The bike shop is fraud. Returning my bike with the dropper post partly down/ adjusted the seat, resulted into breaking the inside mechanics when raising, they told me it was at the 'end of its life' and that I needed a new one. I did some research and called around, and that is false. The most a dropper post will need is a "rebuild service". I asked them to please take a look before we think about buying a brand new one. Then they spent a half a day trying to figure it out and told me he would give me a discount from the "hourly rate" which would have been $500. Then when I went to go get my bike, the dropper post was going up extremely slow, like they didn't even test it. Then they suggested again, "I should probably just buy a new one" and Lindsey (the store manager) told me it just needs to "break in a little bit". Then I took it to a different bike shop and they fixed it in a half hour for $25. All they needed to do was adjust the Air Valve. Then when I told them that. They got all offended and said they aren't working on my bike anymore. The guy was literally watching Youtube videos for hours trying to figure it out. Like I'm paying to train him. No wonder he tried to sell me a new one.My bike also was creaking really bad after they gave it back to me, and when i asked if they could maybe look at it, Lindsey said "sounds like you are just trying to find another problem". Very disgusting to accuse a customer of that. Because it wasn't true. I ended up chasing the creak myself and fixing it myself. And on my other bike I came in for a new chain. The girl chased me out of the store and told me I need to 'adjust my front and back derailleur'. I said "sure", it annoyed me because it seemed fine, and she told me that after looking at my bike for 30 seconds. But I took her word, and spent the extra $50. got on my bike and it couldn't even shift in the biggest ring. Again, took it to a real bike shop and they fixed it for $25. and it was good after that. From ordering the wrongs parts multiple times, getting scammed into extra services, getting offended when suggesting any refunds, like they are some small bike shop just trying to get by, to the poor, unfunctional service results. I'd give lower than one star if I could. Go somewhere else for bike services. ThanksGet Outlook for iOS

Attended a bike maintenance class with Gordy as our instructor. His teaching was exceptional, and I acquired valuable new skills. Gordy's dedication to addressing each participant's bike issues was impressive. It was definitely a worthwhile investment of both time and money!

I love this REI!! Super helpful and friendly staff that are genuinely passionate about the outdoors. The bike shop and bike REI crew members were so kind! They helped me get equipment for my Iceland Bikepacking trip. They boxed my bike quickly and did a better job than the companies my friends went to. Aesa (not sure if I spelled it correctly) was super kind about that and several other team members. They even included a short note in the box! I can’t stop by for a while to personally thank them so I’ll include some photos here!

Extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff! Caroline was fantastic, she helped my husband and myself pick out rain jackets and educated us on the differences to look for when shopping for rain gear. Happy with our purchase and the great service!

REI service is always pretty good, at least in my experience, but even by those high standards the service I had today was excellent!Lass who served me had great insight into tech I was enquiring about and saved me $40 by grabbing something from the garage sale section.

Asa taught a fantastic class on trailside bike repair! Well worth the cost of the class. My friends and I were pleasantly surprised on all we learned. Asa was very knowledgeable on the subject and went above and beyond to assist us and answer all of our questions. He also had great recommendations. I learned a lot about my bike and would like to take more classes from this instructor.

I think the Farmington Store/Team is my favorite REI ever. Visited my 1st REI store in about 2008, & in CA, ID, MI & UT. Lindsay helped us solve a purchase problem and is 5-star outstanding; and helped us greatly with product advice. Alan helped us solve significant backpack problem & with product advice and is 5-star outstanding. We’ll go to him for all backpack help. Audrey helped us with a product purchase problem and product advice and is 5-star outstanding. Caroline not only helped us with her product knowledge but radio’d with their efficient-cool REI headset and asked all employees a question to help us even more. We spent 2.5 hours there, over $860 and are SO happy with staff, customer service, product help, everything! We’ll go back to this store for any one of these awesome people. Thank you all! You’re amazing!

Derek was super helpful, had my hands full with my daughter and keeping my son on his new bike. He helped us quickly and walked out with us to my car with her bike. Thank you!

Sells dog gear yet doesn’t allow dogs. Undoubtedly the justification has to do with leasing rather than owning this specific location. Or maybe the management doesn’t want the hassle. Whatever the excuse, it’s not good enough. Even REI locations in the Midwest allow pets. Pathetic.

Don't waste your money on their membership with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. After having these $170 shoes 60 days the heels began to wear out so i took them in and told them i was not satisfied. They said it was normal wear and tear and voids the guarantee. I use these shoes at work and rotate shoes ever other day. Average 2 miles a day of walking. So that is roughly 60 miles of wear. Buy from Amazon where they honor their guarantees!! Tim in the Farmington branch could use a lot more customer service training also.

Would give zero stars if it were possible. Membership coupon was split between several items purchased. Even though the amount we spent was significantly higher than coupon value, upon returning one item, credit for the item was only partially given. The manager was very rude and the associate helping us was extremely uncomfortable with the way we were treated. Not planning on visiting this company again.

I've been frantically searching for some snow pants for a last minute ski day this Saturday. This will also be my first time ever skiing, so it was even more frantic because I had no idea what I was looking for. I had gone to Level 9 in Ogden and Columbia in Farmington, and couldn't find anything. A random Google search finally pulled up REI. I had totally forgotten about them. I quickly went down to Farmington and checked them out. While there, a lady by the name of Peg came over and helped me. I explained to her the whole situation and while I tried on the only pair of XXL snow pants I've been able to find anywhere, she began searching on her phone for any other options just in case they didn't work. She explained how their store worked, explained their membership program, and more. This was my first time buying snow pants, first time in REI, and going to be my first time skiing and she made all the searching and potential panicking worth it. I promptly bought a membership at the register and cannot say enough good things about Peg and the rest of the crew at REI. Thank y'all.

Ski shop is great. The ski tech worked with me on a complex remount for a pair of Dynastar Protos and Rustler 11s. He made different suggestions and recommendations then delivered on it. Bravo!
