Don't go to this H&R block or any for that matter. The customer service is really bad. You think that they would be knowledgeable about tax information but you can't trust them. I had a change in some things that happen to me and I thought going in person to see someone was going to be a good idea I don't know why I thought to give h&r block another chance. I should have just stayed with TurboTax who has never failed me and I should have just done their virtual assistant instead of going to h&r block. Not only did they keep me on hold for a very long time twice but they would tell me they would give me a call back and that never happened tax day is tomorrow and I still don't have answers and they just told me to wait until tomorrow to see what will happen to my account. That should not be the answer that your tax professional is telling you they should know exactly how to handle the situation you're in or have resources to be able to get you the answers that you need. They don't care about you if they did their level professionalism would be better. They wouldn't be putting you on hold for a long periods of time they wouldn't leave you hanging instead of giving you a call back I'm not saying I need to a call back same day but give me a call back if you promised me a call back. If you want to be potentially screwed by the IRS and have to pay fees up the wazoo then h&r block is the place to go. But if you want accountability and insurance that the things that you're doing are correct then go with TurboTax and speak with a virtual professional or anyone else really they also have the same guarantees that supposedly HR offers without all the added fees.

Is there a rating less than 1? The Draper Utah office was the most smug, unprofessional group of morons I've ever worked with. I gave them 6 weeks to do my 90-year-old mother's taxes. You can imagine that they are not that complicated. Thye proceed to lose the file, make me repeatedly call them for updates on its location, and finally just today (the day before filing) tell me that I need more paperwork And, they never offered one apology, not one, or an offer to make it right. These guys are boneheads. Don't go there because if you're audited, you'll likely go to jail!

I went into the office and a crazy lady started yelling at me and hitting the table because she couldn't access my account. Then she threw me out....I would avoid this local location and honestly HRBlock in general at all cost. Apparently they're system is all kinds of broken and the manager and customer support has no idea how to handle it like adults.

No stars earned . No customer service, no communication, no transparency. Please, make sure your employees talk to your customers. Brandon Major was a major disappointment to do business with.

I really shouldn't of looked at the reviews before coming here. I haven't heard anything from Stephanie Winkle about my taxes. She can't even email me back about my questions or for a simple update. I've always done my own taxes but this year I moved out of state so I didn't understand how to file for two different states. This is so frustrating. I've sent multiple emails asking for a response and I get nothing. Just called them and spoke to a way nicer lady on the phone and she looked up my account and turns out Stephanie Winkel NEVER filed an extension. NEVER did anything. Everything she asked for she didn't do anything with it. I am so frustrated. Will be contacting corporate. Horrible employee. I work In customer service also and this is ridiculous. Taxes aren't something to not take seriously.

The lady set me up with a person that does not come into the office (works from home), should have set my appointment with a person who is in the office. Steve was kind to help me and take my information and prepare my taxes.

NEVER AGAIN! Ratnavathi was The RUDEST and WORST experience in my life. Was interrupted WHOLE time. I couldn’t even explain anything she didn’t let me say a word. Waited for 20 min. WASTE OF TIME! Wow!

I had an appointment at 6 pm with someone and I waiting for an hour and a half for her but never saw her or heard back on the email I sent her. I waited an hour and half only to find out she went home sick. I never got a call or a reschedule email I just waited and waited. I tried to call but got transferred to the Midvale location where I was told that i didn't have an appointment at the Midvale location and it was not her problem and hung up on me. I finally got some help from Stephen who was nice enough to help me but I am still really upset i waited an hour and a half just to sit and get no help.

This location is HORRIBLE to do buisness with. First off, Brandon assisted me, I "thought" he was fast and efficient, boy was I wrong. A week or so goes by, I noticed that I never got a notification indicating that my tax return was accepted (by both state or federal). I called in and was weirdly routed over to another H&R block location where I was told that my tax return wasn't accepted because CLEARLY Brandon doesn't know how to effectively do his job. I clearly explained my tax filing status. What makes it worse, NO ONE even called me to get this corrected. If I was never told that y'all send a text verification of acceptance, I would've never known that my tax return had an issue. Terrible, considering I paid the tax filing fees UPFRONT. Save your money and find another company to do buisness with.
