I've been a Discount Tires customer for 15+ years have always had a pleasant experience. West valley, Bountiful, and Taylorsville. I would never go to any other tire chain.I moved to Davis county a few years ago and each time I've been here it has lacked the same quality experience. It's not fair to expect a chain to stay consistent but... the other Layton store @ 881 W Hill Field Rd is the one you WANT to go. I've had three bad experiences and I am done. I'll pass on this location moving forward. recently I bought all new tires and I felt they didn't properly install them.. as they were making noises and I could feel my wheels feel really off. I took it back and idk dudes name but he was a bald Caucasian man. He gave off the energy that I was an idiot when I spoke to him about my dilemma. he told me it's mechanical has to be brakes etc. and that could be but I asked if they were willing to re mount and balance the tires for me just incase since with a purchase to THEIR tires they have a process where they can do it anytime for FREE. (Tire rotation/Tire balancing/Air pressure check/Puncture repair.)But of course he didn't gaf and he just sent me on my way.. showed no genuine concern for my safety or nothing lol.... like thanks lemme go die???? legit all he did was kneel down looked for two seconds and that's it? You are getting paid to do a job like dude could you do it please....? ya'll just do tire related stuff it's not rocket science lmao...So I took it down to the OTHER Layton store and you know what they did?!?!??? they were empathetic about my dilemma without scheduling me or anything they pulled me immediately in once one bay cleared. and WOW what a surprise the offset was OFF and after they re did the process I had no more issues who would have thought..some weeks pass by and my other vehicle I suspect has a nail in the tire. So as I have always done I hit up discount tires to get it taken care of.. pretty standard process they always take care of.So I give this location one more shot and of freaking course the same megamind lookin ahh is who I get... So I get policies and procedures and just doing your job but in the very least my guy can you like be helpful for like five seconds...?????So he says the condition of my tire looks potentially unsafe and says they can remove the nail but if they were to remove it and if it is unsafe then I HAVE to buy a new tire?!?!?! which I cannot outta pocket because most of us out here are barely making it by. like worst case scenario you could just take a quick look and if it really is the case then you could just not do anything OR just fix the nail and lemme know that you can't do much more than that. but nope dude just pressing me bout buying the tire or I gtfo. So I go to the other store AGAIN. the person there was EXTREMELY helpful they did mention the same thing BUUUUT they said they would like to help me get the nail out in the very least regardless of IF there's more underlying issues because they had compassion for me. They pulled me in and in less than 5 minutes they found the nail and patched me up and had me on my way. it was really that quick.. I had a great experience there and it solidified it for me as THE TO GO TO STORE OF LAYTON.This store does not have the discount tire quality I expect and I will no longer do business here. the chances of me coming back are the same as the dudes hairs coming back.

Awesome tire shop. Their service guys are also awesome. I went in with a flat due to a screw being in it. They advised me my tires were covered under warranty and they fixed it quickly en efficiently.

Sam did a great job today checking the air in my tires. It was cold and rainy and he was still happy to help me out. Thanks Sam

This used to be a good store but it's gone down hill. I brought in a tire that held air to have a nail pulled and patched to be safe, they put a hole in the side of the tire and and acted like it's no big deal. I chalking it up to a loss but they really couldn't have cared less that they took my tire that was road worthy and destroyed it.

Not the best experience. Tried to order tires online, and they charged the Discount Tire Card but no tires or appointment (twice). Told they would fix this, then told I needed to fix it with Synchrony. Eventually resolved this error. Tires were eventually installed, TPMS light on and they did not program right. Blamed their tool. Had to return to get the sensors programmed right. Tire balance good, wheel torque right, tire pressures low 3 psi (two times to fix, did set myself). Service Advisor disappeared. I am picky with my requests, the tire techs said, "he thinks he has a Ferrari", well it is my Subaru Ferrari. Funny for a minute, then insulting. Overall, I do like the tires and the price. Advice is not to use the online ordering and scheduling as it does not work. Likely not going back.

Extremely impressed with this store. Changed four tires in 10-15 minutes, honored my appointment time to an T, and the employees were all very professional and respectful. Would highly recommend

This location is our preferred because we've had good experiences here, versus less than stellar performance at other locations. After you park, you may be met by a technician, or you can go inside and get in line for the counter. On our last visit, I approached the counter and told them what I needed. We've bought tires here, had flat tires repaired, aired up tires, checked tire pressures, and rotated/balance tires for maintenance. Before Covid, they had a refrigerator with water, but that is gone now. On my last visit, I had an appointment for a rotation. It seemed that they were pretty busy, and I still had to wait 1 hour for the rotation to be completed. I cannot guess what the wait would have been without an appointment. The service is cordial and they are knowledgeable. They do an inspection, and inform you of any concerns they may have for your tires, but they aren't heavy handed on upselling you with repairs, or replacements, if they aren't needed. They will go the extra mile to get you safely back on the road.

Best place to go if you have a leaky tire! They have fixed my tires twice, both for free. Of course they try to upsell you with things like wiper blades or whatever, but it’s not required to buy anything for the free tire fix service.

Prompt, friendly service at their free air check station. Not on board with the 3 pound over recommended PSI on the tire inflation label, but I get it since a hot tire will cool and lose pressure.
