Food at the restaurant was cold and tasted terrible. We left upset that we had spent so much money on a horrible dinner, then we got back with our desserts that we ordered to go and they were also expensive and awful.

This place was awful! There were open gaps between where they had put in the air conditioning unit and the taped cardboard to close the window. (In at least two locations.) This probably explains the mice running across the floor. There were small rocks in one of the beds. Cupboard doors were broken off hinges and hanging sideways and the front door lock was broken. Such a beautiful area of Utah to have such a dumpy resort. Look elsewhere, other great options. Will NEVER stay here again and will tell everyone I know who comes here to stay anywhere else but here. HORRIBLE!

We ate at the Flaming Gorge Restaraunt this evening. We went with no reservation knowing if they could fit us in we would wait awhile. After the 45 minute wait, we were seated. After we were seated it was 10 minutes before a server came up and told us she would be right with us. 10 miuntes after that, she approached us and asked if we would like to move to the patio where it was quieter. We went to the patio and then placed our drink order and our meal order. After another 15 minutes our drinks showed up. We then continued to wait another 30 minutes for the food at which time we were told they lost the order and they were just starting to prepare our meal. We were asked at that point if they could give us our meal for half off or throw in desert for free. Being frustrated at the moment i didnt make a decision, She then returned after an additional 5 or so minutes with our meals informing us that they hadn't actually lost our order. We ate our meals and when we were finished there was no further mention of any sort of compensation that had been mentioned earlier. From start of the wait to when we left the restaurant took an hour and forty-five minutes. Not happy with this at all. I know they were busy, but if you can't handle the volume of customers because you are short staffed, don't fill tables that can't be properly served.

We rented the family suite on our way through. It was cute and clean, which was nice! But the bedrooms were so hot. The only AC was in the living area. There are no darkening blinds, so the sun comes in and starts baking you at about 6am. They also advertised jet ski rentals, but when we arrived, they said they did not. The Wi Fi was glitchy. The restaurant was ok. Our food was decent, but the coffee was very watered down. We asked the waitress for a different pot but were just brought more of the same. To call this a "resort" is overly generous and somewhat misleading. We were disappointed with the cost, considering the lack of amenities.

4.4 stars. This review is for the restaurant. The roast beef is delicious and the cobbler makes a great dessert. Service was timely and efficient. Of the eating options around, this is your best choice.

We just stopped at Flaming Gorge Resort Restaurant and the experience was awful. We were ordering food to go as the restaurant was closing and they asked us to go even when we were just waiting for our food. We felt once we arrived the servers and people at the store weren't friendly. Even the server was in the "wait to be seated" area just gave us one menu when there were 5 of us. This is the last time we are going to try to eat here, and I wouldn't recommend to anybody to be in this place where they don't take care of the customers.

We went to the restaurant for dinner. Made reservations the day before. They were ready to seat us right on time. As we ordered our food we got several comments, we are out of that. After ordering it took 20 minutes for our drinks to come. Two of the drinks the waitress said, they ran out of it. She walked off without offering any alternative. Ten minutes later she came back with the drinks. After being seated for 47 minutes she brought out some of the food. Half the food was cold especially the fries. We had to flag down the waitress twice because she failed to bring out all the orders. By the time we had received all our order we had been there an hour and five minutes. What could have been a great experience was missed by a waitress that seemed not to care about her job. No apologies given, no updates on progress.

This review is for the restaurant. We came up to see Santa and the Grinch. We put our name in knowing it was busy. The wait was 40-45 minutes. We were seated after about an hour. We ordered a Navajo taco, French dip, soup of the day, and Mac n cheese. After getting our order taken we waited for nearly an hour for our food. Out waitress never once came to check on us for that hour.

Review is for raft rentals and restaurant. We initially rented a two person kayak without a reservation, but it started to deflate as we were getting ready at the spillway. We gave them a call and they were apologetic and immediately brought us another raft. Thank you for that. As for the restaurant, the food was good and the service was excellent. We would dine here again. I got the grilled cheese and it was cheesy, with 3 different cheeses.

I've been staying here for many years while fishing the Green River with a large group of people. The rooms are very nicely updated, love the food in the restaurant, the shuttle service is excellent, and the staff in the fly shop, restaurant and at the front desk are especially friendly and efficient. I have used guides on numerous occasions and they have been excellent. Take time in the morning to enjoy the views and sunrise.

This review is for the river guides that we had during a fishing trip we took. If you are going to get a guide I suggest you ask for Craig Bullara he was one of two guides we had and was the nicest most professional and helpful guide you could ask for he gets 5 stars . However Mark McKinney is one of the worst guides I've ever taken a ride with he was confrontational from the moment we met not helpful and if you were trying to learn to fly fish or doing it for the first time you might as well as hand him the pole and go back to the resort for all the help he was. He gave orders, was impatient to first time learners and was just overall didn't feel like he was there to guide you unless you know just as much about fishing as he did. Anytime your line got tangle, which if you have never fly fished before is A LOT, he got angry and frustrated and talked to you like an idiot for doing that. He never let you hold the fish that you caught not even once even though that is half the fun when catching fish.

Excellent stay! We showed up in the middle of a snow storm and our initial accommodations didn’t have heat! Thankfully we were able to secure a room at the Flaming Gorge Resort and it was fantastic! The heat worked(!!!), the room was extremely clean and updated, and Jennifer at the front desk was wonderful. The pillows were soft, bed was comfortable, and the restaurant had a good selection of food. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you for the warm hospitality and 10/10 rooms!

The absolute most fun that we have had in a long time! My wife and I have been up to FGR 3 times, twice for the Independence Day weekend Car show and once for the Snow Rally event. The staff is always friendly to us and make us feel like we're part of the FGR family.

We stopped here out of necessity because of a terrible snow storm while traveling south in Utah on Hwy 191. No way we could make it to Vernal. We were so relieved to find Flaming Gorge Resort in the middle of nowhere. We had no reservation, but we were welcomed with outstanding customer service. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. The fireplace was a lovely inclusion. It was very affordable and so very quiet. The next morning, we ordered breakfast in the on-site restaurant. The staff was cheery, conversational, and helpful. Other guests delighted us with warm, pleasant conversation. We discovered Flaming Gorge Resort by accident, but we will return for an intentional vacation/visit in the future.
