Amazing and quick service, and very reasonable prices too. They have some awesome employees as well. My parents used to have their vehicles serviced here when I was a kid, and now it is my and my boyfriends turn. I definitely recommend them!

I had taken my car into a brand name shop for some work and couldn't afford it due to the crazy high quote. Found Gines auto they did the work for half the price and even fixed some small things I didn't know about. I'm back in the road and have a peac of mind that I now have a honest reliable shop.

Polite and professional. Accommodating. They did an excellent job and in a very reasonable timeframe. I would use them again and recommend them for car engine and battery/alternator service. They even provided a shuttle for me. Nice people.

Great service! They are all so knowledgeable and very nice, I absolutely loved my experience here. They also saved my day by having their shuttle service take me back to work and kept me updated with everything being done to my car, they even included pictures in a text. I highly recommend them! I will definitely be coming back here for future car services.

I absolutely do not recommend taking your vehicle here for service. Our truck wasn't running well and they were 1 of the closest repair shops. In hindsight we should have taken it to the dealership and saved ourselves a lot of money. We'd already used a code reader and there were 3 possible issues. The fuel filters or 1 of the 2 fuel pumps on the truck. Fuel filters are a fairly quick and inexpensive solution so that was our hope. They called and said it was 1 of the fuel pumps and over $1200 to replace. A couple days later we got a message saying the truck was ready but it was more money than they quoted us. After replacing the fuel pump the truck still didn't run well. Gines (without talking to us 1st) said they then replaced a totally clogged fuel filter. The filter was a little less than $100. I now feel totally ripped off. They should have started with the easiest and least expensive repair 1st. I don't really think my 2016 truck needed a new $1200 fuel pump. I think it needed a new $100 fuel filter. Not only that when I called around the dealer said the entire fuel pump replacement was $830 for parts and labor. I was charged $834.60 by Gines just for the labor. More than the entire cost of repair somewhere else. They upsold me on other services and I had them flush the radiator while they had the truck in for repair. However after having it back for only 1 day the check coolant light came on. Not only had they not tightened the radiator cap, they hadn't put in enough antifreeze. I'm just incredibly thankful we didn't overheat. We could smell diesel fuel inside the cab of truck after we got it back. It seemed to be coming from the driver's seat. We ended up parking it in the backyard and leaving all the windows down for 4 days. The smell has slowly disappeared thank heavens. In retrospect I feel like they overcharged me for an unnecessary repair let alone the radiator/antifreeze situation and someone getting diesel fuel on the drivers seat. Kicking ourselves in butt for not taking it to the dealership in the 1st place and saving all kinds of money.I do not recommend Gines auto repair!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Update to the owners review! Your right I have reviewed ken Garff and Larry H Miller dealers! I would recommend Salt Lake Valley dodge! Salt Lake Valley Dodge quoted 2 hour labor for a total of $380 and over $400 for the pump. Your price on the fuel pump was actually pretty good! Why no pictures of the test of the fuel pump? You flushed my radiator and according to your own invoice you didn't put enough antifreeze back into it! You put a universal automobil antifreeze in my truck, according to cummings that is going to gel up in the cooling system. My truck ran warmer than it ever has pulling parlays canyon, still not sure you put enough antifreeze in it!Obviously not the shop to have your diesel worked on!Went to Gines to have a diagnostic and repair done on my 2016 ram. First, the prices they quoted to change a fuel pump were quite high when compared to dealer prices. 2 they sent me pictures of my truck of thing they suggested to be done, like the cooling system needing flushed. 3 sure wish they had sent a picture of the diagnostic of the fuel pump, because he changed the fuel.filtwr because it wasn't running correctly still,Chad told me they changed the fuel filter and it ran fine after that. They got diesel fuel in the cab of my truck! When I took it back so they could clean it, the coolant light came on, theybsaid they forgot to tighten the cap! They didn't clean anything!Services: General repairs & maintenance

I've come here a couple times and the customer service is great, the techs are smart, they're honest, and have fair prices. I've already recommended gines to friends and family, not that they need the business, Gines always has business.

I've been consistently overcharged for services. I was overcharged for replacing a car battery, which I paid for because I just wanted to get it over with. The last time I came here, the front driver's strut was leaking and needed to be replaced. When I got a call for the recommended action to be taken, the quote was $2600 for all four strut kits to be replaced along with an alignment. When I asked for an itemization of the quote, the associate talked fast, and kept talking quickly after I asked him to repeat himself, probably hoping I would get confused and go along with the quote. I took my car to another mechanic and they said since the back struts last a lot longer than the front (and the back were still in good shape), they recommended replacing only the front struts and an alignment, which ended up costing $1500. Gines will strap on unnecessary services to rack up the bill.

We are very happy with Gines Auto Service. They are courteous, thoughtful, honest, and not at all pushy (a vast improvement over my experiences with Jiffy Lube). Their customer service is fabulous and even includes a shuttle service so you can drop off your car and not have to wait around for it to be ready (or force friends or family members to come pick you up). They keep our vehicle well maintained without constantly trying to sell us repairs we don't need. They let us know if there is an expensive repair coming up, but never pressure us or try to scare us so we do it right away (they're even fine if we price check other places and diy options). And today when I let them know last minute that we needed our van back as quickly as possible, they bent over backwards to have it ready when we needed it, even though they were already very busy. I highly recommend them!
