Cinemark provides a welcome return to the big screen experience, although the prices for food are noticeably steep. The upgraded seats, however, add a level of comfort and luxury that can make up for the cost. Despite the pricey snacks, the overall joy of going to the movies again, especially with enhanced seating options, creates an enjoyable cinematic experience. If you're willing to splurge a bit, Cinemark offers a satisfying return to the magic of the big screen.

I'd rank this five stars except for the employees who seem to be more attentive to each other than to their guests. Rarely do you get a smile or even eye contact. Otherwise, the theaters are clean and it's a good experience.

This is my favorite theater. It is always clean. I love the loungers. Would recommend.

The loungers are the only way to watch a movie. I always bring in a blanket and kick off my shoes for an at home feel with big sound and even bigger screen. I really enjoy having the online pre purchase options for concessions, I don’t wait in line anymore and that’s a major plus. Also, they were out of a treat I had pre purchased once and the team made it up to me big time with other options. Cinemark is my fave theatre in Layton.

Cinemark Layton and XD Movie Theater, Layton, is a nice, slightly above average theater. The theater is a clean and well organized, featuring larger screens and reclining seats. There are steep staircases If you prefer upper seating, although I wouldn’t take elderly guests up them. There was no attendant at the box office window so we purchased our tickets from the concession stand. The theater was clean and well organized and stocked. The staff was mostly professional and polite, besides the person who told us to go to the theater that our movie was ending in.The exterior of the building looks to be a bit in disrepair. The parking lot is not great and there doesn’t seem to be a lot of parking for weekend crowds. A Thursday afternoon there is parking for days. This theater has handicap accessible parking, wheelchair entrance, and seating. There is an arcade in the lobby.I will probably go again.

Came here for the first time with my kids and it was a great experience. I love the reclining chairs! Made it so much more comfy for us. The seats were a little dirty with old popcorn & whatnot in the crevices but besides that everything else was fine. Popcorn machine wasn’t working when we ordered but they offered to bring it to our seats once the popcorn was made. we got it 10 minutes later and it was very fresh! Can’t wait to see more movies here.

I was so excited as this was my first lounger experience, but boy was I let down. I went and saw Saw X with my girlfriend and the movie had pixelation/artifacts throughout the entire film. Come on guys, what year is it? Second, the concessions delivery service was actually really nice! The gentleman was there waiting for us with everything we ordered! Here is where that went badly. I ordered a Powerade and as some of you might know about now, it was blue colored water.Other than those two pretty significant issues, we had a great time. The theater was very clean. I didn't stick to the floors. The lobby floor was very clean and the bathrooms were as well!! The staff was pretty nice. The concessions gentleman was very slightly impatient with us as we found our seats but nothing bad.

The good: decent screen and okay sound. The bad: 2 of the 4 seats my family had were defective (did not recline). 25 minutes of commercials AFTER the movie start time. Popcorn all over the theater floors. The ugly: I bet I will get an auto response for me to visit their website to "add comments" and get some sort of discount for a future visit. Having just watched The Barbie movie, I know I don't have to take that kind of B.S.

Train your managers and don’t sit around making fun of your customers please!I’m left with such a bad taste in my mouth from a few weeks ago.. .June 18th my husband and I took our kids to see Elemental at around 4:45. We bought our tickets at the kiosk by the front. We used a $25 gift card plus a credit card . Near the transaction was “error selection not available”. we weren’t able to exit or start over, it didn’t print tickets. Confused, we tried again with different seats (our original selection was not available) but the gift card was empty. We went to the snack bar and asked for help. The employee grabbed a manager. We waited for a few minutes then I saw employees at the kiosk. The movie was starting soon and more ppl were continuing to buy tickets so we started to get a little anxious. I approached the workers and said Hey, you should be helping me rather than doing this because I’m worried we are going to end up without seats. The young lady slowly turned her bright red face and me and spoke threw her teeth as she replied “I understand that, I am trying to get your tickets.” I could see how upset and angry she instantly was and wanted me to know how much I bothered her so I backed off for a minute and watched them take the kiosk apart implying the tickets were stuck. I told her my concerns of ending up with the theater sold out and we just needed to see if we could still purchase new tickets or whatever. Had she taken the time to stop and talk with me, we could explain error message in the first place. I felt bad for my kids, and I’m sure she was just frustrated and inexperienced, I get it. So she takes us up to the snack counter where she says those seats were purchased, verified the gift card was empty and I looked up a pending charge on my credit card which seemed like a good sign. However she could not wrap it up; wasn’t printing tickets, had no answer/solution we were going in circles. Eventually, she instructed us to go to the ushers and ask them if they could look up our tickets using our credit card. I asked her if a manager could help us and she said she was the manager. The movie was about to start so I told the usher what was going on and they let us sit in our original seats. I don’t work there and I didn’t see any point in going back and forth doing her job. A few minutes later I went to get popcorn and before I could fully exit the theater, I hear her mimicking me. As I got closer, the older bald guy said Ut-oh and a circle of about 7-8 employees turned and saw me walking out. I was super embarrassed and upset because this entire staff is sitting around making fun of me (because they didn’t know how to help us). I yelled at her and added to the scene she had going. The old bald guy yelled whatever to dismiss me. Five minutes later I went back to get popcorn after taking some breaths. I found her and asked what I did wrong and pointed out her incompetence, it was extremely uncomfortable but a teachable moment she needed. No one was yelling or super mean. I asked if she wanted me to do anything different, she said no. I guess she was mad I didn’t go back and forth like she dispatched my family and I to do. I explained that is not my job and suggested how she handle that differently should it happen again. She never even apologized or offered any decency to myself or family. Later, the same bald guy was still talking about me at the snack bar!! He mumbled something rude as he went to the back. The young kid I got popcorn from felt so awkward and bad, he was really nice. I spent 30 min of that movie very uncomfortable and frustrated over all the unnecessary drama. Oh and my seat was broken, that was almost comical. -NOT COOL!

Nice and clean, friendly staff, kinda wish there were less stairs for elderly guests but I wish that for a lot of theaters (I'm aware there is "handicap" seating but you try telling a nearly 84 year old to sit somewhere they don't want to sit and see how it goes). This theater is the first I've been to in a long time that WASN'T freezing! That was super exciting for me and it was nice to know that they sold blankets in case you were freezing. All in all had a great time with Oma and kiddo??

Was clean, including floors and men's restroom. Seats reclined and were padded and comfortable. Large screens. A very enjoyable experience I will repeat. Very high priced popcorn and drinks though.

Our go-to for nearby movies. It's pretty clean. The leather seats are comfortable and spacious and the legrest is appreciated. I like being able to just buy my tickets online, choose my seats and be done with it all before I get there.

The chairs are not as comfortable as they used to be, but they are still pretty good. During the movie, the speakers were crackling a little bit in theater 7... mostly when there was a lot of bass. The popcorn is yummy and I love the option of adding more butter at the station. However, I dislike that there are still no refills on large drinks and popcorn. These items are expensive and no refills doesn't help. I spent almost $40 on popcorn and 3 drinks! I wish there was a way to pre-order snacks without having to buy your ticket through the app.Overall, good theater.

Theater was hot. We asked for air to be turned on. It was on for the first half hour, then it got hot again. No refills on popcorn and soda. Lame, but ended up being okay. Popcorn was old anyway. The staff had poor customer service. Not mean, just unfriendly, not engaged, lacked customer care. When asked about the air. They were like ”oh yeah“ then called to get it turned on. It was just enough to not want to come back. The hallway was cooler then in the theater. The hallway was 71 degrees. The floors are dirty. Just overall terrible. Sad part is. I remember earlier in the year the experience being better.
