I'm not one to write reviews but I think it's important that potential clients read my experience.I booked an appointment with Layers 'n Lashes based off their 5 star review so I like to think that this is an isolated incident, but when considering how I was spoke to on the phone (I wasn't polite either after a while) it makes me wonder if clients who have received poor service are being silenced with threats and bullying tactics.My appointment was at 11:30. When I arrived at 11:15 the door was locked. I called the receptionist and they suggested the tech likely ran to get lunch. Totally fine. I waited around and as 11:40 rolled around I was anxious to leave seeing how I didn't even receive a call or a text that she'd be late. I called the receptionist to cancel and she told me I could not cancel without still being charged. I was confused seeing how it was their fault and THEIR tech was late. She informed me that the tech was in an accident but was on her way. I assured her if the tech was in an accident it was going to take some time to finish paperwork to leave the scene and I just wanted to cancel but she refused to let me. The call became heated and I told her I was trying to leave town and needed them done ASAP so I just need to go find someone who can. She counter argued everything I said asking why I wouldn't just reschedule with them if I was going to go somewhere else. I responded by letting her know that I didn't want to come back after my experience. She was aggressive and told me that I was being 'full of excuses' and my 'excuses are ridiculous'. I told her it wasn't her business or not if I went somewhere else and got them done. She persisted and persisted and assured me that if I left I would still be charged.It was now 12pm, thirty minutes after my appointment time and the door was still locked, I became really heated and frustrated at the thought that I was going to be charged at the end of all this. This triggered her and she said 'Do you understand I have your card information? Do you understand I can charge your card right now if I want? Her threatening me with my card information was my last straw and I left.The conversation ended and I left and called my bank to block any charges from this company in the future. A step I knew I had to take before leaving a review otherwise I have complete confidence they would run my card after seeing this. I'm not one to typically get heated or leave a review but I'm in complete shock at the way they are willing to speak to their clients, not take accountability for late techs, and threaten the fact they have my card on file. I'm sure their service is great and that 99% of clients walk away happy, but this serves as a warning for the 1% that they make a mistake on and don't take accountability for.

I came here today for a set of lashes. The lashes are fine but Kelly was very unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable. She went on and on about caring less about Covid. I'm getting ready to have surgery and it made me very concerned. She also talked about her political views which also made me uncomfortable. I work hard. I was just doing something nice for myself. I didn't need to hear her racist views or hear her talk about how over Covid she is. After telling Kelly how I feel she told me I shouldn't leave my house. Very unprofessional

The best place to get your lashes done! I have been searching for a Nicole FOREVER and thrilled I found her. Scheduling is SO convenient and she is professional and efficient. Perfect location and my lashes have never looked or felt better. I love lash days!!!!

This was the fourth time I have had Nicole do my lashes, and this was the fourth time she was running late. A complete disregard and lack of respect for anyone's time. I booked a 9am appt since I needed to be to work by 10. She showed up ten minutes late, and as I was sitting there waiting for her- she walked right by me without a hello or good morning. Or an "I'm so sorry for running late." Once I walked in, she asked if she had done my lashes before and I was like, yes- 4 times. I paid full price for maybe 30 out of my 45 minute. probably less than that because she was texting while she was doing my lashes. There were a few times where I was like hmmm are we done? Is she getting more lashes? Finally I just got up to see her texting on her phone. The most unprofessional "lash artist" I have ever met. The sheet was dirty, my lashes look awful, and the incessant humming to songs so close to my face while she does my lashes is beyond annoying. I made an apt, and was there by 8:50. We didn't start until 9:12. So why on earth would I be charged the full appt? I will never be going back. Ever. Would love my money back since I have to go so elsewhere to get them fixed.
