Frustrated that I asked how much extra the wormer was and was told $4 but after looking at the receipt it was an extra $30. Still cheaper than going to a vet office but I could have easily bought that wormer and done both of my dogs for that price.

The lady who checked us in was so very sweet and gentle with my kitty, he was nervous but she knew how to handle him and she was so kind to me as well. The vets themselves were so kind and gentle and they did really really good distracting my cat even though he was too smart for the treat. Very grateful for the compassion shown towards me and my baby.

I had a really good experience here. My dog is by no means a chill calm boy and he gets really scared at vet appointments but everyone was very understanding and they were able to vaccinate him quick and painless. My dog also loved being able to pick out a toy on the way to check out. I have taken him to multiple other vet offices and by far this was the least stressful for both of us.

VETCO saved the day when I overlooked my dog’s overdue rabies vaccine before going out of town. I was able to make an appointment same-day, and the process was so easy and convenient. The vets and techs were so kind and helpful, and really made my experience stress-free! You can tell they care for animals, and even made sure to make a note on my dog’s account about which gauge needle to use to make her more comfortable. I was so nervous about not being able to go to my regular vet, but the staff at VETCO was incredible! Thank you for all that you do.

The first issue is the “pop up clinic” layout where a table is in the middle of a store and that is where the animals are handled. My dog (a beagle) was distracted by all the other animals around and as a result was very hyper when he was put on the table to get vaccinations. The second issue is that the staff made no attempt to calm him down or settle him down prior to treatment, they went straight to holding him down. They placed a muzzle on him, which I was alright with, but then they held his head and neck so tight he could not breathe. I could see his eyes popping out of his head and foam forming around his mouth. I stood up to say something and they told me I could not touch him while they were working. Fine, but at least let him breathe. My dog did not eat for almost a day after his appointment and coughed regularly. He also had busted blood vessels in his eyes, so that tells you how rough they treated him. It’s not attempting to restrain him that was the issue, it was not attempting to calm him down or even talking/playing with him before starting and how they restrained him by basically choking him out to get compliance. I had to step in to have them release him. This was completely unacceptable. I’ve never had this issue (or at least never been told there were issues) in an actual Vet clinic. These pop up clinics are ridiculous and should not be used. But because I know money means more than anything else, at least put a partition up around the table so there is some privacy which can help with calming a pet down. I waited for medication after my appointment and several dogs after mine were treated the same way and fought to get away from them. This was a terrible experience for my pet and I will not bring him back to this type of unprofessional pop up ever again and strongly encourage other pet owners to not use these either. Invest in building/developing actual clinics and private rooms like are in some Petco or don’t do it at all. Completely unprofessional and dangerous. This was at the Layton, UT location.

The main veterinarian was very rude and had an attitude and tone towards me and the vet assistant that were there helping her it rubbed me the wrong way and was very unprofessional

It was my first time taking my small dog for the vaccine clinic. Everyone from the lady who checked him in, to include the vet tech and vet were amazing!!! He had a series of shots and they were patient and he did very well!! Highly recommended ?

I was excited because I had a coupon for a free bag of dog food and when I got to the register, the cashier had the audacity to ask me why I was purchasing this specific brand of food. I asked if there was a reason I shouldn't and she went on to explain the "harmful" ingredients and recommended to get a bag of food that was close to price. I said no and wanted to go through the purchase. She then told me to go home and do my research on the food. I ended up leaving without purchasing the food. How dare you even question what I buy for my dogs. Why sell the food if it's so bad? Very disappointed in how I was treated.

After dropping my dog off at the groomers in which they complimented how well his coat looked ( very little matting). I picked my dog up 5.5 hours later only to find him shaved bald. I got in the car and cried. I can't believe I paid $100 for this horrible cut. I could have shaved him bald myself. I took him to professionals to get a well styled and trimmed cut. I even showed them a picture is what I wanted. I'm almost speechless. I'm so upset. I will not return and would never recommend this service to any doodle owner!! Just horrible!! * edited to add that I called and was issued a full refund. They were very apologetic. Although, I will not go back and I have a dog that looks like a rat... I did get my $100 back

Don't take your dogs there to be groomed. I had been growing the hair out on my dogs head for six months so she would have a beautiful ponytail on her head, been lovingly brushing it every night. Took her there to be groomed. Specifically told them NOT TO CUT THE HAIR ON HER HEAD!! When I picked her up she had the spindly looking top ponytail like they had tried to gather up strands to even make it and all of her hair on top was cut off. I'M FUMING!! To top it off I was charged for grinding her nails which they had not done. Had to ask them to do it before I left. The girl was like I knew I forgot to do something. Obviously they CANNOT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS TO THE LAYTON PETCO TO GET THEM GROOMED THEY DONT HAVE A CLUE HOW TO TAKE INSTRUCTIONS AND DO IT PROPERLY!!!

An absolute mess - boxes and product/supplies everywhere but on the shelves, employees talking to each other but not bothering to ask if customers need any help, and I'm pretty sure I was charged more for the items I purchased than the posted price. However, the worst part was the rude & surly cashier, Madison, who should never be allowed around or near people...ever. I'll be going exclusively to PetSmart from now on.

I scheduled my appointment over a month ago and received text confirmations regarding my appointment and showed up today for the full groom and was told that they did not have a groomer available and that all they could give my dog was a bath.
