One of the most peaceful places we have been to. We loved it and will definitely be back!

This place takes the cake! We stayed for one night in 2023 and knew we had to make it back. It was beyond worth the trip from TX! The place is incredible - but even better, the campground hosts and owners. They are personable, caring, interactive with the guests and truly care about the experience their guests have. I've been recommending this place to everyone I can! We had an awesome experience and will be back. I can't emphasis the details they think of enough. It's unmatched at other campgrounds. We will 100% be back. You can't just look at pictures - you have to experience and I hope you all do!

Our recent stay at Dark Sky was wonderful in every way. The owner and staff are super helpful and welcoming. The facilities are more than adequate yet maintain a rustic simplicity that is delightful and fits perfectly with the surrounding majestic vistas of wide open spaces and red sandstone cliffs. We definitely plan to return.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. Unique sites with small shelters and even gas fire pit at each site! The staff is so personable! We love it here!

My wife and I have been traveling in our van and outside of state and national parks, the majority of RV parks leave something to be desired. Everyone is so close to one another and little thought has gone into creating an experience for visitors. It's a place to park, dump, get water, and electricity. That's about it. Thus we find ourselves wanting to boondock more often but then you have no community and easy and clean bathrooms and showers (even though w have both in our van) can be hard to come by. To our surprise, Dark Sky was completely different. While the sites are fairly close in proximity to one another, it just doesn't feel like it. Bathrooms are super clean and simple yet modern. The bath house you can take an indoor or outdoor shower and all the bathrooms have heated floors which is nice when it's chilly. They have a lovely community area where people actually gather to chat and share adventures. There's also a store that has local products, eggs, bread, ... and it's all reasonably priced and works on the honor system which just feels nice to be in an honest and trusting community. We sat by the pond oasis and went on a hike with some cute baby goats which was fun. The owners and staff go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and make sure your needs are being met. We were only there one day and we have already scheduled more time there next week. Just a place you want to be and a group of people you want to spend time with, get to know, and help them be successful. I'd highly recommend this place.

Dark Sky is probably the best RV campground we have ever visited. The property, the amenities and the staff are all top notch.

We absolutely loved Dark Sky RV. We tried to book a night here during our southern Utah National Park trip, but unfortunately it was full. I decided to try again the day of and someone had canceled. Lucky us!
We were greeted by Jeff who offered us a cold drink and chatted with us for almost 30 minutes about the area, things to do, etc. He was so wonderfully welcoming. I don’t think we’ve felt as welcomed at any other campground we’ve stayed at. Our plan was to stay one night but 30 minutes from when we were supposed to leave we decided we wanted to stay another night.
They were having their social that night and we were willing to forego our next stop to stay in this beautiful park and enjoy their social. We are so glad we did. They cooked us delicious chili, mac & cheese, a potato bar, bread pudding and donut bites. Everything was freshly made and free…unbelievable! And the beers were cold and free as well.
This is a very special place. If you can stay here, do it!!

We did not look up reviews for this place prior to booking. It was a last minute decision after the battery died on our RV and we desperately needed a site with full hookup. Turns out this ended up being our favorite campsite out of 7 on our 2 week long trip. Absolutely amazing staff(owner), fun common area, heated floor bathrooms, and gorgeous views. It's out far away enough from the town you feel like you're boondocking. Highly recommend and when we're back in Utah we will 100% stop there again

This is right by a main road so the name itself is a bit misleading. The artificial fragrance smells from the bathrooms were noxious and gave my family and I headaches. Then you have the fumes from the cars on the road nearby, so much for fresh clean air and privacy.

I’m extremely disappointed by the lack of basic consideration shown by this business. I explained that I have a medically documented fragrance allergy due to cancer-related sensitivities and simply asked if they could remove a couple of fragrance dispensers during my visit. This was a small, temporary accommodation to prevent a serious health reaction (that affects MANY people as well).
Unfortunately, they refused, showing little concern for accessibility or health needs. It’s disheartening when a simple, low-effort request for health and safety is met with indifference. If you’re chemically sensitive, immunocompromised, or require basic accommodations, I would caution you before visiting.
Edit to add: they told me they would get back to me and never did so the part about worrying about my accessibility needs was never communicated. I have receipts for this. Also, this is illegal/against ADA to not apply a small accommodation of removing fragrances (I never told them they had to change all of their products just remove sprays/plug inns).

Dark Sky RV Resort is something special. ✨ Every inch of this place feels intentional, like it was designed by people who truly love life on the road. The sites are thoughtfully laid out, giving you space to breathe and stunning views to take in, without losing that friendly sense of community.
We were blown away by the amenities. The heated floors in the bathrooms? Total game changer; like a warm hug after a chilly desert night. And the outdoor showers? Honestly magical. There's something about rinsing off under the open sky that just hits different.
The showers were spotless, the water pressure was perfect, and everything was beautifully maintained. The 24-hour market was super handy; stocked with everything we didn’t know we’d need. And the community areas were a vibe: peaceful, welcoming, and full of fellow travelers swapping stories and smiles.
And of course; Cleo the cat. 🐾 She was the cherry on top. Mysterious, mellow, and absolutely adorable, she added a whole other layer of charm to our stay.
If you're chasing wide-open skies, comfort with soul, and a place that feels like a little desert oasis, Dark Sky is the spot. Can’t wait to return.

We stayed at Dark Sky for 7 nights. It’s a great location for day trips to many wonderful places. It was clean and quiet and the people friendly. It was wonderful to be able to do laundry while there. We loved having the dog park and enjoyed walking around the water feature and terrace.
