. Hammond/Lone Peak Veterinary.

This was once the best veterinary hospital and staff anywhere. Dr Jodie Way and colleagues were so caring and kind. After 20 years of taking my pets there I called to see if I could get one of my cats in to see a vet on Saturday, she was in acute distress, listless, mewling, a sudden onset that just got worse. No concern whatsoever was shown when I called, we are "too busy and only have one vet here today, you can take your cat to an emergency clinic and said the name of one" - no phone number no compassion. After my 4th call to emergency vet clinics that could not take an emergency a kind tech at the last I called said they were also unable to take a patient and we're on "diversion". He asked symptoms - gave me the name of a veterinarian 21 miles away that he said will often take pets who are acutely ill. Since Dr Way and colleagues retired from practice Lone Peak is just another "mill", like so many here in the valley. I am so saddened to see what they built fall into this category.

I walked in at 8am to try and get in quickly and they had to reschedule for an hour and half later. I appreciated them scheduling it quickly. They were kind and the vet was very thoughtful and helped knowing I was sad for my dog. He had a sliver and then it got infected and they gave me some antibiotics for him.

I brought my dog there on Thursday, May 14 for a nail trim. While I waited for her, a tech came out and told me that my dog had what they described as a skin infection on her stomach and that they wanted to give her a shot to help with it, as well as prescribe some oral meds. I agreed that they could proceed. That night and the next day (Friday) my dog was very lethargic. Called the hospital and was told that was an expected reaction to the shot and not to worry. Later that same day the dog started to vomit and wouldn't eat any food. Called the hospital again and was told by the front desk person (after consulting with the doctor) that this was not unusual and to call back if it continued. The vomiting continued into the next day (Saturday) and when I called they were gone for the day. Could not reach an emergency vet so found one in Salt Lake City who could see my dog on Sunday morning. At about 5:30 am on Sunday I woke up and my dog was panting rapidly. I picked her up and wrapped her in a towel and within 60 seconds she had a seizure and then died in my arms. I know Lone Peak Veterinary Hospital knows that my dog died because the vet I took her body to on Monday for cremation called them before I got there to get more information on what had happened. My sister also left them a message saying she had recommended them to me and that she thought it terrible that they had not reached out to me to offer their condolences. I still haven't heard from them. I brought them a healthy dog for a nail trim and now my dog is dead. Go there at your own risk.

Lone Peak has started nickel and diming every single thing to pad their vet bills. I went in with my 2 cats for an annual exam and it cost me over 500 dollars. It was $100/ each for the exam which consisted of checking their heart rate and temperature. I live alone, so it is extremely difficult to cut my cat's claws, so I asked for help trimming their nails. I got charged $36 for nail trimming, but they didn't mention before I checked out that I was going to get charged. What's worse is they did a horrible job trimming their nails, now they are cracked, shredded, and snagging in the carpet. I want to be able to praise the vets, because they seem good at what they do, but this isn't the first time I have had a problem at this vet hospital, so I have mixed feelings. *FYI: NONE OF THE STAFF ARE WEARING MASKS AT THIS HOSPITAL
