We went to HD to buy a new grill. There were a few HD employees stocking shelves next to the grills but none asked if they could help us. Finally found someone that would talk to us and of course that is not his department BUT he would find someone. Another person came up and told us what to do. Took a picture of the item # and off we went to the service desk. Waited about 20 min in line for our turn to order and pay for grill. ( We get that there are not enough people to do the work load anymore) Once it was our turn the sales associate said the grill was free assembly or free delivery not both free. We told her the sign by the grills clearly states free assembly and free delivery for grills over $400. The sales associate called her boss over and the boss told us the same thing------ free assembly or free delivery. My husband took the boss over to the sign and pointed to the word AND. Anyway after about an hour we had ordered our new grill. ( At this point I would have given HD a 4 out of 5 stars). It was supposed to be delivered the next day but there was a mix up and they called my husband soooo no problem. Two days later we are waiting for the phone call that HD are close to delivering the grill. Imagine our surprise that my husband gets a text saying grill delivered. We check outside and sure enough there is our grill. No knock at door or doorbell. Communication was somewhat good but why can't the delivery person take a couple more steps to ring the doorbell. Totally Ridiculous

My husband and I bought a 9.5ft werewolf for next Halloween. We did curbside pickup and it was a great experience. Matt came out to chat with us about our order and brought us a complimentary water. He got it loaded up in the back of our suv and we took it home. We decided to put it together in the living room to make sure we have all the pieces and that everything works properly. To our surprise, our werewolf has two left arms. We reached out to Home Depot in hopes that they could send us a right arm. Unfortunately, they didn't have any in stock, but said they ship one out once they had them. On 11/23 they said they had a right arm and would ship it out shortly. Weeks passed, so we reached out for an update. That's when they said they were focusing on holiday requests and would eventually get our arm shipped out. Just a few minutes after that email, they emailed again and practically told us to get a refund (and return the werewolf). I'm really disappointed in Home Depot's customer service and the way they are handling this issue. I'm also disappointed with the distributor they are using. We will be sure to take our business elsewhere from here on out.

Danielle in truck rental made our experience so much less stressful than it should have been. Will definitely recommend this location to others looking for rentals!

Since the launch of the Home Depot app, my experience at this location has improved. I'm now able to quickly find what I am looking for. It is difficult to find an employee to help but between the app and the self-checkout machines, I don't need to interact with the employees at this location. Through the pandemic, this location has done a good job at keeping shelves stocked and in usually about to find what I need. Any missing items I chalk up to the pandemics impact to the supply chain. The location is convenient being on Main Street and having a side street that connects Home Depot with Walmart and other shopping.

Arrived at HD in Layton after a 20 mile trip from Morgan and realized I'd forgotten my wallet. Ok, my fault, but it happens-- right? No problem, I thought. I had my checkbook , and using my phone I figured I could easily prove my identity. I immediately went to the Customer Service desk (a misnomer if there ever was one), where I was "helped" by a young woman who looked like she had just escaped from Santa's workshop for misfit elves. I explained my problem, offering to show her everything from my car registration, Facebook page, and even log into my bank account to prove the funds were available -- (something a Drivers License doesn't do)! Her answer: "Can't do it. It's policy." I asked to see the manager. Same answer. "They won't help you either. It's policy." So... I drove the half mile to Burton Lumber, explained my problem, got what I needed, wrote them a check, and went on my way. Now I have a "Policy" of my own. Never go to Home Depot.

Went shopping at your Layton location tonight for some craft wood. After finally finding some quality wood we asked a sales person in the flooring department if we could get the wood cut and he said yes to go to the cutting area and he would page someone to help me. We went back to the cutting area and they paged some help. No one came. For 45 min. They paged 4 times. We had to ask for help 7 times. No one ever came. We left all the wood in the cart and went home. So frustrating!! Should have just gone to Lowe's.

On this is the Man Cave play place! For the most part you on your own in this place. You can find help and sometimes even good advice. Then again you can be wondering around for what seems to be hours looking for an employee. Saturday's & holidays are crazy at this place.... just avoid if you can. If you are a DIY kind of a guy/gal and you know what you want it's the place to come. As with every large big box store they have their good & bad. They do try to get things right. Like the online order and pickup at store for free shipping. I have had good results with that. Walk the isles to get ideas and see new items & trends. Happy hunting fellow HD hunters

Every HD seems to have a different store layout which makes it difficult to get your bearings in a new store. Without help navigation makes it that much harder to find something.

I ordered a washer and dryer. The dryer was on backorder for 4 weeks. Ok, no big deal. We scheduled delivery and made arrangements to be home for the future delivery. The day before we call Home Depot because we haven't heard any updates... SURPRISE, the dryer will take another three weeks. With all the price matching these days we picked Home Depot to purchase from and am very disappointed they couldn't place a simple phone call to tell us that our order was delayed.

Home depot says they deliver on-base housing (Hill AFB), but didnt say that their waiting policy is only 15 minutes waiting at the gate. If you live on base, you know that every vehicle needs to be searched/inspected before comming to base. So, if there are more than 1-2 trucks ahead of the home depot delivery, then they will just send u a text that your delivery date needs to be re-scheduled because they don't want to wait. I recommend going to Lowe's instead if you live on-base housing. They have a Tuesday/Thursday guaranteed delivery and are willing to wait, no matter how long the line is going inside the base.

Wade is an outstanding gentleman in the rental department. I haven't had customer service like that is a long long time. If you are renting a tool ask for him .. so helpful. Even got the items out of the storage area for me. I'm glad things worked out especially since I rented scaffolding before that was terrible and I took it back asking for a refund and that guy was very rude. When I picked up scaffolding no one even helped me get it out of the area it's stored in. I was nervous about renting here again but now I'd gladly go back.

Customer service is sorely lacking at this location. My wife purchased 10 bags of mulch (they were not real heavy, just awkward to handle) and did not get any assistance in loading them into the car. In fact, two employees walked by when she was loading them and they did not even offer to help. Next time we'll give our business to Lowe's.

We have been able to get everything and anything when ever we go except sometimes the employees are completely lost as to where things are, but that is our luck I'd say; besides that the place is, for us, a 4 Star and so far the online ordering-pick up helps and "it just works".

DO NOT use these clowns for Home appliances. I went on line on 4/2/18 and bought a washer and dryer, and used the HD website to schedule my delivery for 4/6/2018 (the earliest date available). HD charged my credit card on 4/4/18 for $1,908. On 4/5/18 I checked e-mails to find that they had scheduling issues and changed my delivery to Sunday 4/8/2018. Then I got a second e-mail from them that, DUH, they don't make deliveries on Sundays, so they were re-re-scheduling my delivery to 4/10/2018. Since I was going to be out of town on 4/10, I cancelled the entire purchase from HD. I got on-line with RC Willey and went down to their warehouse an hour later, bought the same washer and dryer and installed them myself on 4/5/18 saving $50 from the HD price. AND THE STORY DOESN"T END YET - it is now 4/26/2018 and I've made multiple contacts with HD and the scumbags still haven't credited back my charge card $1,908 for the non-purchase. So, I repeat - do not use these clowns for appliance purchases
