We go to another veterinarian but had an emergency with our dog, and our vet didn’t have any emergency openings. I called around and Blacksmith Fork Veterinary was the only one willing to house our pup for free and squeeze her in to be seen between their fully-booked schedule. We would have had to drive to Layton to the emergency vet hospital had they not been willing. They’re literal life-savers. We’re grateful for them!!

Great providers and staff. Much more affordable than other options in the area. Worth the extra time to drive there.

A great experience minus the fact that my 47 pound dog is still a puppy. Fortunately, however, I think he’s probably about as big as he’s gonna get. But he’s so full of energy. He’s very difficult when it comes to people and other animals. The staff there was very understanding about this. It makes a person feel good because nobody wants an unruly pet. But these people having worked with lots of animals over the years know that it’s just the puppy coming out. Lol. Anyhow, they answered my questions took a wonderful care of my dog, and I will look forward to returning to them again for future services.

Brought my two cats in for some cathood chopping. They have very long hair and were covered in matted fur. Without us asking, they fully smoothed out and cleaned all of their fur, for free. Great service, nice people.

I have been very pleased with the service and care from Black Smith Fork Veterinary clinic. My border collie puppy fractured her femur, needed surgery and much care. They were very easy to work with, caring and did everything they could to make it the best experience for my puppy and myself. I would highly recommend taking your fur animals to see them.

This clinic is efficient, kind & friendly to pets (& humans!) And so knowledgeable! We made a cross country move for husband's military job & feel very relieved our neighbors recommended Blacksmith Fork Vet Clinic!

I’ve struggled with the idea of writing this review, but I think I should. So here goes…. We brought in our 2 bunnies (1 male, 1 female) almost a year ago to get fixed. I was so nervous to turn them over, and the ladies at the front desk didn’t help calm my fears at all. The doctor never came out to meet us either before or after. The office felt emotionally cold to me and the mannerisms of the desk staff didn’t help alleviate any of my concerns.
Our female eventually recovered well, which we were all grateful for.
Our male bunny ended up passing 6 months later. The operation didn’t fix his territorial problem. He started shedding a lot soon after the surgery, which we weren’t too concerned about because we were heading into summer. But then when fall came and he kept shedding while heading into fall and winter, we suspected something was off. Before his surgery, he was getting bigger every day. But after his surgery, he gradually lost weight until at the end of his life he was very boney. I couldn’t have put it all together at the time, but looking back, his sickness seemed to all stem from his surgery.
When he was so sick that we couldn’t get him to eat anymore, we took him to a bunny vet in Ogden. I wish we would have brought him there for his surgery. They were kind and sweet and the doctor came out to meet us and explain everything. Contrast this with not even meeting the doctor who performed our bunny’s surgery at Blacksmith Fork. I couldn’t recommend these guys for bunnies, but please know that there is a bunny vet in Ogden who will care for your bunnos. :)
