I went in to pick up an order this morning and I stood around for 10 min looking for someone to help me. Couldn't find anyone so I began to walk around the store to see if they were busy doing something. I came across an older lady who was feeding the reptiles and I asked her for some help in picking up my order. She proceeded to stare at me for 10 seconds not saying anything, then said "well I'm working back here" so I asked if she wasn't able to help me and she said she was busy. So I asked if she worked there and she said "yes obviously I do" which prompted me to ask then why can't she help me since she was the only person in there. She told me to go find the manager who is probably in the office to help me!! Are you kidding me!? Great customer service is all I said as I walked to find someone else. Finally came across another young lady and she helped me out right away. She was very nice and I would have given only 1 Star if not for her. But you can't have customer service like that. Unbelievable how that lady responded to me and her EXTREME lack of professionalism. Won't be returning.

This pertains to the grooming department only. We have used the grooming department several times, in fact this incident occurred on our "free" bath/grooming due to it being our eight appointment. We made an appointment for 11:00 Friday. They text at 0810 stating that we'd needed to reschedule bc our groomer didn't show up. We rescheduled online for Wednesday at 1:00. At 1:50 Friday they text saying they can get Annie in at noon Saturday, we accept the appointment and cancel the Wednesday appointment. I get called into the hospital for an emergency and my wife takes Annie and arrives 10 minutes late. By this time, Sarah, the "manager" texts me that we are late. My wife states that Sarah was extremely rude about her being late, quoted a 15 minute late policy (it was only 10 minutes) and that she had to call her babysitter to see if she could stay late bc we were 10 minutes late getting there. She said she wouldn't have time and they would have to leave bc someone called in today too. . She then said she would groom Annie. How unprofessional! It's not your customers fault that your staff is so undependable and to talk this way to them. Sarah was a total bitch to my wife. Did we get this treatment bc it was our free grooming?? The real kicker to this is Annie looks ridiculous and was butchered. Annie is an Aussie than we have her cut down for the hot summer. Sarah "the Manager" basically shaved Annie's head. Being mad at us is bad enough but to take it out on our 12 year old dog is pathetic. IF we use this Petco groomer again, we will stipulate that Serene or Mark take care of our 5 dogs bc they have been very professional and sweet to our pups. Shame on you Sarah and enjoy your zero tip!

my pup has been having accidents in the house. she hasn't had an accident in a months & she has been acting very anxious still. i have no idea what happened of how she was treated by the workers when she was suppose to be getting groomed but by her behavior it was negative & i am so beyond pissed. i was told that i would hear back from petco either yesterday or today & i haven't heard a word back.

Pet store # 5 for the weekend. My daughter's beta didn't make it through the weekend and she wanted a new friend. Here is where she found her new friend. They had one of the largest selections of beta fish. And the selection of "other" fish was pretty impressive. The young man working in the fish section was very knowledgeable and very patient with my daughter and her line up of potential new fish. When my daughter final found "the one" he also helped select tears and food for her buddy. The other employees we encountered we very helpful and friendly. Over all a pleasant experience.

Zoie did an AMAZING job with Milo! we had never seen her before but she made Milo feel welcomed and he left SOOO fluffy and clean. Thank you zoie!!!

I live in Saratoga Springs and this is the closest store to me till the one here opens. Customer service is horrible, no matter how nice you are or go there it seems like no one wants to help you. I don't think I have seen one person smile at this store.

To be five stars are 100% because of Sophia. I come to this location every week to grab crickets for our leopard gecko, Bella, and Sophia goes above & beyond to be happy and helpful. On occasion, I won't have the pleasure of working with her when I stop by, and when that's the case my experience is typically a three-star or less. Sophia should get a raise. She should be giving trainings.

I give this rating a three because I don't know what the rest is like. It seems well stocked with lots of options. However, they miss the last two stars because I was really disappointed in their Aquarium selection, specifically the fish. Literally every single tank was mislabeled with the fish that were inside. None of the labels were even close! The only reason I knew what they were was because I've done my research and have been learning over the last couple months. Their fish look healthy enough, though I feel bad for them. It's hard to buy a fish when they're mislabeled and no one was at the station to even answer questions. I understand if they're low staffed. But they didn't need two people at the cash register. One associate was playing on their phone and totally could've been in the aquarium section. I also would have appreciated needed tank sizes for each fish. Their labels had lifespan, type, and if they're a community fish or more aggressive. But nothing on tank sizes. I wouldn't necessarily recommend them for your fish needs. Yes, those fish need homes. But be prepared to go looking for someone to answer questions or assist you.

I recently purchased a male beta fish from a different Petco location in Utah County area. Most Utah county locations close at 8 PM, but Salt Lake County Petcos are open until nine (depending on the area). I walked into the store about 30 minutes before close because the Orem location was not open when I had went so I drove to draper. I was returning a my betta fishy's heater that did not work out for my tank. I approached Bailee and she was so kind and helpful giving me store credit for my return. Then I got help from another Petco associate for finding the proper fish heater and she was kind to me as well. It was just refreshing to have workers be kind to me even though I was asking questions right before the store was going to close. I ended up purchasing a different fish tank while being there because the lady in the fish dep. was so kind by helping pick a new heater for my fishy. Once I checked out, Bailee price matched all my item with Petco online products and made sure I was taken care of. If you are going to go anywhere for a pet store I would HIGHLY recommend coming this Petco located in Draper. They will take care of all your animal needs making sure you get the right deals! This was our first time taking koda. I didn't ask for a shorkie haircut, just a short one for everything to grow back even and they did a great job. They brushed his teeth and cut his nails too. He was quite handsome. They groomers were all so nice and attentive to koda! That meant the most to me.

Selection was fine. I went to get goldfish, but the lady selling it to me was quite abrasive. Only wanted a fish, got a huge lecture, made me quite uncomfortable. But I still got the fish so whatever.

After having an extremely awful experience with the sugar house location, I just have to put down a good review for the draper location. Serious animal abuse in other locations especially towards fish but I believe the Draper location has someone in management who is in the aquarium hobby. Tanks are always clean, never seen any dead fish, fish that are supposed to be colorful actually are, never seen diseased fish. They carry some better quality products as well, such as Waterbox aquariums. I've seen a few different clear mini sizes but at this location ONLY. Top quality in terms of actual glass tanks. The bottled products are always clean and within the correct dates rather than expired or poorly stored and handled. Plants are in clear water with no signs of decay. Thank you Draper location for taking care of your animals.
