Ive waited 14 business days, so 20 days. I call and they claim to have been trying to call people because UPS lost their shipment. I was quoted 7 to 10 days. The second pair they sold me the darkest polarized tint possible so i can only wear them driving and i cant see everything because they're so dark. How are my clients supposed to look me in the eye? Im so disappointed!

I had a great experience at Shopko Optical! Dr.Haderlie was excellent very professional and made me feel comfortable throughout the exam. Paige was extremely friendly and kind, and the entire staff was very kind as well. There was no waiting at all, I was called in right away. Highly recommended!

Erica was amazing with helping me get my contact lenses ordered. She was very nice and genuinely cared. I had my son with me and she happily kept the conversation going with him and matched his excitement. Thank you Erica!

Amazing employees!!! Rhiannon is incredible and was such a helpful person! She deserves a raise and every other employee there! They helped me pick out the right frames and gave helpful assistance and opinions! They were WONDERFUL!

I haven’t been to the eye doctor in 3 years the friendly people at shopko optical made the experience easy and wonderful. Erica at the front desk made sure I was completely taken care of. And the doctor I saw was so kind and did a great job of making me feel comfortable. Well done shopko optical.

I don’t normally leave bad reviews, but I’m making an exception in hopes that someone in leadership sees this.
I’ve spent hundreds of dollars at this company over the years—prescription lenses, frames, multiple orders. I’ve brought in online-purchased frames before (twice, actually), and they had no issue installing the lenses I bought from them. Simple, no drama. Until today.
I came in after breaking a favorite pair of frames. I had a new identical set I bought online and just needed my prescription lenses (which they made) put into the new frames. Something they’ve done for me before—without any problem.
At first, the young lady helping me seemed hesitant, which was odd. But she said she could do it. As she started, the older woman working there stepped in like a hawk, took over the conversation, and immediately started pressing me for all my personal info. Cool, I was happy to give it. She claimed I didn’t buy the frames from them—which I never said I did. I told her clearly I had only bought the lenses and original frames from them.
She kept repeating herself, acting like I was trying to pull something shady, and said they wouldn’t help me at all because I didn’t buy these specific frames from them. Meanwhile, I’ve brought in online frames twice before and never got treated like a problem. This time, I was treated like a nuisance. Like a scammer.
Here’s the part that really got me: I would’ve gladly paid a fee if that’s what they wanted. But instead, they’d rather do nothing than lift a finger to help a returning customer who has supported them multiple times.
What a joke. Train your staff better. Teach them to use their heads. This wasn’t about policy—it was about poor attitude and zero customer care.
Oh, and for the record? Swapping lenses isn’t rocket science. I did it myself in the parking lot. Took about two minutes.
Embarrassing.

I have been getting glasses here for 30 years. Dr. Haderlie has always taken great care of me. Erica has been very helpful. I plan to keep coming here for future exams and glasses.

I’ve been using the Layton Shopko Optical since they opened many years ago. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I especially appreciate they work to find me the best price on very expensive glasses (bifocals).

Had a great experience at Shopko Optical in Layton. My family has been going to Dr. Haderlie for decades, and he still delivers the best care for our vision. Nicole and Paige were so helpful with everything else.
