I've been using key bank since I was a teenager in high school. That was back in the 90's. I have been very happy with their service and when I call the location for help, it is fixed as best as possible from there end since there are no locations where I am at now. I use their app to deposit checks and have had little to no problems with it. I wouldn't have stayed with key bank this long if I had any serious issues. Each time I talk to someone whether it is at a branch or a customer service line, they all have been pleasant and accommodating.

Never before had a bank charge for cashing their own customers check especially when it was a minor getting paid with it. 100% will not do any kind of business with a bank that charges $7 of a little kids check of $100. *Reply to owners: The check was given to a minor who does not have a bank account by a Keybank customer. Every other bank you take the check to the bank it was written on they don't charge a dime.

Honestly this is one of the worst banks ive ever had. I dont get access to my money whenever i want or need. I almost missed my car payment cause of this garbage. Then when you actually have fraud activity on your account they refund you to take it away 2 months later when you thought the situation was all taken care of then you cant get ahold of anyone other than a robot to help you with the money they just took from you. Often cant even access my account information online cause the app is under maintenance, dont even get me started with their in person customer service. "We are only here for one thing, you." yet you got most of your guys trained to stare at the ceiling while one guy takes care of everyone else. Do yourself a favor and go to wells fargo americas first or bank of america cause these are much better than key any day. Wouldnt it be crazy if after this review i finally get taken care of by a worker in keybank?

I went into the branch on October 14 paid my account down to $0. I signed the paperwork to have the accounts closed. 3 months later I get notice that they have sent the supposedly closed accounts into collections because they charged maintenance fees and overdraft fees for the account being at $0 dollars for the last three months. The banker that I spoke with did not in fact close the account, the collections department refuses to do anything saying that the fees are valid because the account was never closed. I am going to go the branch tomorrow and try to resolve the issue hopefully the manager there will redeem theirselves and I can fix this review.

I opened a checking account here because I wanted to have a second account besides my first bank. I'm a minor so my mom had to come with me, and they put her name on the card that I waited 2 weeks to get. We went in and told them about this problem and they redid everything, and promised that the new card would have my name on it, since it is MY account. They sent out another card, and it had my mom's name on it AGAIN. I will be closing the account, again. With my first bank, I got my card the same day, and it had my name on it instead of my parent's. Super disappointing.

Did a wire transfer on Thursday and it never went through, online support said on Saturday its still in process and to check on Monday!This is not acceptable.Update, online support lied, it never went through, there was no record of it and no one checked to verify if it was in process or not. I checked on the next Tuesday and there was no record of it going through or on my account, they said they send my money to a third party to create the wire transfer, I asked who and they did not know who the third party is but nothing was shown on my account until Thursday one week later. Lesson learned, dont ever trust Key bank with your money.

They charge over $7.00 to cash their own checks.......Response- you already charged $7 for your own checks. Why would I ever want to open account with you guys. I could only imagine how crazy the fees are. No thank you!!!

Key Bank will NOT close down my checking account--have visited the branch twice, talked to online support MANY times.Each month, they hit me with a $25 service fee for no activity, no funds.Each month, they waive the fee, promise to close the account, and then do not.Close my account!

Went to Key bank today to cash out a check and they didn’t let me said it was impossible due to not being able to accept my form of identification that is a work authorization from uscis and a debit card ask them to double check and basically was told their was nothing they can do, they seriously have to update their system and stop being so ignorant.

Worst banking experience of my life. Don't put your money in this bank. They are so disgusting and evil they make Marilyn Manson look like a girl scout. Never gave me my sign on bonus of 200 and try to find ways to charge me overdraft fees even though I don't have overdraft protection. Also kept changing my address so I couldn't purchase things online id get it fixed then sure enough it was always changed back to the wrong one. These people make me sick.

I went to this branch to withdrawals money that was direct deposited and because there was an attempted scam on the account the branch has to call in to a specialist to get a temporary hold removed so I can withdraw money! The branch manager was totally rude and refused to call the specialist and to be a branch manager you would think she has experienced this in the past! But she refused to call them and told me that I would have to call them and she would nor be giving me my money no matter what! So I called them and they had to reprimand the branch manager to get her to help me! Bianca is the absolute worst manager I have ever seen and should be demoted if not fired! Don’t go to this branch as long as she works there she doesn’t know her job!

Banker was rude.He was sigh the whole time. I asked him about apply business credit card and clover. Seems like he didn’t want to help. 2nd times, he did not help out because he doesn’t know anything about clover, I understand that but as soon as I turn he had a big sigh. I would close my business account here from bad customer service.

Literally you’re better off with a prepaid debit card from Walmart than this bank.
