“I couldn’t get my lock to open after an hour of trying to push it and i thought it was over. so I called the providence location to have them try and open it and they made miracles happen. a guy and a girl (i can’t remember there names) came and got me a new weather strip and were able to close the lock for me. God speed to both of them.”

“I've been using Smithfield Storage for the past 2 years and they have been so great to work with. In Jan 2025 we went on a cruise and during the boarding process, security lost my keys which had my storage units key on them. I called Smithfield Storage and they cut the old lock off, put one of their locks on till I could go to the unit and put a new lock on the storage door. They made it so easy. “I rented a storage unit here from Dee Giibbons in 1991 when I was in my early 30s. After he passed, we continued to rent from his son Bob up through September of 2025. I have never done business with two kinder men.
I had some health issues in the early 2000s and was unable to pay rent on my storage unit for about a year. Dee told me to get healthy and once I was back on my feet I could begin paying him back. Fast forward to September of 2025. I’m just shy of 67 now and needed to get my storage unit cleaned out since I no longer needed it. I wasn’t sure how I was going to be able to do it. I called Bob one evening and explained my situation to him. He said he’d meet me at my unit the next day to make a plan. When we met at my unit he said he had a couple of younger guys and they’d get it cleaned out for me. He said he could do it for between $200 to $250. There was a lot of garbage along with a few items having value.
Bob called me today, 09/25/2025, to tell me they got my unit cleaned out. When I asked him what I owed him, he said, “not a thing.” He told me he and the two guys that helped found enough things they wanted to keep that they didn’t need further compensation for cleaning out my unit.
Economy Storage has units in a variety of sizes. They are well maintained and have adequate security. But, the highest praise and recommendation I can give to anyone in need of a storage unit is if you rent one of its units, you’ll have the opportunity to meet and deal with an extremely kind and honest man.
