This is hands down the worst mechanic I have had the displeasure of working with. They charged me thousands of dollars trying to chase a simple error code that they completely failed to properly diagnose and fix. I later took my vehicle to another mechanic and they had it fixed in less than a day for only a few hundred.If you need anything more than the simplest of servicing go elsewhere. Even the high school kids a jiffy lube know more about vehicles then this place.

It’s so hard to find a good helpful mechanic that cares about my car and doesn’t cost a fortune but at Extreme Auto they value both my time and money and I got my car fixed in 2 days and they did an amazing job, if any of my friends or family have any car troubles I definitely recommend Extreme Auto!Services: General repairs & maintenance

Super happy with the entire staff at Extreme Auto. Got my car in and out in 2 days. There were no surprises with the cost and the radiator is working perfect. We will definitely use them again!!

If it was possible to give a 0 I would. This establishment has the WORST customer service I have EVER. Experienced!!! At first I thought they fixed the problem perfectly and a few weeks later I found out there was something that was not fixed which ended up costing $500 more somewhere else. The other mechanic told me that if they would have just advised me to have something else looked at, it would have saved me the $500. When I called Extreme auto the receptionist/secretary or whatever her title is was so rude to me! She kept cutting me off and was sooooo rude. There was no accountability and they were down right mean to me. If I treated my customers the way they treated me, I wouldn't have a job! I was shaking after I got off the phone with them because they were so mean! I would suggest Jer's or Les Schwab, those establishments know what customer service means. So disappointed

Wow where do I begin? Well first I called earlier in the week and spoke to a guy he didnt give his name just answered the phone "extreme auto". I explained i was calling for a price quote to have a fuel pump and filter replaced. I asked for the full price parts and labor out the door. He quotes me at exactly $259.09 out the door. I call back the next day to schedule the appt and an older lady answers the phone. Right away this lady is extremely rude and disrespectful. I tell her about the phone call with the gentleman the day before and so we continue to set up an appt and she says that i will need to drop off my vehicle in the morning and come back for it at the end of the day. I tell her thats not necessary its about a 4 hr job ill just wait there. She begins to argue and says no itll be an all day job. I ask why? She explains that the mechanic will need my car for an hr to diagnose it and see if the fuel pump is really the problem. I explain ive already had a diagnosis elsewhere and im not paying for another diagnosis to tell me the same thing. She says diagnosis is free. So again she says ill need to leave my car there all day. Again im not understanding why all day? She says after they drive my car for an hr and diagnose it they will remove the bad fuel pump from my car and attempt to locate and order the fuel pump and fuel filter, meanwhile my car is just sitting there. So i ask why can u not just order the part and i can bring my car once you have the part and we can do it then. This whole time this lady is arguing with me saying thats not how they do it. They will not order the part until THEIR diagnosis tells them its the fuel pump. I explain thats the only car I have and I wont be able to get back home and back to the shop in layton unless I uber or lyft mind you im in riverdale. I just dont understand why my car has to sit at their shop taken apart for however long it will take them to locate and get the pump in hand and why they have to do their own diagnosis when ive already had one done. Whose to say how long it would even take for them to get the part. So i go ahead and take a chance and hope it doesnt take longer than a day that ill be without my vehicle so i schedule the appt. She calls back 20 mins later and says the guy gave me the wrong price quote that he only quoted me the parts not the labor fee and that the price just went from $259.09 to $5-600. Im like no I asked him for the quote out the door and verbatim he said "pump, filter and labor out the door $259.09" I even explain i have it on recording because of situations like this i have an automatic phone call recorder installed. She began yelling saying too bad that she will not honor that price. So i told her fine, then cancel the appt and I hung up. I have never been so angry and so disrespected by a customer service person in my life. That lady should not work there because she very clearly does not posess professional communication skills. If there was any way I could I would file a huge complaint with management but according to her the shop is run by only 2 guys. I do not recommend that you take your vehicle here. Yes their prices are cheaper however you get what u pay for an apparently cheaper prices with them mean an extremely unprofessional and a very rude customer service experience. Unfortunately i was unable to get any names because they answer the phone simply with "Extreme Auto".

Finding a great, honest mechanic is hard but not with Extreme Auto! I have been using these guys for many years and have never had a bad experience. Most recently I took in my van to make sure it would be ready for a long road trip for my family vacation. It ended up needing about $1600 worth of radiator & wheel bearing work (this included the general maintenance I requested) They got the repairs done timely and once I got it back I drove it for about 4 days before it broke down. I was way worried it was about to be a nightmare but Lael was so professional about everything, even driving out himself to my house to drive my van back to his shop. He was able to see where the issue was and didn’t charge me anything more to correct. Went on my trip with no issues and couldn’t be happier! Thank you Lael!Service: General repairs & maintenance

When I dropped off my Volvo with a check engine light they said they probably couldn't get to it today, but would probably get to it in the morning. I called days later and they hadn't looked at it yet. Said they were busy. I called back again in a week. Still nothing! Three weeks total they still had not even looked at it! I went and picked it up and took it somewhere else. No apologies, just handed me the keys. I was not rude or demanding at any point in time. I will not be going back.
