These guys are freaking outstanding! My car was one problem after the other. They fought the fight and figured it out. Besides my car being fixed, the best part of it all, they are honest and up front. They have been transparent with EVRYTHING. The staff and mechanics are a class act. I highly recommend them. They have a customer for life.

I own the place so I am obviously extremely biased. I did recently have my Ford F250 PowerStroke serviced by the team at Shadetree West Layton.

Jordyn at the front desk and maybe Tom (not sure of his name) were so great to keep us informed about the status of the diagnostics and then the repair. They were aware of the budget knowing what was important to fix now and what could be budgeted for later.
The cost was painful but it was fair! We had called around and feel we were treated fairly. We will go back in the future and refer others as well.
The cookies and note left on the front seat were a nice just gesture as well.

Brought BMW in for front 2 struts replaced and was told the car also needed cabin air filter replaced and transmission fluid replaced. I like the work done and will have cars oil change done in a few months. Thanks

Great communication! I was very pleased that someone always followed up on my questions. The new west location is going to be so convenient. They did a thorough job in evaluating my needs, providing an estimate and looking over my vehicle to make a game plan. Shadetree Automotive put a Banks air intake system on my 2015 Dodge Ram. The work done looks great and has also enhanced the performance of my truck. Would recommend them to anyone.

Shadetree is absolutely amazing. We had taken our bronco to tunex previously who made an issue that was going on worse. From tunex it end up at the Ed Kenley Ford dealership who then told us we needed an entirely new engine. We replaced the engine only to get it back from the dealership with new problems. Took it back to the dealership they turned around and told us that the torque converter and whole transmission now needed to be replaced. But when asked what testing they had done to determine this they hadn’t done even the basic steps. They just wanted us to fork over another 10k. After talking with some people we decided to take it to shadetree for a second opinion. With in 48 hours of dropping the car off at shadetree not only had they determined that the transmission was in good working order, but it did not need to be replaced. When ford had changed out the engine they had reset the entire computer system, and then failed to test drive it enough to get the system reset. Ford did not tell us or explain this to us at all. Shadetree explained it all in very clear detail. There only recommendation was to do a service to the transmission and change the fluids since it was due. We gave them the go ahead, along with a changing of brake pads as well as the differential fluid while it was there since they was also in need of a change. Not only did they save us thousands in repairs that was not needed, they also had the car back in perfect running condition and returned to us with in 48 hours. Something the Ford dealership was unable to do the entire nearly two months that they had our car at there dealership supposedly working on it. I would highly recommend taking your car to shadetree, they are extremely fast and efficient, kind, communicate clearly and consistently on what is going on with your car. And they will end up possibly saving you thousands in repairs that somewhere else may say is needed. These guys are awesome and have won our family’s business from now on.

Shadetree takes care of their customers! I took my (new-to-me) Subaru to Shadetree to have their comprehensive inspection performed so I can know the overall state of the vehicle. They did the inspection and delivered the report as promised at 2:00pm. When I dropped the car off earlier this morning, I had a short-list of concerns for them to look into. They addressed my concerns and detailed other noteworthy items in their aforementioned report. There were a couple of items they promptly took care of today so that I didn't have to come back at a later time. As long as I live in area, this is my shop! Thank you Shadetree! In a market of substitutes, customer service is the only product you really sell. Today you earned a long-term customer!

Shadetree Automotive in West Layton has been great to work with. Jordyn and Chad are awesome — easy to talk to, clear about what’s going on, and never pushy.
They replaced the steering rack and transfer case seal on my 2004 Titan, did an alignment, and even threw in a power-steering flush and hose replacement. The truck was done a day early and feels so much better to drive now.
They’ve definitely earned my trust. I’ll be sticking with them.

It’s always stressful when your car breaks down — you never know who to trust for repairs. I’ve had bad experiences in the past with shops saying things “needed” to be fixed when they really didn’t, and I ended up feeling taken advantage of.
That was absolutely not the case with Shadetree. I never felt pressured to do more than what I came in for. They did a thorough inspection, made honest suggestions, and left the decisions up to me. They even got my car back to me earlier than expected and kept me informed every step of the way.
While I hope my car doesn’t break down again anytime soon, I know it’s inevitable — and I’m grateful to have finally found a shop I can trust. Jordyn, Chad, and Tom were awesome to work with!

Shadetree makes it so easy to have my car serviced. I appreciate the fact that I can take one of their loaner cars or they have a ride service that makes everything so convenient. They are reputable and have always done the excellent job for us! I have used both of their locations in Layton. Both teams Go above and beyond my expectations
