I had a blast exploring the Jurassic sandstone giants of Goblin Valley State Park. The dark and stormy weather added to the experience.Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly.

It has always been one of my favorite places. It's gotten a bit too popular and expensive for me, but a great treat when I can make it m

What a great place to stop between national parks. The hoodoos are like nothing we'd ever seen and they go on and on for 3 square miles. You can wander around them at your leisure or follow some hiking routes. The campground is small, but with some advanced planning you might be able to score a spot, and there is a lot of BLM land nearby to camp for free.Restrooms: Restrooms at the visitor center and 2 sets at the main parking areaPicnic area: A number of picnic tables and one big ramada.

Such a cool place! I didn’t have long to spend so I did some hiking and played in the amphitheater. Would love to come back if I’m in the area again.Make sure you plan gas and food purchases accordingly as it’s a ways from any of the nearby towns.

Playground: A natural play area. You won’t find any swings or slides here but the kids will love playing in natures playground.

Just visited here for the first time yesterday and love it. Weather was absolutely perfect! Ended up hiking several different trails but the Goblins lair was definitely my favorite. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for something off the beaten path!Restrooms: Restrooms at the visitor center were great, even the ones at the trailheads were nice for being outhouses

Absolutely incredible place to go at night. We got that picture with the stars a couple years ago and it’s one of my favorites. It’s a good place to play night games and it’s always pretty warm. I would recommend if you’re camping nearby to go on the BLM land. There are a lot of hikes nearby that you can do as well. Clean up after yourself and don’t leave trash around. There are bathrooms there, pavilions, and plenty of other places to go. I think there’s one place called the goblins lair in the back of the park. That is a cool thing to visit. There are things to climb, play on, and explore in the back. Just don’t knock over a bunch of rocks. It’s a pretty big place and I guess it just depends on your audience for you wanna do there. There are plenty of ways to interact and have fun with it.Playground: The whole thing is a playground. It’s all rock though.Restrooms: They usually have pretty clean restrooms unless it gets packed and then they might get a little bit dirty but it’s not bad.Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs running around, very dog friendlyPicnic area: They have a pretty decent picnic area. There’s a nice shaded pavilion with a lot of space.
