“This MACU branch always delivers exceptional customer service for me. I've moved to a state without Mountain America branches but because of the quality of service and employees who work for this credit union, I will continue to bank with Mountain America. I had a situation where I needed some money transferred to another institution to pay down a credit card balance and Victoria in the Ephraim branch went far, far above her responsibility to me as a member to hand deliver a cashiers check for me. This exceptional level of commitment and service is extraordinary and these folks deserve all the credit in the world for the small town family type of environment they deliver. They are truly an amazing group of people.”

“The bank was organized on November 18, 1905. On December 18, 1905 it was officially registered by Sanpete County and a Utah State Charter was granted on December 30, 1905. The opening must have occurred after January 7, 1906 in the building now occupied by the Anderson Drug Store. On February 2, 1906 the question of a new building was raised. The work on this building started by obtaining the land from J.F. McCafferty and was completed in December 1907 at a cost of not more than $7,000.00. There was a ladies millinery and dress shop in the basement and the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Attorney Hansen were given office space upstairs. The Bank of Ephraim is now the home of Far West Bank.”

“I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to the wonderful lady Rachel at the Zions Bank in Ephraim. We were on a cross country RV road trip and needed a document notarized, and Rachel took care of us even though we were not a bank customer (yet). We are very grateful and we will definitely be a customer in the future once we relocate to the Southwest. I highly recommend this bank for their amazing customer service.”
