I think about 35 years ago I was informed that my credit union (Utah State CU) had been sold to a credit union I had never heard of? called Mtn America CU.I have watched them grow and over the years have seen several cases where they have helped me with fraudulent attempts via invention of the internet and the concept of Electronic Payroll. (ya we used to get paid with a check on Friday). Thank you for being a leader in innovation and for years of great service!

As a 20-year customer at MACU, I am considering moving banks for the first time. The customer service at this particular branch is sub par. Waiting times are excessive whether for tellers or loan agents. When wait times may be long there is zero communication. Twice I have walked out without acknowledgement from anyone, because I failed to set aside an hour for a simple visit, EVEN WITH AN APPOINTMENT. I no longer pursue loans with this bank, in part because I find myself educating loan agents. They are often young and/or inexperienced, function as sales people, and know little about finance (or at least smart financial decisions). Watching the branch manager eat a sandwich at his desk while choosing to walk out is also bad optics. Not trying to hate on these guys, but I expect branches to be staffed to the level customer visits demand. I can understand challenging days, but greeting customers as they enter the door needs to be a priority requirement at this branch. Just disappointed after years of purposeful loyalty. Used to be 5 stars, I knock a star off after each poor visit. Phone service, if it will work for you, is a much more positive experience.

Worst location in the valley. Not enough employees. Waited 1 hr to open an account. And I was next in line. Horribly managed. Going else where.

1st frustration- Cannot use my credit card as a debit on a Macu Atm2nd frustration- Atm machine said my pin was wrong 3 times!!!3rd frustration- Spent 12minutes on a phone call, my question was simple: Can I use my credit card to withdraw money from my checking account on an atm? She took 12min to obtain the response!For last it looks like my credit card has been blocked!!! Seriously??!!Honestly, I am so disappointed that I cannot use my credit card with both functions!I never carry my debit, it’s absurd to me that I cannot withdraw not even when using a Macu ATM.

Would Highly Highly Recommend, switching to this bank! I was able to save around $400 with Conner Mack and I got a Way better interest rate and get the monthly amount pushed out a month. Also found out my old bank was not paying my old Credit Card correctly and would wait till after the due date to collect more late fees. Which is actually going to save me on paying rent month and being able to buy groceries for my family. Really grateful to have great people out there want to help you when you need it and intelligent banking.

I am a member since 2014 ,I had a terrible experience in herriman branch ,I am really thinking of closing my account ,I was waiting in line to open saving accounts for my teens,the teller told me she will notify the loan officer to help me ,I was waiting 30 mins after which that loan officer without even checking who's in line invited 2 others who just walked in , so I had to leave ,I thought there is zero tolerance to ignore people ,but guess what, I left ,you lost 2 members and you got a bad Google review.

We have had a business account here for the last 15 years and over the last few months every time we need to go to the bank for something it takes 30 minutes to an hour to be helped with things as simple as getting a cashiers check or getting something notarized. Today we waited 50 minutes for our turn to be told that unfortunately we would have to wait for the next available person. The line for help grows longer and longer and there appear to be people waiting at the drive through line while no cars are coming through. Half the time we are in there it seems like 3 mangers are in one office having a “meeting” while customers wait for an hour to be helped.

For personal accounts, I mostly like banking with MACU. There have been some glaring problems with some of their systems. One of them resulted in a ding on my credit that took me fighting tooth and nail on three separate occasions (where I was told there was nothing that could be done) until it was remedied.DO NOT do your business banking with them. I moved some business accounts over for simplicity sake and because I like their some of the functions of their app/online banking. Everything that's business-related is a nightmare. They don't seem to have many business accounts or cater much to that type of business. They seemingly have one individual that covers the whole state so if you need to do anything with your business account you need to wait until he decides to get a hold of you. I had 5 requests in through different channels and it was the 3rd request that ended up landing first. What a joke.Very random but maybe worth noting (or mayne I'm a conspiracy theorist) my car got hit in their parking lot (the person left) and after having to get a subpoena and fighting for 6months to get the surveillance video, they just so happened to have video from all like 11 cameras except the one that covered that area of the parking lot that day. They had footage from that camera, but not during that period and had footage from all other cameras. It was like something straight out of a movie.

What a breath of fresh air!!! I was told to ask for Makayla and I was soo pleased with her help!!! I told her what we needed and she let me know how to perpare the documents and the length of time I could be looking at. This was soo helpful! Thank you Makayla for being so kind, patient, understanding And willing to help us accomplish our goal!!! Give this girl a raise : ) Love this branch!

I made my appointment and they still didn't attend to me. I waited an hour and then they asked me that I had to leave. I love this bank, but this headquarters disappointed me.

Love mountain America but the loan officer, Mariet, was not too kind. I was told I couldn’t open an account but I went to another mountain America in Draper and they were able to help me out. :)
