Two stars, one for the doctor and one for the one staff member who is helpful. I've never had glasses before but was offered no guidance on what I needed to do for frames or anything. I was sold children sized frames and only found that out after multiple adjustment attempts. I suggest going to the Farmington location for much better service.

Went back after bad experience and it was night and day difference, people friendly and the girl who assisted me today went above and beyond to be sure I received the best lenses for my needs! Even ordered transitions I didn't need but wanted ? Thx A Best

I went here for an eye exam in August. It took about 2 hours to complete the exam. At least 90% of that time was waiting on their staff to get to me when though I had an appointment. I wasn't in a hurry though so I didn't make a big deal about it. I went here because they take both my insurances(medical and optical). They confirmed this before my appointment.My wife, who has the same insurance as me, got an exam this month after confirming again that they take both our insurances. At the end of the exam she looked at glasses but didn't order them because it was after business hours for the optical insurance company and they said they have to call the insurance company to verify insurance before giving an exact quote. The salesperson said she would call insurance the next Monday and call my wife with the quote. The salesperson then told us we could pay for the exam right then. We told her our exam is covered by our medical insurance and they pay 100%. She tried to tell us that they don't bill medical insurance. This was the exact same salesperson that helped bill medical insurance for my exam. We looked and they had already billed our medical insurance for my exam. After some pushback, she put in the insurance info and then said that it was covered by our medical insurance.My wife didn't hear from them, so my she called them today (10 days later) they had never called the insurance and were trying again to charge us for the eye exam. The person who my wife talked to said she was the manager and that they don't bill medical insurance. My wife explained that they had already billed our medical insurance for my previous visit and that we would not have come there at all if they didn't bill medical insurance. The manager was adamant about it in a rude way, but said they would remove the charge for the exam if she bought glasses. She also told my wife to expect a bill for my exam which they were already paid for by our medical insurance!It seems like they are trying to double bill for exams and commit insurance fraud. We will not be going back to America's Best, especially not this location!

Honestly I believe working in a health or customer place is to be nice and caring , profesional. First walking expresión was u have a appointment..this was the young girl as a receiver.(with a straight face) and the lady that did the pre-testing was so nice and friendly. And to finish the Dr that did the eye exam was like a robot speaking all the exam. NO smile or not talking at all. To finish he told my husband o everything looks good and never mention what was the prescription on his eyes or why was he going to wear glasses. So done it's my last time going to this place, I seen NO smiles on most ppl in this place. I would never recommend this place at all!

Very disappointed and frustrated! Yes I was 9 minutes late do to confusion on my part. They wasted no time canceling my appointment and going to lunch early. According to their own time schedule there was still time to do my appointment . I’ll find a place that spends a little longer than 10 minutes on there exams and has a little more understanding about the fact that life sometimes happens.

Worse optical experience in 30 years.I wasn't told that the doctor was remote until I was in the first exam room. I have a qualm about remote medicaI professionals. I was so taken back and the "exam" went so quickly that I didn't mention I'd been loyal to the same brand of lenses for 12 years. When the assistant handed me the paper, the contact prescription was for their store brand of 2 week lenses only. Seriously?So I asked them to change it to my preferred brand and they acted like I'd greatly inconvenienced them. I had to wait a while for a manager to reluctantly change it.A week goes by and the 2 for $79 glasses I'd chosen (which actually cost twice that) came in so I went to get them. I have had these glasses for a month now and I still can't wear them for more than 10 minutes without getting dizzy and nauseous. There is a strange curve on the lenses that I've never experienced before. Due to the strange curve they're useless to me.

I am right now at the Layton, Utah store 930 W Antelope Dr, Layton, UT 84041. There is something very stressful and irritating and disrespectful going on for us as customers. I made my daughter's appointment today at 4:30 pm Sep 23, 2023. Be on time for my daughter's appointment at 4:35 pm. I arrived and the attention was not the best. I came for the promotion of 2 pairs of glasses for $80 and the exam was free. I told the workers that I was coming for this promotion. They told me that I had to take my daughter's exam quickly because the doctor had to leave and they were forcing me and my daughter to take the exam in a very forced and rushed way. My daughter felt very bad just like me. I told them that my daughter wanted to see some type of lenses first before taking the exam because she didn't know if any type of lenses she liked. She suffers from some anxiety and for her it is not normal or it does not feel good for people to rush her or freeze her from doing something she does not want. I explained to them that my daughter wanted to take time to see if any model of lens she liked and they spoke to me in a loud voice and in a not very polite manner. Then another person and the doctor came and said if I didn't take the test now then I had to leave the store. I told them that we felt forced and obligated and my daughter started crying and we left the store in a very bad way. I don't think this is the experience that you, as companies, want your customers to get by coming here to your stores and putting their children, which is the most precious thing a parent has, to be mistreated. I need to speak with a supervisor or manager in charge of the state or US level. I hope to have a response as soon as possible. My daughter urgently needs her glasses.

Ok. This is the best store hands down. You have to go there. The whole staff is so professional and amazing. Especially the lady who helped me with clear glasses and blond hair, forgive me for forgetting her name. I went to a competitor of theirs to get an exam and glasses. It was a total debacle and a 2 month nightmare. Desperate I went to this store as I did once in the past and it was the best decision like ever. They fixed my first set of frames and lenses perfectly. Then they sent my other frames in for repairs and honored my warranty. They also have the BEST selection of frames anywhere. Super cute and super affordable. They are open with great hours and always answer their calls. I'm not saying this just to say this. They really are a super amazing business. You will love going here and be treated amazingly. Ps the glasses I got there in this pic with my pug ??

Received the wrong prescription twice. I even mentioned it was blurry still the second time, but he said it would be better then what I currently have and it was impossible to be perfect. He was wrong and I can’t use my new glasses because they are so bad. My son was watching and said despite me continuing to say they were too strong, the doctor wouldn’t go any lower. Since I bought the glasses elsewhere they couldn’t fix the incorrect glass. Rather then get it wrong for a 3rd time I’m going elsewhere.

Love the company. They’ve been very good to me for the last few years. HOWEVER the Layton location is a joke. Their receptionist mumbles every time she talks, she doesn’t communicate with patients when there’s an issue with their system so we had waste gas driving to them when they could have called us and that was before she told us to wait one hour more to just be told to reschedule. Hire some new competent people, guys. Seriously it’s a joke.

The only issue I had was with a specific women with dark hair making a very rude and judgemental comment. Shewelcomed me with "Wow all you 20 something year olds just love to come in at closing cause you sleep all day!" I maybe a 20 something year old but I am a stay at home mother of 2. If I wasn't already anxious about being there I would have defended myself better. I wish I got her name cause she needs to know she can't make comments like that.. My experience other than that was over all very well considering I have been needing a new prescription for 6yrs. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and the Dr took his time. Didn't feel rushed. I however wouldn't want to work with that women again. Rude. RUDE.

Dr. Daniel Weir was great! I got the best exam and information I have ever had in 50 years of wearing glasses. I find America’s best to be the best value for me and my family.

I went in to see if I can wear contacts but also wanted to get an eye exam and a pair of glasses. I was frustrated at first after hearing it was 80 fot the eyeglass prescription and 90 for contacts as I only wanted to verify I can wear contacts again. Clearly upset as I just lost my job the night before and only had enough for one this amazing worker there MaryAnn said let me help you and get you taken care of. She explained everything to me very well, she was nice, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and simple great. After visiting with her the whole experience just kept getting better and better. Because of her I was able to see the doc at no cost to verify contacts aren't a good option as I found out I sleep with my eyes open, I got my glasses prescription and a pair of glasses as well for free because MARYANN went to see what she could do and took the time and cared and she found a voucher program to use and she has no idea how thankful, how great it helped, and how much relief she gave me. I recommend the America's Best for sure!
